Herein,iron oxide/hydroxides deposits(gossans)were utilized,for the first time,in the fabrication of magnetite nanoparticles(MNPs)to load modified coal(MC).The as-synthesized MNPs@MC composite was characterized via different techniques and utilized for the Cr(Ⅵ)*** studies supported by theoretical treatment were applied to offer a new overview of the Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption geometry and mechanism at 25-45℃.Experimental results suggested that the Cr(Ⅵ)uptake was mainly governed by adsorption-reduction coupled *** Langmuir model fitted well the Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption data with maximum adsorption capacities extended from 115.24 to 129.63 mg·g^(-1).Theoretical calculations indicated that Cr(Ⅵ)ions were adsorbed on the MNPs@MC following the theory of the advanced monolayer statistical *** number of ions removed per site ranged from 1.88 to1.23 suggesting the involvement of vertical geometry and multi-ionic mechanism at all *** increment of the active sites density and the adsorption capacity at saturation with improving temperature reflected an endothermic ***,the Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption was controlled by physical forces as the adsorption energies were less than 40 kJ·mol^(-1).The calculated free enthalpy,*** internal energy explained the spontaneous nature and the viability of Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption on the MNPs@MC *** results offer a new approach in utilizing the iron-rich deposits as gossans in the preparation of magnetic and low-cost adsorbents for wastewater remediation.

Ethyl 7-amino-3-（3-methyl-5-oxo- 1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-4-yl）-5-aryl-5H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine-6-carboxy- late was hydrolyzed with an ethanolic sodium hydroxide and the sodium salt thus formed underwent cyclization with acetic anhydride to afford 2-methyl-7-（3-methyl-5-oxo-l-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-4-yl）-5-arylthiazolo[3,2-a]- pyrimido[4,5-d]oxazin-4（SH）-one. This compound was transformed to related heterocyclic systems via its reaction with various reagents. The biological activity of the prepared compounds was tested against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria as well as yeast-like and filamentous fungi. They revealed in some cases excellent biocidal properties.

Pathophysiology of periventricular leukomalacia:what we learned from animal models

Periventricular leukomalacia （PVL）, a white matter injury （WMI） affecting the premature infant＇s brain is commonly associated with ce- rebral palsy （CP）. Among premature infants 〈 1,500 g, approximately 7,000 develop CP yearly and 20,000-30,000 exhibit major cognitive deficits yearly （Volpe, 2009）. PVL results from hypoxia-ischemia （HI） with or without infection and is characterized by white matter necrotic lesions, hypomyelination, microglial activation, astrogliosis, and neuronal death. Risk factors for the development of PVL include： prematurity associated with immature cerebrovascular development, HI insults with lack of appropriate auto-regulation of cerebral blood flow, free radical production, energy deprivation, intrauterine infec- tion and chorioamnionitis. Affected infants show definitive signs of cerebral palsy such as spastic diplegia, seizures, developmental delay, visual and hearing impairment, scoliosis and incontinence by 6-9 months of age. PVL can also occur in term infants with certain con- genital cyanotic heart disease which will not be our focus here （Volpe, 2001）.

Additive manufacturing(AM)technologies such as fused deposition modeling(FDM)rely on the quality of manufactured products and the process ***,the dimensional accuracy and stability of any AM process is essential for ensuring that customer specifications are satisfied at the highest standard,and variations are controlled without significantly affecting the functioning of processes,machines,and product *** study aims to investigate the effects of FDM fabrication conditions on the dimensional accuracy of cylindrical *** this study,a new class of experimental design techniques for integrated second-order definitive screening design(DSD)and an artificial neural network(ANN)are proposed for designing experiments to evaluate and predict the effects of six important operating *** determining the optimum fabrication conditions to obtain better dimensional accuracies for cylindrical parts,the time consumption and number of complex experiments are reduced considerably in this *** optimum fabrication conditions generated through a second-order DSD are verified with experimental *** results indicate that the slice thickness,part print direction,and number of perimeters significantly affect the percentage of length difference,whereas the percentage of diameter difference is significantly affected by the raster-to-raster air gap,bead width,number of perimeters,and part print ***,the results demonstrate that a second-order DSD integrated with an ANN is a more attractive and promising methodology for AM applications.

In this current century,most industries are moving towards automation,where human intervention is dramatically *** revolution leads to industrial revolution 4.0,which uses the Internet of Things(IoT)and wireless sensor networks(WSN).With its associated applications,this IoT device is used to compute the receivedWSN data from devices and transfer it to remote locations for *** general,WSNs,the gateways are a long distance from the base station(BS)and are communicated through the gateways nearer to the *** the gateway,which is closer to the BS,energy drains faster because of the heavy load,which leads to energy issues around the *** the sensors are battery-operated,either replacement or recharging of those sensor node batteries is not possible after it is deployed to their corresponding *** that situation,energy plays a vital role in sensor *** reducing the network energy consumption and increasing the network lifetime,this paper proposed an efficient cluster head selection using Improved Social spider Optimization with a Rough Set(ISSRS)and routing path selection to reduce the network load using the Improved Grey wolf optimization(IGWO)approach.(i)Using ISSRS,the initial clusters are formed with the local nodes,and the cluster head is chosen.(ii)Load balancing through routing path selection using *** simulation results prove that the proposed optimization-based approaches efficiently reduce the energy through load balancing compared to existing systems in terms of energy efficiency,packet delivery ratio,network throughput,and packet loss percentage.

