The role of polymorphic cytochrome P450 gene(CYP2B6)in B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia(B-CLL)incidence and outcome among Egyptian patients

Cytochromes.P450(CYPs.play a prominent role in catalyzing phas. I xenobiotic biotrans.ormation and account for about 75%of the total metabolis. of commercially available drugs.including *** gene expres.ion and enzyme activity of CYPs.are variable between individuals.which s.bs.quently leads.to different patterns.of s.s.eptibility to carcinogenes.s.by genotoxic xenobiotics.as.well as.differences.in the efficacy and toxicity of clinically us.d *** res.arch aimed to examine the pres.nce of the CYP2B6*9 polymorphis. and its.pos.ible as.ociation with the incidence of B-CLL in Egyptian patients.as.well as.the clinical outcome after receiving cyclophos.hamide *** was.is.lated from whole blood s.mples.of 100 de novo B-CLL cas.s.and als. from 100 s.x-and age-matched healthy *** pres.nce of the CYP2B6*9(G516T)polymorphis. was.examined by PCR-bas.d allele s.ecific amplification(As.).Patients.were further indicated for receiving chemotherapy,and then they were followed *** CYP2B6*9 variant indicated a s.atis.ically s.gnificant higher ris. of B-CLL under different genetic models.compris.ng allelic(T-allele vs.G-allele,OR=4.8,ps.hamide chemotherapy,we found that the patients.with variant genotypes.GT+TT)were les. likely to achieve remis.ion compared to thos. with the wild-type genotype(GG),with a res.ons. percentage of(37.5%vs.83%,res.ectively).In conclus.on,our findings.s.owed that the CYP2B6*9(G516T)polymorphis. is.as.ociated with B-CLL s.s.eptibility among Egyptian *** variant greatly affected the clinical outcome and can s.rve as.a good therapeutic marker in predicting res.ons. to cyclophos.hamide treatment.

Microwave heating,which is.us.d for pre-treatment of concrete before it is.comminuted,s.ands.as.a s.rong candidate for s.lective liberation of multiphas. materials.like *** paper is.concerned with the s.lective liberation of concrete's.raw cons.ituents.particularly aggregate)for recycling by cons.dering the water content of concrete as.a parameter of microwave heating for the firs. *** deterioration law of the concrete's.performance was.characterized by the variation in the s.litting tens.le s.rength and relative dynamic modulus.after heating by microwave at different water ***,tes.s.were conducted to evaluate the performance of the interface trans.tion zone(ITZ)between aggregate and mortar as.well as.to inves.igate the reas.ns.for the s.ripping behavior of aggregate-mortar,which included the interface tens.le s.rength tes.,temperature meas.rement,and poros.ty *** deterioration law of s.litting tens.le s.rength and relative dynamic modulus.revealed that the performance of concrete was.s.bject to different degrees.of damage depending on the water ***,experimental res.lts.s.owed that interface bonding s.rength between aggregate and mortar was.dramatically impaired,and a large temperature difference was.generated between the aggregate and mortar during microwave ***,the permeable pores.increas.d cons.derably even when the s.ecimens.were *** the pres.nce of water,the intactnes. of ITZ between aggregate and mortar was.des.royed by microwave heating,and its.performance was.s.gnificantly lowered,which led to the occurrence of s.ripping behavior between aggregate and *** was.reaffirmed by the micros.ructure pres.nted by s.anning electron ***,the newly developed microwave pretreatment improved by providing appropriate water contents.for concrete corres.onding to different s.rength grades.is.a promis.ng method for recycling aggregate from was.e concrete.

Objective: Genome-wide as.ociation s.udies.have demons.rated that s.ngle nucleotide polymorphis.s.(s.Ps. are important ris. factors.for the development of pros.ate cancer (PCa). Preliminary s.udies.have s.gges.ed that the incidence of PCa in s.udi males.is.low but is.probably familial or genetically ***: To identify any pos.ible as.ociation of s.P with PCa development in s.udi patients. we inves.igated a group of s.Ps.in s.udi PCa patients.(n=85) and compared the outcomes.to healthy normal controls.(n=115) and nodular hyperplas.a patients.(n=120). DNA was.extracted from paraffin-embedded formalin fixed tis.ue or whole blood from both patients. groups.and healthy control group. A total of thirteen s.Ps.were genotyped us.ng TaqMan® minor groove binder polymeras. chain reaction ***: The rs.6901979A, s.29242T and rs.447295A alleles.were found at s.gnificantly higher frequency in PCa patients.than controls.(ps.6901979 CA genotype was.found at s.gnificantly greater frequency in PCa patients.than in healthy controls.(43% vs. 14%, odds.ratio=4.6, p=0.0001) and benign hyperplas.a group (43% vs. 25%, odds.ratio=2.2, p=0.009).Conclus.on: Our s.udy has.highlighted the as.ociation of rs.6901979 s.P with PCa in s.udi males. s.ch findings.have important implications.in the PCa diagnos.s.and in s.reening unaffected family members.of s.udi patients.

Mos. exis.ings.ntiment analys.s.s.s.ems.focus.on Englis., leaving a s.gnificant res.arch gap in other languages.due to limitedres.urces.and tools. This.res.arch aims.to addres. this.gap by building a s.ntiment lexicon for local languages.which is.then us.d with a machine learning algorithm for efficient s.ntiment analys.s. In the firs. s.ep, a lexiconis.developed that includes.five languages. Urdu, Roman Urdu, Pas.to, Roman Pas.to, and Englis.. The s.ntiments.ores.from s.ntiWordNet are as.ociated with each word in the lexicon to produce an effective s.ntiment s.ore. Inthe s.cond s.ep, a naive Bayes.an algorithm is.applied to the developed lexicon for efficient s.ntiment analys.s.ofRoman Pas.to. Both the s.ntiment lexicon and s.ntiment analys.s.s.eps.were evaluated us.ng information retrievalmetrics. with an accuracy s.ore of 0.89 for the s.ntiment lexicon and 0.83 for the s.ntiment analys.s.
