The advent of healthcare information management systems(HIMSs)continues to produce large volumes of healthcare data for patient care and compliance and regulatory requirements at a global *** of this big data allows for boundless potential outcomes for discovering *** data analytics(BDA)in healthcare can,for instance,help determine causes of diseases,generate effective diagnoses,enhance Qo S guarantees by increasing efficiency of the healthcare delivery and effectiveness and viability of treatments,generate accurate predictions of readmissions,enhance clinical care,and pinpoint opportunities for cost ***,BDA implementations in any domain are generally complicated and resource-intensive with a high failure rate and no roadmap or success strategies to guide the *** this paper,we present a comprehensive roadmap to derive insights from BDA in the healthcare(patient care)domain,based on the results of a systematic literature *** initially determine big data characteristics for healthcare and then review BDA applications to healthcare in academic research focusing particularly on No SQL *** also identify the limitations and challenges of these applications and justify the potential of No SQL databases to address these challenges and further enhance BDA healthcare *** then propose and describe a state-of-the-art BDA architecture called Med-BDA for healthcare domain which solves all current BDA challenges and is based on the latest zeta big data *** also present success strategies to ensure the working of Med-BDA along with outlining the major benefits of BDA applications to ***,we compare our work with other related literature reviews across twelve hallmark features to justify the novelty and importance of our *** aforementioned contributions of our work are collectively unique and clearly present a roadmap for clinical administrators,practitioners and professionals to successf

This paper focuses on facilitating state-of-the-art applications of big data analytics(BDA) architectures and infrastructures to telecommunications(telecom) industrial *** companies are dealing with terabytes to petabytes of data on a daily basis. Io T applications in telecom are further contributing to this data deluge. Recent advances in BDA have exposed new opportunities to get actionable insights from telecom big data. These benefits and the fast-changing BDA technology landscape make it important to investigate existing BDA applications to telecom sector. For this, we initially determine published research on BDA applications to telecom through a systematic literature review through which we filter 38 articles and categorize them in frameworks, use cases, literature reviews, white papers and experimental validations. We also discuss the benefits and challenges mentioned in these articles. We find that experiments are all proof of concepts(POC) on a severely limited BDA technology stack(as compared to the available technology stack), i.e.,we did not find any work focusing on full-fledged BDA implementation in an operational telecom environment. To facilitate these applications at research-level, we propose a state-of-the-art lambda architecture for BDA pipeline implementation(called Lambda Tel) based completely on open source BDA technologies and the standard Python language, along with relevant *** discovered only one research paper which presented a relatively-limited lambda architecture using the proprietary AWS cloud infrastructure. We believe Lambda Tel presents a clear roadmap for telecom industry practitioners to implement and enhance BDA applications in their enterprises.

Objective: To identify the region conferring stability to pBSSB2(a linear plasmid, pBSSB1, containing a kanamycin cassette), which is unique to Indonesian isolates of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi. Methods: The open reading frame(ORF) 009 was identified as a toxin coding gene in the plasmid through introduction of translational termination codons in the ORF. Results: The stability function was located in a fragment that spanned nucleotides 5 766 to 6 828 in the linear plasmid genetic map. Ectopic expression of ORF009 in pBAD18 vector indicated ORF009 codes for a toxin. This fragment could stabilize plasmid pUC18 previously destabilized through mutation of the pcnB(plasmid copy number control) gene that codes for polyA polymerase. Majority of the cells expressing ORF009 were non-viable according to phase contrast microscopy. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that a linear plasmid fragment that carries a gene encoding a toxin possibly conferred stability to the parent plasmid. It was able to stabilize a multicopy plasmid of Escherichia coli.

The ground and low-lying collective states of a rotating system of N=3 bosons harmonically confined in quasi-two-dimension and interacting via repulsive finite-range Gaussian potential is studied in weakly to moderately interacting *** N-body Hamiltonian matrix is diagonalized in subspaces of quantized total angular momenta 0 ≤ L ≤ 4N to obtain the ground and low-lying *** numerical results show that breathing modes with N-body eigenenergy spacing of 2hω⊥,known to exist in strictly 2D system with zero-range(δ-function) interaction potential,may as well exist in quasi-2D system with finite-range Gaussian interaction *** gain an insight into the many-body states,the von Neumann entropy is calculated as a measure of quantum correlation and the conditional probability distribution is analyzed for the internal structure of the *** the rapidly rotating regime the ground state in angular momentum subspaces L=(q/2)N(N-1) with q=2,4 is found to exhibit the anticorrelation structure suggesting that it may variationally be described by a Bose–Laughlin like *** further observe that the first breathing mode exhibits features similar to the Bose–Laughlin state in having eigenenergy,von Neumann entropy and internal structure independent of interaction for the three-boson system considered *** the contrary,for eigenstates lying between the Bose–Laughlin like ground state and the first breathing mode,values of eigenenergy,von Neumann entropy and internal structure are found to vary with interaction.

The Internet of Things promises to offer numerous societal benefits by providing a spectrum of user applications. However, ethical ramifications of adopting such pervasive technology on a society-wide scale have not been adequately considered. Smart things endowed with artificial intelligence may carry out decisions that entail ethical consequences. It is assumed that the functioning of a smart device does not involve any ethical responsibility vis-a-vis its application context. Such a perspective may precipitate situations that endanger essential human values or cause physical or emotional harm. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the design of ethics within intelligent systems to safeguard human interests. In order to address these concerns, we propose a novel method based on Boolean algebra that enables a machine to exhibit varying ethical behaviour by employing the concept of ethics categories and ethics modes. Such enhancement of smart things offers a way to design ethically compliant smart devices and paves way for human friendly technology ecosystems.

A novel initiative in providing advanced civic amenities is the idea of smart city driven by the lnternet of Things. Owing to a lack of consensus regarding what constitutes a smart city, diverse smart city architectures have been proposed. However, it is observed that adequate consideration is not given to the most important element of a smart city i.e. its people. In our opinion, energy efficient technologically driven city does not necessarily lead to a smart city. Ethics, tradition and law form essential ingredients of complex social palette that cannot be ignored. In this work we propose Ethics-Aware Object-Oriented Smart City Architecture （EOSCA） that has two distinguishing features. Firstly, we propose an object oriented layered architecture where an object represents an abstraction of a real world thing along with requisite security and ethics parameters. Secondly, we propose to integrate socio-cultural and ethical aspects within the smart city architecture by dedicating a separate ethics layer. Such enhancement not only addresses the challenge of privacy and security of a smart city, but also makes it people friendly by incorporating ethics. Such measures would facilitate social acceptance of smart city paradigm and augment its economic value.

This study presents a development of an advanced cyberbased database-enabled design module for low- rise buildings （DEDM-LR） which provides estimation of the wind-induced responses for main wind force resisting frames by making direct use of pressure time histories measured at a large number of pressure taps over a suite of building models. These responses may be considered in lieu of code-specified load effects in which the overall accuracy may be influenced by the inherent simplifications in codes. In addition, this new automated approach is particularly attractive and advantageous as it allows a web-based online analysis/design via intuitive user-friendly interfaces for both the input and output in terms of familiar web-style forms that are nowadays very common in most of web-based services. Presently, the DEDM-LR hosts an aerodynamic database developed by the Tokyo Polytechnic University （TPU）, Japan for a variety of building configurations like flat, gable, and hip roofs under suburban terrain flow condition with immediate application to other databases. The paper shows the efficacy and validity of the DEDM-LR by walking through its details and examples on selected gable-roofed buildings. The architecture of DEDM-LR platform offers the ability to pool resources by hosting other databases that may become available in the near future.
