Background The aim of this study was to assess the effect of a 4-week dutasteride treatment on reducing the intraoperative and postoperative bleeding,as well as the amount and duration of irrigation required to clear the urine after transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)≥50 g in men receiving the antiplatelet drug(APD).materials and methods This double-blind randomized clinical trial included patients with a prostate size≥50 g who were indicated for TURP and were already receiving *** study was conducted in the Urology Department of Cairo University over a 12-month *** preoperative laboratory investigations were performed in all ***,baseline prostate size,serum prostate-specific antigen level,and International Prostate symptom score were *** patients were randomly divided into 2 equal groups(groups A and B).Group A,the dutasteride group,received dutasteride(0.5 mg)once daily for 4 *** B,the placebo group,received a placebo capsule once daily for 4 *** groups underwent bipolar *** patients were excluded from the study;9 patients from group A and 6 patients from group B,either due to drug intolerability or loss *** The mean blood loss was insignificant between the 2 groups immediately after and 24 hours after surgery(Δhemoglobin:1.41±0.63 g/dL vs.1.48±0.54 g/dL,2.12±0.70 g/dL vs.2.31±0.78 g/dL,respectively,p=0.631,p=0.333;Δhematocrit:2.97%±1.51%vs.3.16%±1.36%,4.96%±1.87%vs.5.73%±4.39%,respectively,p=0.610,p=0.380).However,there were significant differences in duration of indwelling urethral catheter(5.10±0.55 days vs.5.80±1.79 days,p=0.048),duration of bladder irrigation(13.60±2.85 hours vs.16.33±6.62 hours,p=0.044),and the amount of saline used for bladder irrigation(11.03±2.30 L vs.13.87±6.13 L,p=0.046)between group A and group *** Treatment with dutasteride for 4 weeks before TURP in men receiving APD did not significantly reduce intraoperative or postoperativ

Indoor localization systems are crucial in addressing the limitations of traditional global positioning system(GPs)in indoor environments due to signal attenuation *** complex indoor spaces become more sophisticated,indoor localization systems become essential for improving user experience,safety,and operational *** localization methods based on Wi-Fi fingerprints require a high-density location fingerprint database,but this can increase the computational burden in the online *** networks,which integrate prior knowledge or domain expertise,are an effective solution for accurately determining indoor user *** networks use probabilistic reasoning to model relationships among various localization parameters for indoor environments that are challenging to *** article proposes an adaptive Bayesian model for multi-floor environments based on fingerprinting techniques to minimize errors in estimating user *** proposed system is an off-the-shelf solution that uses existing Wi-Fi infrastructures to estimate user’s *** operates in both online and offline *** the offline phase,a mobile device with Wi-Fi capability collects radio signals,while in the online phase,generating samples using Gibbs sampling based on the proposed Bayesian model and radio map to predict user’s *** results unequivocally showcase the superior performance of the proposed model when compared to other existing models and *** proposed model achieved an impressive lower average localization error,surpassing the accuracy of competing ***,this noteworthy achievement was attained with minimal reliance on reference points,underscoring the efficiency and efficacy of the proposed model in accurately estimating user locations in indoor environments.

Globally,groundwater has globally emerged as a crucial freshwater source for domestic,irrigation,and industrial *** evaluation of groundwater quality in the Toshka region is imperative to ensure its suitability for the extensive agricultural and industrial activities underway in this promising,groundwater-dependent development *** is particularly significant as Egypt increasingly relies on groundwater reserves to address freshwater deficits and to implement mega-development projects in barren *** this study,fifty-two samples were collected from the recently drilled wells tapping into the Nubian sandstone Aquifer(NsA)in the Toshka *** quality was assessed through hydrochemical analysis,Piper diagram,and various indicators such as Na%,sAR,RsC,KR,mH and *** hydrochemical analysis revealed improved groundwater quality characteristics,attributed to continuous recharge from Lake *** Piper diagram categorised most of the water samples as"secondary salinity"water *** all wells proved suitable for irrigation with only two wells unsuitable based on mH values and six wells based on KR *** Total Hardness(TH)values,all samples were classified as"soft",indicating their suitability for domestic and industrial *** Quality Index(WQI)results concluded that all samples met WHO and FAO guidelines for drinking and irrigation,*** distribution maps,constructed using GIs,facilitate the interpretation of the *** monitoring of quality parameters is essential to detect any deviation from permissible limits.

