Plants have to cope with several abiotic stresses,including salinity and heavymetals(hMs).Under these stresses,several extracts have been used as effective natural biostimulants,however,the use of Spirulina platensis(SP)extract(SPE)remains *** effects of SPE were evaluated as soil addition(SA)and/or foliar spraying(FS)on antioxidant defenses and hMs content of common bean grown in saline soil contaminated with ***(40 or 80 mg SPE/hill added as SA or 20 or 40 mg SPE/plant added as FS)or integrative(SA+FS)applications of SPE showed significant improvements in the following order:SA-80+FS-40>SA-80+FS-20>SA-40+FS-40>SA-40+FS-20>SA-80>SA-40>FS-40>FS-20>***,the integrative SA+FS with 40 mg SP/plant was the most effective treatment in increasing plant growth and production,overcoming stress effects and minimizing contamination of the edible *** significantly increased plant growth(74%–185%)and yield(107%–227%)by enhancing net photosynthetic rate(78.5%),stomatal conductance(104%),transpiration rate(124%),and contents of carotenoids(60.0%),chlorophylls(49%–51%),and NPK(271%–366%).These results were concurrent with the marked reductions in malondialdehyde(61.6%),hydrogen peroxide(42.2%),nickel(91%–94%),lead(80%–9%),and cadmium(74%–91%)contents due to the improved contents of glutathione(87.1%),ascorbate(37.0%),andα-tocopherol(77.2%),and the activities of catalase(18.1%),ascorbate peroxidase(18.3%),superoxide dismutase(192%),and glutathione reductase(52.2%)as reinforcing ***,this most effective treatment is recommended to mitigate the stress effects of salinity and hMs on common bean production while minimizing hMs in the edible part.

Enhancing asphaltene precipitation modeling by cubic-PR solid model using thermodynamic correlations and averaging techniques

Cubic equation-of-state solid models are one of the most widely used models to predict asphaltene precipitation *** parameters are needed to model precipitation under different pressures and temperatures and are usually obtained through tuning with multi asphaltene onset *** the purpose of enhancing the cubic Peng–Robinson solid model and reducing its dependency on asphaltene experiments,this paper tests the use of aromatics and waxes correlations to obtain these thermodynamic *** addition,weighted averages between both correlations are *** averaging is based on reported saturates,aromatics,resins,asphaltene(SARA)fractions,and wax *** the methods are tested on four oil samples,with previously published data,covering precipitation and onset *** proposed wax-asphaltene average showed the best match with experimental data,followed by a SARA-weighted *** new addition enhances the model predictability and agrees with the general molecular structure of asphaltene molecules.

Optimization Task Scheduling Using Cooperation Search Algorithm for heterogeneous Cloud Computing Systems

Cloud computing has taken over the high-performance distributed computing area,and it currently provides on-demand services and resource polling over the *** a result of constantly changing user service demand,the task scheduling problem has emerged as a critical analytical topic in cloud *** primary goal of scheduling tasks is to distribute tasks to available processors to construct the shortest possible schedule without breaching precedence *** and schedules of tasks substantially influence system operation in a heterogeneous multiprocessor *** diverse processes inside the heuristic-based task scheduling method will result in varying makespan in the heterogeneous computing *** a result,an intelligent scheduling algorithm should efficiently determine the priority of every subtask based on the resources necessary to lower the *** research introduced a novel efficient scheduling task method in cloud computing systems based on the cooperation search algorithm to tackle an essential task and schedule a heterogeneous cloud computing *** basic idea of thismethod is to use the advantages of meta-heuristic algorithms to get the optimal *** assess our algorithm’s performance by running it through three scenarios with varying numbers of *** findings demonstrate that the suggested technique beats existingmethods NewGenetic Algorithm(NGA),Genetic Algorithm(GA),Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Gravitational Search Algorithm(GSA),and hybrid heuristic and Genetic(hhG)by 7.9%,2.1%,8.8%,7.7%,3.4%respectively according to makespan.