Contralateral eye study of refractive,topographic and aberrometric outcomes after femtosecond assisted Myo Ring implantation and DALK for management of keratoconus

AIM：To evaluate the efficacy of femtosecond laser assisted MyoRing intrastromal corneal implant and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty （DALK） for management of moderate to advanced keratoconus regarding the degree of changes in visual acuity, refraction, corneal asphericity and ***：A prospective non comparative interventional case study was conducted in Ophthalmology Department,Ain Shams University Hospital in the period from January 2015 to February 2017. The study included 30 eyes of moderate to advanced keratoconus. MyoRing was implanted in one eye （Group Ⅰ） and DALK operation was performed in the contralateral eye of the same patient （Group Ⅱ）.Preoperative and 6mo post-operative uncorrected visual acuity（UCVA）, corrected distance visual acuity （CDVA）, spherical equivalent （SE）, corneal and refractive astigmatisms,keratometry and Q-value using topography images were acquired. Quality of vision was assessed in all eyes including total corneal, anterior corneal high order aberrations analysis at 5 mm pupil size and the Strehl ratio of point spread function （PSF） as an objective measure of ***：Mean postoperative UCVA, CDVA, SE, refractive astigmatism,keratometryreadingsandasphericity were statistically improved compared to preoperative parameters in both groups （P〈0.05）. Significant reduction of all corneal aberrations following both techniques（P〈0.05） was achieved except mean trefoil and mean PSF in Group Ⅰ （P〉0.05）. Postoperative corneal aberrations were significantly lower in Group Ⅱ compared to Group Ⅰ.A statistically significant negative correlation was found in Group Ⅰ between the mean change in CDVA （logMAR）and the mean preoperative and mean postoperative total corneal aberrations root mean square （RMS; r=-0.78,P=0.04）. Also a statistically significant negative correlation was found between mean preoperative coma RMS and mean post PSF （r=-0.86, P=0.01）. Using nanotechnology to prevent fines migration while production

Formation damage due to fines migration is a major reason for well productivity decline for oil and gas *** fines are small enough to pass through pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** factors affect fines migration such as flow rate,salinity,pH value,reservoir temperature and oil polarity,as well as changes in chemical environment induced by Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR)*** paper focuses on the effect of flow rates on fines detachment from the grain surfaces,which causing permeability *** the fluid inside the reservoir moves towards the wellbore,the fluid velocity increases,when the fluid reaches the critical flow rate these fines can be picked up into the *** fines captured by thinner pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** concentrations of nanoparticles were used to fix these fines on their sources and prevent their mobilization at high flow *** unique technique used in this study is changing the potential surfaces between fines and grain surfaces to prevent fines movement above the critical flow ***_(2)and MgO NPs used in this study can be adsorbed on the pore surfaces and reduce the repulsion forces between fines and pore ***_(2) and MgO nanoparticles at different concentrations(0.25,0.50 and 0.75 g/L)were used on treating the Abu-Rawash sandstone reservoir using Formation Damage System Cell *** experimental studies showed that using MgO NPs would prevent fines detachment from the pore surfaces and decrease the reduction of permeability at high flow rates more than SiO_(2) *** optimum concentration of MgO NPs was at 0.5 g/L as the permeability remediation at this concentration reaches to 64.83%.

Green-Naghdi （G-N） theory of thermoelasticity is employed to study the deformation of micropolar thermoelastic solid with voids considering the influence of various sources acting on the plane surface. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the analytical expressions of the displacement components, force stress, coupled stress, variation of volume fraction field and temperature distribution. The computed results are presented graphically when the volume source is applied. Comparisons of type II and type III with and without micropolarity effect are made with the results predicted in the context of （G-N） theory.

In developed and developing countries, breast cancer is one of the leading forms of cancer affecting women alike. As a consequence of growing lifeexpectancy, increasing urbanization and embracing Western lifestyles, the highprevalence of this cancer is noted in the developed world. This paper aims todevelop a novel model that diagnoses Breast Cancer by using heterogeneous datasets. The model can work as a strong decision support system to help doctors tomake the right decision in diagnosing breast cancer patients. The proposed modelis based on three datasets to develop three sub-models. Each sub-model worksindependently. The final diagnosis decision is taken by the three sub-models independently. The power of the model comes from the diversity checks of patientsand this reduces the risk of wrong diagnosing. The model has been developedby conducting intensive experiments. Several classification algorithms were usedto select the best one in each sub-model. As the final results, the sub-modelaccuracies were 72%, 74% and 97%.
