Development and Evaluation of the Mechanical Properties of Coconut Fibre Reinforced Low Density Polyethylene Composite

This research work developed and evaluated the mechanical properties of coconut fibre reinforced low density polyethylene (LPDE) composite material. The effect of fibre loading on the mechanical properties: tensile, flexural, and impact of the developed composite material have been investigated. Also carried out was the effect of fibre loading on the water absorptivity of the developed material. Sample categories of the developed composite were prepared by varying the fibre contents by weight at 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. The aim is to reduce the excessive waste disposal of LDPE materials that are largely found in the form of disposed water package materials (or pure water sachets) that usually affects the environment in the form of pollution. The water retting process was applied in extracting and cleaning fibre (or coir), while the mixed coir-LDPE (or developed composite material) was prepared by Compression Moulding Technique (CMT). The tensile and flexural properties were tested using Hounsfield Monsanto Tensometer (type w) while the impact properties were tested using the Charpy Impact testing machine. The microstructure of the composite was investigated using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The fractured surface morphology of the composite samples indicated a homogeneous mixture of the coir fibre and LDPE matrix. However, weak interfacial bonding between the coir fibre and LDPE matrix was also observed. The analysis of the water absorptivity showed that the developed composite materials have low water absorptivity at low fibre loading. However, at higher fibre loading, the water absorptivity increases significantly.

Diagenesis and its controls on reservoir quality of the Tambar oil field, Norwegian North Sea

A study of the diagenetic evolution of the Late Jurassic sandstones of the shallow marine facies in the Tambar oil field,Norwegian North Sea was carried out to understand its controls on reservoir *** samples and a set of wireline logs obtained from three wells were used to carry out petrographic studies including light optics and scanning electron microscopy,well log analysis,fluid inclusions,X-ray diffraction(XRD)for whole rock samples,clay mineral extracts and stable *** Tambar reservoir sandstones range mainly from siltstone to fine-grained sandstones,exclusively arkoses cemented mainly by microcrystalline quartz,euhedral quartz overgrowth,dolomite cement,illite and *** diagenetic/eodigenetic minerals include pyrite,calcite,and microcrystalline quartz and late diagenetic/mesodiagenetic minerals include quartz overgrowth,dolomite,illite and *** d18O values of dolomite cement in the Tambar sandstone reservoir range from11.77‰to3.57‰PDB,while the d13C values of the dolomite cement are from5.07‰to1.12‰*** temperature for fluid inclusions trapped in authigenic quartz fall between 130℃ and 169℃.The reservoir quality is controlled mainly by early formed grain-coating microcrystalline quartz that precipitated from the dissolution of sponge spicules which significantly inhibits quartz overgrowth *** emplacement do not show significant control on reservoir quality because considerable quartz cementation has taken place before the onset of major oil *** the coarse-grained sands show a correlation between quartz cement volume and water ***,the interpreted temperature for dolomite cementation is significantly higher for water leg-suggested effect of oil emplacement on the late ***-standing these controls on the reservoir quality will enhance the exploration strategy for the Tambar oil field.

Fabrication and characterization of gold nano particles for DNA biosensor applications

This research involves the preparation ofa biosensor using silicon oxide for biomedical applications, and its effective use for the detection of target DNA hybridization. An electrochemical DNA biosensor was successfully fabricated by using （3-aminopropyl） tri-ethoxysilane （APTES） as a linker molecule combined with gold nanoparticles （GNPs） on a thermally oxidized 5i02 thin film. The size of the GNPs was calculated by utilizing UV-vis data with an average calculated particle size within the range of 30 - 5 nm, and characterization by transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The GNP-modified SiO2 thin films were electrically characterized through the measurement of capacitance, permittivity and conductivity using a low-cost dielectric analyzer. The capacitance, permittivity and conductivity profiles of the fabricated sensor clearly differentiated DNA immobilization and hybridization.

Robust Multi-Output Machine Learning Regression for Seismic Hazard Model Using Peak Crust Acceleration Case Study,Turkey,Iraq and Iran

This paper for the first time improved a Robust Multi-Output machine learning regression model for seismic hazard zoning of Turkey, Iraq and Iran using constructed 3-D shear-wave velocity(Vs), seismic tomography dataset model for the crust and uppermost mantle beneath the study area. The focus of this paper’s opportunity is to develop a scientific framework leveraging machine learning that will ultimately provide the rapid and more complete characterization of earthquake properties. This work can be targeted at improving the seismic hazard zones system ability to detect and associate seismic signals, or at estimating other seismic characteristics(crust acceleration and crust energy) while traditionally, methods cannot monitor the earthquakes system. This work has derived some physical equations for extraction of many variables as inputs for our developed machine learning model based on a reliable understanding of the tomography data to physical variables by preparing huge dataset from different physical conditions of crust. We have extracted the velocity values of the shear waves from the original NETCDF file, which contains the S velocity values for every one km of the depths of the crust for the study area from one km down to the uppermost mantle beneath the Middle East. For the first time, this study calculated new seismic hazard parameter called Peak Crust Acceleration(PCA) for seismic hazard analysis by considering the transmitted initial seismic energy through the Earthy wrote in python language ’s crust layers from hypocenter. All machine learning algorithms in this studusing anaconda platform the open-source Individual Edition(Distribution).

