Antimicrobial activity of metal-substituted cobalt ferrite nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel technique

Metal-substituted cobalt ferrites [MxCo(1-x)Fe2O4(M=Zn,Cu,Mn;x=0.0,0.25,0.5,and 0.75)]were synthesized via a sol-gel *** ferrite structures were confirmed by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,surface analysis using the Brunauer-emmett-Teller method,and energy-dispersive X-ray *** activity of these ferrites against selected pathogenic microbes was *** structures remained cubic spinel phases after substitution of *** strongly influenced the microstructure and homoge- neous grain *** particle size of the ferrites increased linearly with increase in their annealing *** surface area of zinc cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (ZCFO)was 52.56m^2/g,the average pore size was 1.84nm,and pore volume was 0.136mL/*** ferrites showed antimicrobial activity toward all pathogens *** these,the most powerful was ZCFO,showing zones of inhibition of 13.0mm against Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus and 12.0mm against Candida ***-irradiated ZCFO nanoparticles (150.0kGy)maintained higher antimicrobial activity than non-irradiated particles,e.g. being active toward *** (16.0mm).ZCFO is proposed as a candidate material for industrial and biomedical purposes.

Fuel cell stack design and modelling with a double-stage boost converter coupled to a single-phase inverter

A comprehensive proton-exchange membrane fuel cell stack model was developed and integrated with a two-stage DC/DC boost *** was directly coupled to a single-phase(two levels-four pulses)inverter without a *** pulse-width modu-lation signal was used to independently regulate every converter *** converter was modelled using a MATLAB®/Simulink®environment and an appropriate voltage control *** analysis features of the suggested circuit were created and,through established experiments,the simulation results were verified.A single-phase(two levels-four pulses)inverter control circuit was tested and it produced a pure sinusoidal waveform with voltage *** matches the voltage of the network in terms of amplitude and frequency.A sinusoidal pulse-width modulation approach was performed using a single-phase(two levels-four pulses)pulse-width modulation *** results demonstrated an enhancement in the standard of the output wave and tuned the dead time with a reduction of 63μs compared with 180μs in conventional techniques.

Study of scalar particles through the Klein–Gordon equation under rainbow gravity effects in Bonnor–Melvin-Lambda space-time

in our investigation,we explore the quantum dynamics of charge-free scalar particles through the Klein–Gordon equation within the framework of rainbow gravity,considering the Bonnor–Melvin-Lambda(BML)space-time *** BML solution is characterized by the magnetic field strength along the axis of the symmetry direction which is related to the cosmological constantΛand the topological parameterαof the *** behavior of charge-free scalar particles described by the Klein–Gordon equation is investigated,utilizing two sets of rainbow functions:(i)f(χ)=■,h(χ)=1 and(ii)f(χ)=1,h(χ)=1+βХ/*** 01 with e representing the particle's energy,ep is the Planck's energy,andβis the rainbow *** obtain the approximate analytical solutions for the scalar particles and conduct a thorough analysis of the obtained ***,we study the quantum dynamics of quantum oscillator fields within this BML space-time,employing the Klein–Gordon *** also,we choose the same sets of rainbow functions and obtain the approximate eigenvalue solution for the oscillator ***,we demonstrate that the relativistic approximate energy profiles of charge-free scalar particles and oscillator fields get influenced by the topology of the geometry and the cosmological ***,we show that the energy profiles of scalar particles receive modifications from the rainbow parameter and the quantum oscillator fields by both the rainbow parameter and the frequency of oscillation.

The conversion of the cartesian coordinates of a point to its geodetic equivalent coordinates in reference to the geodetic ellipsoid is one of the main challenges in *** ellipse equation in the meridian plane significantly influences the value of the geodetic *** research analyzes this influence and how it can contribute to their *** study investigates the mathematical relation between them and presents an exact formula relating to the geodetic height and the ellipse *** addition,a heuristic formula for the relation between the geodetic height and the ellipse equation is proposed,which is independent of the geodetic latitude and has a relative accuracy better than 99.9 %.The calculation is stable,and the cost is low.

engineering nanomedicines for immunogenic eradication of cancer cells:Recent trends and synergistic approaches

Resistance to cancer immunotherapy is mainly attributed to poor tumor immunogenicity as well as the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(TMe)leading to failure of immune *** therapeutic strategies including chemotherapy,radiotherapy,photodynamic,photothermal,magnetic,chemodynamic,sonodynamic and oncolytic therapy,have been developed to induce immunogenic cell death(iCD)of cancer cells and thereby elicit immunogenicity and boost the antitumor immune ***,many challenges hamper the clinical application of iCD inducers resulting in modest immunogenic ***,we outline the current state of using nanomedicines for boosting iCD of cancer ***,synergistic approaches used in combination with iCD inducing nanomedicines for remodeling the TMe via targeting immune checkpoints,phagocytosis,macrophage polarization,tumor hypoxia,autophagy and stromal modulation to enhance immunogenicity of dying cancer cells were *** further highlight the emerging trends of using nanomaterials for triggering amplified iCD-mediated antitumor immune *** reticulum localized iCD,focused ultrasound hyperthermia,cell membrane camouflaged nanomedicines,amplified reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,metallo-immunotherapy,ion modulators and engineered bacteria are among the most innovative *** challenges,merits and demerits of iCD inducer nanomedicines were also discussed with shedding light on the future role of this technology in improving the outcomes of cancer immunotherapy.

