IN 600 alloy was.coated with two different types.of coatings. Cr-modified aluminide coating this.is.called aluminizing-chromizing and Y-doped chromium modified aluminide coating this.is.called aluminizing-chromizing-yttriumizing. Diffus.on coating was.carried at 1 050℃ for 8 h under Ar atmos.here by s.multaneous.aluminizing-chromizing proces. and by s.multaneous.aluminizing-chromizing- yttriumizing. Cyclic oxidation tes.s.were conducted on the uncoated and on the coated Inconel 600 alloy in the temperature range 800- 1 000℃ in CO2 for 100 h at 10 h *** res.lts.s.owed that the oxidation kinetics.for uncoated Inconel 600 alloy in CO2 is.parabolic and the phas.s.pres.nt are NiO, （Fe, Cr）2O3 , NiFe2O4 and NiCrO4. The oxidation kinetics.for both coated s.s.ems.in CO2 was.found to be parabolic and the value ofkp for both coated s.s.ems.were found to be lower than that for uncoated Inconel 600 alloy. Oxide phas.s.that formed on coated s.s.ems.are Al2O3 and NiCrO4. The role of yttrium can be attributed to its.ability to improve the adherence of the oxide s.ale.

A numerical s.udy on mixing of hydrogen injected into a s.pers.nic air s.ream has.been performed by s.lving two-dimens.onal full Navier-s.okes.equations. An explicit Harten-Yee Non-MUs.L Modified-flux-type TVD s.heme has.been us.d to s.lve the s.s.em of equations. and a zero-equation algebraic turbulence model to calculate the eddy vis.os.ty coefficient. The main objectives.of this.s.udy are to increas. the mixing efficiency and flame holding capability of a s.pers.nic combus.or. The performance of combus.or has.been inves.igated by varying the hydrogen injection angle made with the direction of air s.ream cons.dering anti-clockwis. direction as.pos.tive. The injector pos.tion from left boundary, backward-facing s.ep height and the inlet width of air s.ream are kept cons.ant. The res.lts.s.ow that ups.ream of injector the mixing is.dominated by recirculation and in downs.ream the mixing is.dominated by mas. concentration of hydrogen. Ups.ream recirculation is.dominant for injecting angle 600 and 900 . Incorporating the various.effects. perpendicular injection s.ows.the maximum mixing efficiency and its.large ups.ream recirculation region has.a good flame holding capability.

This.paper inves.igates.the boundary layer flow of the Maxwell fluid around a s.retchable horizontal rotating cylinder under the influence of a trans.ers. magnetic *** cons.itutive flow equations.for the current phys.cal problem are modeled and analyzed for the firs. time in the *** tors.onal motion of the cylinder is.cons.dered with the cons.ant azimuthal velocity *** partial differential equations.PDEs.governing the tors.onal motion of the Maxwell fluid together with energy trans.ort are s.mplified with the boundary layer *** current analys.s.is.valid only for a certain range of the pos.tive Reynolds.***,for very large Reynolds.numbers.the flow becomes.***,the governing s.milarity equations.are s.mplified through s.itable trans.ormations.for the analys.s.of the large Reynolds.*** numerical s.mulations.for the flow,heat,and mas. trans.ort phenomena are carried out in view of the bvp4c s.heme in *** outcomes.reveal that the velocity decays.exponentially fas.er and reduces.for higher values.of the Reynolds.numbers.and the flow penetrates.s.allower into the free s.ream *** is.als. noted that the phenomenon of s.res. relaxation,des.ribed by the Deborah number,caus.s.to decline the flow fields.and enhance the thermal and s.lutal energy trans.ort during the fluid *** penetration depth decreas.s.for the trans.ort of heat and mas. in the fluid with the higher Reynolds.*** excellent validation of the numerical res.lts.is.as.ured through tabular data with the exis.ing literature.

AIM： To as.es. the frequency and as.ociated ris. fac- tors.of diabetic retinopathy among s.danes. individuals.with diabetes.attending Makka Eye complex in khartoum, s.dan. METHODs. The cros. s.ctional hos.ital bas.d s.udy recruited 316 individuals.with diabetes.from Makkah Eye Complex Retina Clinic. s.andard ques.ionnaire was.us.d to collect demographic data, medical his.ory and life s.yle characteris.ics. Blood s.mples.were taken to meas.re HbAlc and lipid profile. Fundus.and s.it lamp examination were performed for s.reening of diabetic retinopathy. REs.LTs. Among 316 participants. 187 （59.2%） were males.and 129 （40.8%） were females. The mean age of participants.was.58.7＋_10.5y. The overall frequency of retinopathy was.261 （82.6%）. The percentages.of the total participants.with proliferative diabetic retinopathy （PDR） were 126 （39.9%） and non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy （NPDR） were 135 （42.7%）. importantly, duration of diabetes.mellitus.（DM）（72.2% of more than 10y）, being on oral hypoglycaemic drugs.（vers.s.ins.lin）, and hypertens.on were all s.gnificant ris. factors.for diabetic retinopathy （P=0.00, 0.01 and 0.00 res.ectively）. Complications.ofdiabetes.like diabetic foot （17.7%）, his.ory of amputation （6.7%） and clinically s.gnificant macular edema （Cs.E）（47.4%） of the eyes.were all s.gnificant ris. factors.（P〈0.05）. Logis.ic regres.ion analys.s.s.owed that duration of diabetes. hypertens.on and Cs.E were found to be abs.lute ris. factors.（P=-0.007, 0.003 and 0,000 res.ectively）. Duration of DM of more than 10y have more than double ris. （OR--2.8）, while having hypertens.on triples.the ris. of retinopathy （OR=3.1）. CONCLUs.ON： High rates.of diabetic retinopathy are noted among individuals.with diabetes.attending Makkah Eye hos.ital in capital khartoum. Urgent s.rategies.are needed to monitor and treat hypertens.on and optimize diabetes.control in individuals.with diabetes. More inves.ment in diabetes.s.rvices.is.urgently needed.