This paper addresses the manipulation of structural,morphology,optical and magnetic properties of LiCo0.25Zn0.25Fe2 O4 ferrite via incorporation of different proportions of La^3+at the expense of iron ions using a sol-gel *** samples were characterized using the X-ray diffraction technique(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,the energy dispersive X-ray spectra(EDX),inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy(ICP-OES),high resolution scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area analysis,ultraviolet-diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-DRS),and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)*** Rietveld refinements of the samples indicate that at higher concentrations of La^3+,nanostructures with dual phase,*** spinel and orthorhombic LaFeO3 perovskite with space group(Pbnm)*** studies show that the energy band gap(Eg)of the bare LiCo0.25Zn0.25Fe2 O4 ferrite sample(2.18 eV)reaches up to 2.47 eV at x=0.06 and above this concentration,it drops sharply to 2.00 *** the saturation magnetization and the coercivity of LiCo0.25Zn0.25LaxFe2-xO4 are lower than that of LiCo0.25Zn0.25Fe2 O4 ***,the superparamagnetic nature and low values of saturation magnetization and coercivity of LiCo0.25Zn0.25LaxFe2-xO4 NPs are suitable to be applied in transformers core.

Skin wounds can lead to numerous complications with dangerous health *** this work,magnetite nanoparticles were doped with different concentrations of antimicrobial silver(Ag)ions and incorporated into the electrospun nanofibrous ε-polycaprolactone(PCL)*** and scaffolds with various Ag contents were characterized using a range of physicochemical *** entered magnetite as cations and preferentially positioned at tetrahedral sites,introducing lattice distortions and topographic *** of the structure due to accommodation of Ag expanded the lattice in the bulk and contracted it on the surface,where broadened distribution of Fe-O coordinations was *** spin canting and diminishing the double exchange interaction through altered distribution of ferric and ferrous ions,Ag softened the magnetism of *** making the nanoparticle structure more defective,Ag modified the interface with the polymer and promoted the protrusion of the nanoparticles from the surface of the polymeric nanofibers,thus increasing their roughness and hydrophilicity,with positive repercussions on cell adhesion and *** the viability of human melanocytes and the antibacterial activity against *** and *** increased with the concentration of Ag in the magnetite phase of the *** wound healing rate in rats also increased in direct proportion with the concentration of Ag in the magnetite phase,and no abnormalities in the dermal and epidermal tissues were visible on day 10 in the treatment *** results imply an excellent potential of these composite nanofibrous scaffolds for use as wound dressings and in other reconstructive skin therapies.

Aging Effects of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on Phosphorus Fractionation in a Calcareous Sandy Loam Soil

In most arid and semiarid soils, naturally occurring phosphorus(P) is a major yield-limiting plant nutrient. In this study, to investigate the effects of organic(OP) and inorganic P(IP) sources on P fractionation, a calcareous sandy loam alkaline soil was fertilized with OP and IP fertilizers at low(80 mg P kg^(-1) soil) and high(160 mg P kg^(-1) soil) application rates. Three combinations of OP and IP(i.e., 75% OP + 25% IP, 50% OP + 50% IP, and 25% OP + 75% IP) were applied at low and high application rates,respectively, followed by soil aging for 21 d. Soil samples were collected after 1, 2, 3, 7, and 21 d and subjected to sequential extraction to analyze soluble and exchangeable, Fe-and Al-bound, Ca-bound, and residual P fractions. The soluble and exchangeable P fraction significantly increased up to 24.3%, whereas the Ca-bound fraction decreased up to 40.7% in the soils receiving 75% OP + 25% IP and 50% OP + 50% IP, respectively, compared with the control(receiving no P fertilizer). however, the transformation of P fractions was influenced by aging time. Addition of P sources caused instant changes in different P fractions, which then tended to decline with aging time. Change in soil p h was the limiting factor in controlling P availability. At high application rate, the OP source significantly increased soil P availability compared with the IP source with soil aging. Depending on P fractionation, a proper combination of OP and IP fertilizers, as long-term slow and instant P-releasing sources for plant uptake, respectively, may be a sustainable strategy to meet crop P requirements in the arid and semiarid soils.