Phytochemical analysis,antioxidant,acetylcholinesterase,andα-amylase inhibitors from Hippeastrum hybridum extract

OBJeCTiVe:To investigate the effects of Hippeastrum hybridum(HH)as a free radical scavenger,and an inhibitor of the two enzymes i-e Alpha-amylase(α-amylase)and acetylcholinesterase(AChe).MeTHODS:in this study,HH plant was preliminary analyzed for phytochemical screening and then tested for its antioxidant,anti-α-amylase,and anti-AChe efficiency via standard ***:Phytochemical analysis shows the existence of different compounds;while Coumarins and quinones were *** total phenolic,flavonoid,and tannins content were found to be(78.52±0.69)mg GAe/g,(2.01±0.04)mg RUe/g,and(58.12±0.23)mg TAe/g of plant extract respectively.28.02%±0.02%alkaloid and 2.02%±0.05%saponins were present in the HH *** HH extract showed the anti-oxidant property with iC50(50%inhibition)of(151.01±0.13)(HH),(79.01±0.04)(Ascorbic acid)for ferric reducing,(91.48±0.13)(HH),(48.02±0.11)(Ascorbic acid)against Ammonium molybdenum,(156.02±0.31)(HH),(52.38±0.21)(Ascorbic acid)against DPPH,136.01±0.21(HH),52.02±0.31(Ascorbic acid)against H_(2)O_(2),and 154.12±0.03(HH),(40.05±0.15)(Ascorbic acid)μg/mL against ABTS *** analysis indicated that HH caused a competitive type of inhibition ofα-amylase(V_(max)remained constant and Km increases from 10.65 to84.37%)while Glucophage caused the un-competitive type of inhibition i-e both Km and V_(max)decreased from40.49 to 69.15%and 38.86 to 69.61%*** K_(i),(inhibition constant);K_(i),(dissociation constant),K_(m),(Michaelis-Menten constant),and iC50 were found to be62,364,68.1,and 38.08±0.22 for HH and 12,101.05,195,34.01±0.21 for ***,HH causes an anon-competitive type of inhibition of AChe i-e Km remains constant while V_(max)decreases from 60.5%to74.1%.The calculated K_(i),K_(i),K_(m),and iC50 were found to be 32,36.2,0.05,and 18.117±***:From the current results,it is concluded that HH extract contains bioactive compounds,and could be a good alternative to controlling oxidant

An autonomous microgrid that runs on renewable energy sources is presented in this *** has a supercon-ducting magnetic energy storage(SMeS)device,wind energy-producing devices,and an energy storage ***,because such microgrids are nonlinear and the energy they create varies with time,controlling and managing the energy inside them is a difficult ***-order proportional integral(FOPi)controller is recommended for the current research to enhance a standalone microgrid’s energy management and *** suggested dedicated control for the SMeS comprises two loops:the outer loop,which uses the FOPi to regulate the DC-link voltage,and the inner loop,responsible for regulating the SMeS current,is constructed using the intelligent FOPi(iFOPi).The FOPi+iFOPi parameters are best developed using the dandelion optimizer(DO)approach to achieve the optimum *** suggested FOPi+iFOPi controller’s performance is contrasted with a conventional Pi controller for variations in wind speed and microgrid *** optimal FOPi+iFOPi controller manages the voltage and frequency of the *** behavior of the microgrid as a reaction to step changes in load and wind speed was measured using the proposed *** simulations were used to evaluate the recommended system’s *** results of the simulations showed that throughout all interruptions,the recommended microgrid provided the load with AC power with a constant amplitude and *** addition,the required load demand was accurately ***,the microgrid functioned incredibly well despite SMeS and varying wind *** obtained under identical conditions were compared with and without the best FOPi+iFOPi *** utilizing the optimal FOPi+iFOPi controller with SMeS,it was found that the microgrid performed better than the microgrid without SMeS.

To meet the rapidly increasing demand for energy and the dramatic depletion of conventional crude oil,it is imperative to utilize sour *** no coke being produced,oxidative desulfurization(ODS)of naphtha lowers its sulfur content and average molecular *** this article,we outline a method for heavy naphtha non-extractive ODS using a very stable *** technique involves the use of a solid catalyst with oxygen gas as the *** necessitated relatively high mixing intensities;hence a three-phase Oscillatory Baffled Reactor(OBR)was *** catalyst was based on the zeolite ZSM-5,prepared from natural kaolin by a series of delamination and activation steps and impregnated with Fe.A TiO2 nanolayer was applied,using the sol-gel method,to prevent rapid *** reactor performance was evaluated to minimize the sulfur content in the naphtha *** to the protective coating,the sulfur conversion stabilized at 90%.The results of this work establish the use of natural clay-based catalysts in a continuous,three-phase ODS,particularly with regard to proving long-term *** also showed that modest ODS can be achieved using an environmentally friendly oxidant,at mild operating conditions,whilst maintaining stability.

Higgs inflation model with non-minimal coupling in hybrid Palatini approach

in this paper,we propose a hybrid metric Palatini approach in which the Palatini scalar curvature is non minimally coupled to the scalar *** derive einstein’s field equations,i.e.,the equations of motion of the scalar ***,the background and perturbative parameters are obtained by means of Friedmann equations in the slow roll *** analysis of cosmological perturbations allowed us to obtain the main inflationary parameters,e.g.,the scalar spectral index and tensor to scalar ratio *** this perspective,as an application of our analysis,we consider the Higgs field with quartic potential,which plays the inflaton role,and show that predictions of Higgs hybrid inflation are in good agreement with recent observational data[***.641,61(2020)].