A novel algorithm for distance measurement using stereo camera

Distance estimation can be achieved by using active sensors or with the help of passive sensors such as *** stereo vision system is generally composed of two cameras to mimic the human binocular *** this paper,a Python-based algorithm is pro-posed to find the parameters of each camera,rectify the images,create the disparity maps and finally use these maps for distance *** using real-time im-ages,which were captured from our stereo vision system,of different obstacles posi-tioned at multiple distances(60-200 cm)prove the effectiveness of the proposed program and show that the calculated distance to the obstacle is relatively *** accuracy of distance measurement is up to 99.83%.The processing time needed to calculate the distance between the obstacle and the cameras is less than 0.355 s.

The introduction of w-operation in the class of flat modules has been successful. Let R be a ring. An R-module M is called a w-fiat module if Tor1r（M, N） is GV-torsion for all R-modules N. In this paper, we introduce the w-operation in Gorenstein homological algebra. An R-module M is called Ding w-flat if there exists an exact sequence of projective R-modules ... → P1 → P0 → p0 → p1 → ... such that M Im（P0 → p0） and such that the functor HomR （-,F） leaves the sequence exact whenever F is w-flat. Several well- known classes of rings are characterized in terms of Ding w-flat modules. Some examples are given to show that Ding w-flat modules lie strictly between projective modules and Gorenstein projective modules. The Ding w-flat dimension （of modules and rings） and the existence of Ding w-flat precovers are also studied.

Mathematical models for process commonality under quality and resources breakdown in multistage production

Scour hole reduction at a diversion channel junction using different entrance edge shapes

In the current study,the effect of the entrance edge shape on the scour hole in the diversion junction region was experimentally *** investigation has considered three entrance modelsrounded edge shapes on one or both sides of the diversion channel entrance-with five different inlet edge radius ratios(rr) of 25%,37.5%,50%,62.5%,and 75% and five different diversion discharge ratios(Qr)of 7.5%,12.5%,17.5%,22.5%,and 30%.The results have found the direct relation between Qrand the scour depth to the diversion channel water depth ratio(ds/yb).Moreover,the use of a rounded edge shape on one or both sides of the diversion channel entrance instead of a sharp shape results in a reduction in scour depth to diversion channel water depth ratio(ds/yb) when the Qris greater than 20%.The results also indicated that the largest decrease in the scour coefficient(Kds) for the model with a rounded downstream edge compared with the sharp edge diversion channel entrance shape was 22% at a discharge ratio of 22.5% and an edge radius ratio of 37.5%.In addition,the entrance shape model with a rounded edge at the upstream outperformed other models in scour reduction with an average of all experiments of 5.77%.Finally,empirical relations for estimating scour depth for different rounded edge models in terms of the effective dimensionless parameters were established with coefficients of determination(R2) of not less than 0.853.

A sensitive and selective method employing chemiluminescence(CL)coupled with flow injection(FI)is reported for nalbuphine hydrochloride(NAL)assay in pharmaceutical *** enhancement effect of NAL on the CL reaction between tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)chloride-diperiodatocuprate(III){Ru[(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)-Cu(III)complex}in acidic medium is used as analytical *** optimal conditions of the CL reaction were sulfuric acid 1.0×10^(−3) mol/L,Ru[(bpy)s]2+7.5×10^(−5) mol/L,Cu(III)/Ag(III)complexes 4.0×10^(−4)/5.0×10^(−4) mol/L,sample loop volume of 120µL and flow rate of 2.5 mL/*** sensitivities of the method in terms of detection(S/N=3)and quantification(S/N=10)limits are 5×10^(−4) and 0.001 ppm(1 ppm=1 mg/L),*** linear response of the instrument in the form of CL intensity with respect to NAL concentration is over the range 0.001-15.0 ppm(R^(2)=0.9999)with relative standard deviation from 0.8%to 3.2%and injection throughput of 120 injection/*** applications of the method include the quantitative analysis of NAL in pharmaceutical injection *** and the average results of the proposed method are not significantly different from the results of a reported method by applying F-and paired student *** most likely CL reaction mechanism is written in accordance with spectrophotometric and CL studies.

In developed and developing countries, breast cancer is one of the leading forms of cancer affecting women alike. As a consequence of growing lifeexpectancy, increasing urbanization and embracing Western lifestyles, the highprevalence of this cancer is noted in the developed world. This paper aims todevelop a novel model that diagnoses Breast Cancer by using heterogeneous datasets. The model can work as a strong decision support system to help doctors tomake the right decision in diagnosing breast cancer patients. The proposed modelis based on three datasets to develop three sub-models. Each sub-model worksindependently. The final diagnosis decision is taken by the three sub-models independently. The power of the model comes from the diversity checks of patientsand this reduces the risk of wrong diagnosing. The model has been developedby conducting intensive experiments. Several classification algorithms were usedto select the best one in each sub-model. As the final results, the sub-modelaccuracies were 72%, 74% and 97%.