Immunotherapy becomes a promising line of treatment for breast cancer(BC)however,its success rate is still ***:The study was designed to optimize the condition for producing an effective dendritic cell(DCs)based immunotherapy by using DCs and T lymphocytes together with tumor-inﬁltrating lymphocytes(TILs)and tumor-inﬁltrating DCs(TIDCs),treated with anti-PD1 and anti-CTLA4 monoclonal *** mixture of immune cells was co-cultured with autologous breast cancer cells(BCCs)isolated from 26 BC ***:There was a signiﬁcant upregulation of CD86 and CD83 on DCs(p=0.001 and 0.017,respectively),similarly upregulation of CD8,CD4 and CD103 on T cells(p=0.031,0.027,and 0.011,respectively).While there was a signiﬁcant downregulation of FOXP3 and combined ***8 expression on regulatory T cells(p=0.014 for both).Increased CD8/Foxp3 ratio(pely).There was a signiﬁcant increase in interferon-γ(IFN-γ,phydrogenase(LDh,p=0.02),and a signiﬁcant decrease in vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF,pell death ligand 1(PDL-1)were downregulated in BCCs(ph),similarly cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA4,p=0.02),Programmed cell death 1(PD-1,pells(DCs,T cells,TIDCs,and TILs)with immune checkpoint inhibitors could produce a potent and effective BC ***,these data should be validated on an experimental animal model to be transferred to the clinical setting.

Processing biomaterials into porous scaffolds for bone tissueengineering is a critical and a key step in defining and controlling their physicochemical,mechanical,and biological *** such as polymers are commonlyprocessed into porous scaffolds using conventional processing techniques,e.g.,***,these traditional techniques have shown unavoidable limitations andseveral *** instance,tissue-engineered porous scaffolds with a complexthree-dimensional(3D)geometric architecture mimicking the complexity of theextracellular matrix of native tissues and with the ability to fit into irregular tissue defectscannot be produced using the conventional processing techniques.3D printing hasrecently emerged as an advanced processing technology that enables the processing ofbiomaterials into 3D porous scaffolds with highly complex architectures and tunableshapes to precisely fit into irregular and complex tissue defects.3D printing providescomputer-based layer-by-layer additive manufacturing processes of highly precise andcomplex 3D structures with well-defined porosity and controlled mechanical propertiesin a highly reproducible ***,3D printing technology provides anaccurate patient-specific tissue defect model and enables the fabrication of a patientspecifictissue-engineered porous scaffold with pre-customized properties.

Sol-gel synthesis,properties and protein loading/delivery capacity of hollow bioactive glass nanospheres with large hollow cavity and mesoporous shell

hollow nanospheres exhibit unique properties and find a wide interest in several potential applications such as drug ***,novel hollow bioactive glass nanospheres(hBGn)with large hollow cavity and large mesopores in their outer shells were synthesized by a simple and facile one-pot ultrasound assisted sol-gel method using PEG as the core ***,the produced hBGn exhibited large hollow cavity with ~43 nm in diameter and mesoporous shell of ~37 nm in thickness and 7 nm pore size along with nanosphere size around 117 *** confirmed the presence of Si and Ca elements at the surface of the hBGn outer ***,hBGn showed high protein loading capacity(~570 mg of Cyto c per 1 g of hBGn)in addition to controlled protein release over 5 *** also demonstrated a good in vitro capability of releasing calcium(Ca^(2+):170 ppm)and silicate(SiO_(4)^(4-):78 ppm)ions in an aqueous medium over 2 weeks under physiological-like *** in vitro growth of bone-like hydroxyapatite nanocrystals was exhibited by hBGn during the soaking in SBF.A possible underlying mechanism involving the formation of spherical aggregates(coils)of PEG was proposed for the formation process of hBGn.

Nanosecond pulse and dual-wavelength Q-switched 1.5 μm fiber laser using MAX phase Cr2TiAlC2 saturable absorber

We demonstrated a new type of MAX phase material, chromium titanium aluminum carbide（Cr2TiAlC2） polymer film, to generate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser（EDFL）. The film thickness was measured to be around 45 μm, which was fabricated using the embedding method with polyvinyl alcohol（PVA） polymer as hoster. The saturable absorber（SA） film demonstrates a dual-wavelength passively Q-switched EDFL which operates at 1 531 nm and 1 560.19 nm, respectively. The Q-switching pulse duration could be varied from 2.46 μs to 770 ns, while the repetition rate varied from 92.76 khz to 106.6 khz with an increasing input pumping range from 154 mW to 300 mW. The maximum output power and pulse energy of 15.05 mW and 141.18 nJ were obtained at the maximum input power of 300 mW, respectively.
