Neoproterozoic island arc assem.lage of the Arabian–Nubian Shield(ANS)in the Eastern Desert(ED)of Egypt com.rises juvenile suites of m.tavolcanics(m.),large am.unts of m.ta-sedim.ntary rocks(m.),and volum.nous m.tagabbros-diorites(m.D)and syn-tectonic intrusions of older granitoids(OG).We report here the updates of these four rock units in term. of classification,distribution,chem.cal characteristics,geodynam.c evolution,m.tam.rphism.and *** addition,we discuss these integrated data to elucidate a reasonable and reliable m.del for crustal evolution in the *** m.in features of these rock units indicate their relation to each other and the geodynam.c environm.nt dom.nated by early im.ature oceanic island arcs to prim.tive continental *** inform.tion of the island arc m.tavolcanic and plutonic rocks(gabbros,diorites,tonalites,and granodiorites)furnish evidence of the genetic *** include proxim.ty and a coeval nature in the field;all protolith m.gm.s are subalkaline in nature following calc-alkaline series with m.nor tholeiitic affinities;com.on geochem.cal signature of the arc rocks and subduction-related m.gm.tism.their sim.lar enrichm.nt in LREEs;and sim.lar m.jor elem.nt com.ositions with m.fic m.lts derived from.m.tasom.tized m.ntle *** volcano-sedim.ntary and the OG rocks underwent m.ltiphase deform.tion events whereas the m.D com.lexes deform.d *** on the m.gm.tic,sedim.ntological,and m.tam.rphic evolutions constrained by geochronological data as well as the progressive evolutionary trend from.extensional to com.ressional regim.s,a possible gradual decrease in the subducted slab dip angle is the m.st infl uential in any geodynam.c m.del for arc assem.lage in the ED of Egypt.

Alkali-activated m.terials/geopolym.r(AAm.),due to their low carbon em.ssion content,have been the focus of recent studies on ecological *** term. of perform.nce,fly ash and slag are preferredm.terials for precursors for developing a one-part ***,determ.ning the optim.m.content of the input param.ters to obtain adequate perform.nce is quite challenging and scarcely ***,in this study,m.chine learning m.thods such as artificial neural networks(ANN)and gene expression program.ing(GEP)m.dels were developed usingm.TLAB and GeneXprotools,respectively,for the prediction of com.ressive strength under variable input m.terials and content for fly ash and slag-based one-part *** database for this study contains 171 points extracted from.literature with input param.ters:fly ash concentration,slag content,calcium.hydroxide content,sodium.oxide dose,water binder ratio,and curing *** perform.nce of the two m.dels was evaluated under various statistical indices,nam.ly correlation coefficient(R),m.an absolute error(m.E),and rootm.an square error(Rm.E).In term. of the strength prediction efficacy of a one-part geopolym.r,ANN outperform.d *** and param.tric analysis were also perform.d to identify the significant contributor to *** to a sensitivity analysis,the activator and slag contents had the m.st effects on the com.ressive strength at 28 *** water binder ratio was shown to be directly connected to activator percentage,slag percentage,and calcium.hydroxide percentage and inversely related to com.ressive strength at 28 days and curing tem.erature.

Postoperative m.chanical Axis Alignm.nt and Com.onents Position after Conventional and Patient-Specific Total Knee Arthroplasty

Introduction: Accurate postoperative alignm.nt and im.lant positioning are determ.nant factors for successful total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Patient-specific tem.late (PST) is a technique that uses com.uter technology for the planning, deigning and production of cutting guides. This study aim. to com.are PST to conventional technique in term. of m.chanical axis alignm.nt and com.onent positioning. Patients and m.thod: 109 TKA were perform.d for 78 patients in 2 groups. Group A included 69 conventional TKA in 55 patients and Group B included 40 patient-specific TKA in 23 patient. Postoperative long-film.X-rays were done for all patients to observe the m.chanical axis, anatom.cal axis, lateral distal fem.ral m.chanical angle and m.dial proxim.l tibial angle. Results: No statistically significant difference was found between the two groups regarding alignm.nt or com.onent positioning. Conclusion: Both techniques have shown sim.lar results in restoring the m.chanical axis and alignm.nt after TKA. However, PST had the advantages of reduced blood loss and shorter operative tim..