In this paper,we propose a hybrid metric Palatini approach in which the Palatini scalar curvature is non minimally coupled to the scalar *** derive Einstein’s field equations,i.e.,the equations of motion of the scalar ***,the background and perturbative parameters are obtained by means of Friedmann equations in the slow roll *** analysis of cosmological perturbations allowed us to obtain the main inflationary parameters,e.g.,the scalar spectral index and tensor to scalar ratio *** this perspective,as an application of our analysis,we consider the Higgs field with quartic potential,which plays the inflaton role,and show that predictions of Higgs hybrid inflation are in good agreement with recent observational data[***.641,61(2020)].

Cancer-related to the nervous system and brain tumors is a leading cause of mortality in various *** resonance imaging(mRI)and computed tomography(CT)are utilized to capture brain *** plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of brain tumors and the examination of other brain ***,manual assessment of mRI images by radiologists or experts is performed to identify brain tumors and abnormalities in the early stages for timely ***,early diagnosis of brain tumors is intricate,necessitating the use of computerized *** research introduces an innovative approach for the automated segmentation of brain tumors and a framework for classifying different regions of brain *** proposed methods consist of a pipeline with several stages:preprocessing of brain images with noise removal based on Wiener Filtering,enhancing the brain using Principal Component Analysis(PCA)to obtain well-enhanced images,and then segmenting the region of interest using the Fuzzy C-means(FCm)clustering technique in the third *** final step involves classification using the support Vector machine(sVm)*** classifier is applied to various types of brain tumors,such as meningioma and pituitary tumors,utilizing the Contrast-Enhanced magnetic Resonance Imaging(CE-mRI)*** proposed method demonstrates significantly improved contrast and validates the effectiveness of the classification framework,achieving an average sensitivity of 0.974,specificity of 0.976,accuracy of 0.979,and a Dice score(DsC)of ***,this method exhibits a shorter processing time of 0.44 s compared to existing *** performance of this method emphasizes its significance when compared to state-of-the-art methods in terms of sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,and *** enhance the method further in the future,it is feasible to standardize the approach by incorporating a set of classifiers to increase the robustness of the brain classi

Accurate software cost estimation in Global software Development(GsD)remains challenging due to reliance on historical data and expert *** models,such as the Constructive Cost model(COCOmO II),rely heavily on historical and accurate *** addition,expert judgment is required to set many input parameters,which can introduce subjectivity and variability in the estimation ***,there is a need to improve the current GsD models to mitigate reliance on historical data,subjectivity in expert judgment,inadequate consideration of GsD-based cost drivers and limited integration of modern technologies with cost *** study introduces a novel hybrid model that synergizes the COCOmO II with Artificial Neural Networks(ANN)to address these *** proposed hybrid model integrates additional GsD-based cost drivers identified through a systematic literature review and further vetted by industry *** article compares the effectiveness of the proposedmodelwith state-of-the-artmachine learning-basedmodels for software cost *** the NAsA 93 dataset by adopting twenty-six GsD-based cost drivers reveals that our hybrid model achieves superior accuracy,outperforming existing *** findings indicate the potential of combining COCOmO II,ANN,and additional GsD-based cost drivers to transform cost estimation in GsD.

This study explores the possibility of discovering H±through its bosonic decays,i.e.,H±→W±φ(whereφ=h or A),within the Type-I two Higgs doublet model(2HDm).The main objective is to demonstrate the available parameter space after applying recent experimental and theoretical exclusion *** suggest that mH±=150 GeV is the most probable mass for the H±→W±φdecay channel in pp collisions at s1/2=8,13,and 14 *** also report on the application of a modern machine learning approach to a multivariate technique for heavy charged Higgs production in association with a single top quark through weak interaction to demonstrate its observability in comparison with the most relevant standard model backgrounds using the neural networks of boosted decision Tree(BDT),likelihood(LH),and multilayer perceptron(mLP).

Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) is a nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithm that has gained popularity for solving optimization problems. In GWO, the success of the algorithm heavily relies on the efficient updating of the agents’ positions relative to the leader wolves. In this paper, we provide a brief overview of the Grey Wolf Optimization technique and its significance in solving complex optimization problems. Building upon the foundation of GWO, we introduce a novel technique for updating agents’ positions, which aims to enhance the algorithm’s effectiveness and efficiency. To evaluate the performance of our proposed approach, we conduct comprehensive experiments and compare the results with the original Grey Wolf Optimization technique. Our comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed technique achieves superior optimization outcomes. These findings underscore the potential of our approach in addressing optimization challenges effectively and efficiently, making it a valuable contribution to the field of optimization algorithms.
