Development of donor specific antibodies after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination:What do we know so far?

Vaccination against Coronavirus disease-19(COVID-19)was pivotal to limit spread,morbidity and *** aim is to find out whether vaccines against COVID-19 lead to an immunological response stimulating the production of de novo donor specific antibodies(DSAs)or increase in mean fluorescence intensity(MFI)of pre-existing DSAs in kidney transplant recipients(KTRs).This study involved a detailed literature search through December 2nd,2023 using PubMed as the primary *** search strategy incorporated a combination of relevant Medical Subject Headings terms and keywords:"COVID-19","SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination","Kidney,Renal Transplant",and"Donor specific antibodies".The results from related studies were collated and analyzed.A total of 6 studies were identified,encompassing 460 KTRs vaccinated against *** responses were detected in 8 KTRs of which 5 had increased MFIs,1 had de novo DSA,and 2 were categorized as either having de novo DSA or increased *** were 48 KTRs with pre-existing DSAs prior to vaccination,but one study(Massa et al)did not report whether pre-existing DSAs were associated with post vaccination *** the remaining 5 studies,35 KTRs with pre-existing DSAs were identified of which 7 KTRs(20%)developed de novo DSAs or increased ***,no immunological response was detected in 452(98.3%)*** study affirms prior reports that COVID-19 vaccination is safe for KTRs,especially if there are no pre-existing ***,if KTRs have pre-existing DSAs,then an increased immunological risk may be *** findings need to be taken cautiously as they are based on a limited number of patients so further studies are still needed for confirmation.

Ever since the severe acute respiratory syndrome virus causing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)struck the world,global health strategies have changed *** to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,kidney transplant recipients are stratified as being high risk of developing fatal illness from COVID-19 *** transplant is the gold-standard treatment for end-stage kidney disease *** the pandemic,significant concerns have emerged regarding continuation of kidney transplant surgeries and management of kidney transplant recipients *** added risk of immunosuppression in this cohort was and remains a theoretical concern,posing a potential risk of transplantation rather than *** comprehensive review aims to cover most of the faced challenges in kidney transplantation in different stages of the *** addition,it will elucidate the epidemiology,nature,course of the disease,surgical consideration in donors and recipients as well as role of immunosuppression and management of COVID-19 infected kidney transplant recipients during these extraordinary circumstances.

Over the past few decades,the shortage in the kidney donor pool as compared to the increasing number of candidates on the kidney transplant waitlist led to loosening of kidney donors’acceptance *** and obesity represent risk factors for chronic kidney disease,both in native kidneys and those in kidney transplant *** great progress has been made in kidney transplantation from living donors to benefit the recipient survival and quality of life,progress has been slow to fully risk-characterize the *** review critically reassesses the current state of understanding regarding the risk of endstage kidney disease in those donors with obesity,hypertension or *** risk assessment tools need to be developed urgently to fully understand the risk glomerular filtration rate compensation failure in the remaining kidney of the donors.

目的:对摩洛哥孕产妇及新生儿情况进行汇总,并分析相关因素。方法:对2001-2011年摩洛哥沙温省出生人数、分娩方式、孕产妇死亡率、新生儿死亡率等指标进行汇总,并分别与我国沿海发达地区及边远贫困地区进行类比分析。结果:沙温省医院孕产妇死亡率、新生儿死亡率及剖宫产率高于我国沿海发达地区,低于边远贫困地区(P<0.05)。结论:加强国家财政支持和技术支持,重点放在边远贫困地区,消除差距,切实保障边远少数民族地区孕产妇分娩安全,是降低孕产妇死亡率的关键。

Air Flow Prediction and Evaluation of Ventilation Effectiveness with Different Zonal Configurations

This paper proposes a numerical method for the study of ventilation efficiency in buildings. The developed model is validated with the experimental results of Nielsen who tested the isothermal flow in a scaled model of a ventilated room. A zonal method is used to predict airflow patterns in the same ventilated room. The different equations governing the flow in the room were coded in Matlab for different operating conditions, different zonal configurations of the room and different number of cells (control volumes). The efficiency of the ventilation was determined by calculating the number of ACH (air changes per hour) for each cell. The present results show the importance of the inlet air flow rate, the space resolution and the jet inlet dimensions on the determination of air quality.