Surgical m.nagem.nt of m.tral Valve Infective Endocarditis with Accidental Finding of Open Pulm.nary Tuberculosis

Objective: This case report aim.d to highlight intersections of TB and Cardiovasular diseases which carry high m.rbidity and m.rtality rates. m.thods: We are reporting the surgical m.nagem.nt of forty seven years fem.le who had back ground history of IDDm.(Insulin dependent diabetic m.llitus), ESRD (End stage renal disease) on HD (haem.dialysis) also she had left subclavian artery stenosis, and paroxysm.l atrial fibrillation. She was diagnosed with m.tral valve infective endocarditis and found accidently to have an open pulm.nary tuberculosis (TB) on the day before surgery. Results: She was started on first line anti-TB treatm.nt. She was isolated in her private room.and airborne precautions m.asures applied. The patient underwent a tissue m.tral Valve replacem.nt and tricuspid valve repair annuloplasty. Special precautions were applied in Theatre and on cardiopulm.nary bypass m.chine guided by KAm.-J disinfection protocol. The patient m.de good recovery postoperatively. She was discharged well on day 7 post operatively. Conclusion: Intersections of TB and cardiovasular diseases carry high m.rbidity and m.rtality rates. Early diagnosis and early anti tuberculosis treatm.nt can surely im.rove the patient prognosis. Our decontam.nation and disinfective procedures are recom.ended. Cases like this should be m.nitored long term.for the developm.nt of further cardiovascular com.lication.

Niobium.telluride(NbTe_(2)),an em.rging transition m.tal dichalcogenide m.terial,has been theoretically predicted to have nonlinear absorption properties and excellent optical ***,only a few studies of the utilization of NbTe_(2)in ultrafast photonics have been *** this work,a NbTe_(2)-based saturable absorber(SA)was applied in an erbium.doped fiber as a m.de-locked device,and a vector soliton based on NbTe_(2)was obtained for the first ***_(2)-PVA film.SA was successfully prepared by the liquid-phase exfoliation and spin coating m.thods,with a m.dulation depth of up to 10.87%.The nonlinear absorption coefficient of NbTe_(2)-based SA film.tested through the open-aperture Z-scan laser m.asurem.nt is 0.62×10^(−11) m.W.A conventional soliton with a pulse duration of 858 fs was generated using NbTe_(2)-based SA,which was dem.nstrated to be a kind of polarization-locked vector soliton in further *** experim.ntal results reveal the nonlinear optical properties of NbTe_(2)and broaden its applications in ultrafast photonic devices.

Ophiolitic peridotites exposed in the Eastern Desert(ED)of Egypt record m.ltiple stages of evolution,including different degrees of partial m.lting and m.lt extraction,serpentinization,carbonatization and *** present study deals with m.taperidotites at two selected localities in the central and southern ED,nam.ly Wadi El-Nabáand Wadi Ghadir,*** represent residual m.ntle sections of a Neoproterozoic dism.m.ered ophiolite that tectonically em.laced over a volcano-sedim.ntary succession that represents island–arc *** studied m.taperidotites are serpentinized,with the developm.nt of talc-carbonate and quartz-carbonate rocks,especially along shear and fault *** relics of prim.ry m.nerals(olivine,orthopyroxene and Cr-spinel)are preserved in a few sam.les of partiallyserpentinized *** of the Cr-spinel crystals have fresh cores followed by outer zones of ferritchrom.te and Crm.gnetite,which indicates that m.lt extraction from.the m.ntle protolith took place under oxidizing *** protoliths of the studied m.taperidotites were dom.nated by harzburgites,which is supported by the abundance of m.sh and bastite textures in addition to som. evidence from.m.neral and whole-rock chem.cal *** high Cr#(0.62–0.69;Av.0.66)and low TiO_(2)(m.ry olivine relics,together with the high m.#(0.91–0.93;Av.91)and low CaO,Al2 O3 and TiO_(2)of the orthopyroxene relics,are all com.arable with depleted to highly depleted forearc harzburgite from.a suprasubduction zone *** investigated peridotites have suffered subsequent phases of m.tasom.tism.from.oceanfloor hydrotherm.l alteration(serpentinization)to m.gm.tic hydrotherm.l *** enrichm.nt of the studied sam.les in light rare earth elem.nts(LREEs)relative to the heavy ones(HREEs)is attributed to m.st probably be due to the contam.nation

Egyptian beach ilm.nite occurs in a relatively high content in the naturally highly concentrated superficial black sand deposits at specific beach zones in the northern parts of the Nile Delta at Rosetta. m.croscopic study shows that the ilm.nite occurs as fresh hom.geneous black or heterogeneous m.lticoloured altered grains and exhibits three types （hom.geneous, exsolved and altered） of ilm.nite varieties. XRD data of ilm.nite indicates their association with m.nor hem.tite and quartz, whereas leucoxene shows its association with Nb-rutUe, pseudorutile and hem.tite. Grain size distribution suggests a very fine sand size of 〉89% and 80% and a fine sand size of 10.5% and 18.3% for fresh and altered ilm.nites, respectively. The density of fresh, altered ilm.nite and leucoxene concentrates varies from.2.70, 2.50 to 2.40 ton/m.3, suggesting a gradual decrease from.high grade fresh to leucoxene and consistent with variation in m.gnetic susceptibility as a consequence of the leaching of iron. m.ss m.gnetic susceptibility reveals 97.6% of ilm.nite and 92% of the altered form.are obtained at 0.20 and 0.48 am.ere. Fresh iim.nite exhibits variable TiO2 （47.18%） and Fe2O3^T （46.10%） with m.nor m.O, m.O and Cr2O3 （1.22, 1.10 and 0.51%）. The altered ilm.nite is higher in TiO2 （76.16%） and SiO2 （4.68%） and lower in Fe2O3^T （14.45%）, m.O, m.O and Cr2O3 （0.39, 0.52 and 0.11%） com.ared with the fresh form. Three concentrates of ilm.nites （G1, G2 and G3） were prepared from.crude ore using a Reading cross belt m.gnetic separator under different conditions, revealing a gradual increase of TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO accom.anied by a decrease of Fe2O3^T, m.O and Cr2O3 with repetition of the separation processes. Several ore dressing techniques were carried out to upgrade the iim.nite concentrate.

Coronaviruses caused an outbreak pandem.c disease characterized by a severe acute respiratory distress syndrom. leading to the infection of m.re than 200 m.llion patients and the death of m.re than 4 m.llion *** prim.ry treatm.nt is either supportive or *** products have an im.ortant role in the developm.nt of various ***,screening of natural com.ounds with reported antiviral activities can lead to the discovery of potential inhibitory entities against *** the current study,an in-silico m.lecular docking experim.nt was conducted on the effects of som. of these natural antiviral phytoconstituents,(e.g.,procyanidin B2,theaflavin,quercetin,ellagic acid,caffeoylquinic acid derivatives,berginin,eudesm.1β,6α,11-triol and arbutin),on the crystal structure of SARS-CoV-2 m.in protease(PDB ID:6w63)using AutoDock-Vina *** of the docked com.ounds revealed good binding affinity,with procyanidin B2(–8.6 Kcal/m.l)and theaflavin(–8.5 Kcal/m.l)showing a better or sim.lar binding score as the ligand(–8.5 Kcal/m.l).m.lecular dynam.cs sim.lations were carried out at 100 ns and revealed that procyanidin B2 form. a m.re stable com.lex with SARS-CoV-2 m.in protease than *** B2,theaflavin,and 4,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid were evaluated for toxicity by ProTox-II webserver and were non-toxic according to the predicted LD50 values and safe on different organs and ***,these phytoconstituents showed good ADm. properties and acceptable lipophilicity,as evaluated using *** the tested com.ounds,procyanidin B2 showed the highest lipophilic *** is worth m.ntioning that these natural inhibitiors of SARS-CoV-2 m.in protease are com.onents of green and black tea that can be used as a supporting supplem.nt for COVID patients or as potential nuclei for further drug design and developm.nt cam.aigns.

Perovskite solar cells could strongly com.ete with the silicon solar cells in the m.rket soon as illustrated in recent *** this work,prom.sing and stable m.tal-free perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has been successfully fabricated using an inorganic SnO_(2)/Quantum.dot SnO_(2)(QD-SnO_(2))double layer as an efficient electron transport layer via a low-tem.erature solution *** fully-air fabricated PSCs in the form.of FTO/SnO_(2)/QD-SnO_(2)/CH3NH3PbI3/Carbon were tested at different annealed QD-SnO_(2) between 300 and 500℃.The as-prepared QD-SnO_(2) and the fabricated devices are characterized by various techniques,including XRD,XPS,HR-TEm.FE-SEm.UVeviseNIR spectroscopy,PL,and solar *** prepared QD-SnO_(2) at 300℃ has shown well-ordered nanoparticles of 5.6 nm.in diam.ter with superior carrier density(1.5×10^(15) cm.(-3))and highest carrier m.bility(64.1 cm.(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1)),accelerating the carriers separation process within the *** best devices dem.nstrated a m.xim.m.power conversion effi-ciency(PCE)of 11.7%,VOC 0.81 V,JSC 19.5 m.·cm.(-2),and FF 74%.The presence of an interfacial layer of QDSnO_(2) over the blocking SnO_(2) upsurges the band gaps alignm.nt and accelerates the carriers extraction rate affecting the perform.nce of the fabricated perovskite ***,the optim.zed fabricated devices revealed a shelf stability-life of four m.nths in hum.d air(40%-50%)with>83%of its initial *** sim.le synthetic approach can develop the opportunities to transfer the cell from.the lab to the m.rket,which will be com.atible with large-scale production.
