Assessment of spatial and seasonal water quality variation of Oum Er Rbia River(Morocco)using multivariate statistical techniques

The aim of this study is to assess the spatial and temporal water quality variation and to determine the main contamination sources in the Oum Er Rbia River and its main tributary,El Abid *** water quality data were collected during 2000-2012 from fourteen sampling stations distributed along the *** water quality indicators used were TEMP,pH,EC,turbidity,TSS,DO,NH_(4)^(+),NH_(3)^(-),TP,BOD5,COD and *** water quality data was analyzed using multivariate statistical methods including Pearson's correlation,PCA,and *** results showed that in some stations the water quality parameters were over Moroccan water *** applied to compare the compositional patterns among the analyzed water samples,identified and four factors accounting for almost 63% of the total variation in the *** suggests that the variations in water compounds’concentration are mainly related to point source contamination(domestic and industrial wastewater),non-point source contamination(agriculture activities),as well as natural processes(weathering of soil and rock).CA showed relatively spatial and seasonal changes in surface water quality,which are usually indicators of contamination with rainfalls or other ***,this study showed that the water was potentially hazardous to health of the consumers and highlighted the need to treat industrial and municipal wastewater and to encourage sustainable agricultural practices to prevent adverse health *** therefore suggest wise management of anthropogenic activities in the catchment of Oum Er Bia River and their tributaries.

本文提出了一种改善旋转机械气动噪声的方法,这是目前研究旋转机械气动噪声的基本需求和关键设计驱动力,以满足现有和未来的噪声规范要求。风扇是将马达的能量转换成流体压力使流体运动的部件。高气动效率和低噪声是风机设计的重要技术指标之一。本文的主要研究内容如下:(1)利用Solid Works软件进行几何设计,利用Ansys Fluent软件建立了用于预测叶片风机装置噪声的计算流体动力学(CFD)数值模型,实现了轴流风机的气动声学性能的预测与分析。利用Ffowcs-Williams和Hawkings(FW-H)模型对远场观测点进行了噪声排放计算。(2)建立了原轴流风机的有限元模型,并与实验结果进行了比较,验证了数值模型的有效性和可靠性。采用不同翼型参数对原风机进行了优化设计,采用正交优化方法改善了原风机的气动性能。研究了导流锥结构对气动性能的影响,结果表明,当导流锥被拆下时,气动性能明显降低。(3)此外,还对9个不同结构参数的模型进行了评估,并与实验风扇数据进行了比较,以探讨在不同的锯齿比、不同的幅值(h)和展向(λ)波长范围内,采用锯齿后缘法进行处理的有效性。结果表明,与锯齿形模型相比,原模型获得了较大的逆流涡。值得注意的是,模型参数λ/h=0.25和λ/h=1能有效地降低锯齿边缘的噪声,分别降低了14d B和4.2d B。此外,在相同的齿形比下,采用不同的λ和h值,可以达到11.4 d B的降噪效果。

Radiation Induced Grafting of Viscose Rayon Fabrics with Some Acrylic Acid Derivatives and Styrene

Radiation induced grafting of viscose rayon fabrics, consisting mainly of cellulose fibers, with some acrylic acid derivatives, namely methyl acrylate, acrylamide and acrylonitrile, and also styrene, has been studied. The resultant graft yields have been determined as a function of the applied different experimental parameters. The impact of the graft yields on the physicochemical properties of viscose rayon fabrics such as swelling, moisture absorption, tensile strength, elongation at break, crease recovery angle and also dyeing ability of the grafted fabrics, has been also studied.

灵芝是一种大型的真菌,因为其可以产生许多具有药理活性的化合物,因此具有较高的药用价值。通常,灵芝的生长发育过程中经常遭受到镉胁迫的危害,导致减产和污染。因此,建立一种绿色无污染的增强灵芝耐镉能力的实践方法以及解析相关的机理一直是灵芝相关研究的热点。氢气（Hydrogen gas,H）作为一种无色无味无毒的气体,已经被很多实验证明室一种生物活性分子。例如,采用富氢水的实验发现,氢气可能与一氧化氮一样,可以作为一种新的气体信号分子参与调节灵芝的多种生理反应,包括提高耐镉性,但是尚不清楚其相关的分子机制;此外,以喷洒富氢水也难以广泛作为灵芝的栽培条件。针对上述问题,本试验采用氢气熏蒸的方式,采用药理学和分子生物学的方法研究了氢气缓解镉胁迫对灵芝生长抑制的分子机理。具体试验内容如下:1.50%饱和度的富氢水和3%（体积比）的H熏蒸均可以显著缓解镉胁迫对灵芝生长的抑制,具体表现为比单独镉胁迫处理具有更大的菌丝直径、更重的干生物量、更强的抗氧化能力和更少的镉积累,且3%的H熏蒸的缓解效果显著好于50%饱和度的富氢水;2.镉胁迫对灵芝生长的抑制的同时还伴随着一氧化氮（Nitric oxide,NO）含量的上升,H熏蒸处理可以进一步显著增强镉胁迫下NO的含量。采用NO清除剂cPTIO和硝酸还原酶抑制剂tungstate处理可以逆转H熏蒸诱导的NO含量上述以及上述H的生物学效应,提示硝酸还原酶介导的NO可能参与氢气缓解镉胁迫对灵芝生长的抑制;3.H熏蒸、cPTIO和tungstate的单独和组合处理下抗氧化能力、脯氨酸和镉含量的检测结果表明,H缓解镉对菌丝生长直径和生物量干重的抑制、降低镉的积累、促进脯氨酸的增加、降低活性氧（ROS）含量、降低TBARS含量、促进抗氧化酶活及基因的表达均被cPTIO或tungstate处理逆转,进一步提示NO信号的介导效应;上述结果表明硝酸还原酶介导的NO可能是氢气提高灵芝耐镉性的下游信号,其机理包括提高灵芝的抗氧化能力和降低镉的吸收等。上述结果不仅尝试解析氢气缓解镉胁迫抑制灵芝生长的分子机理,同时也为相关的农业实践提供了新思路。

Simple and Efficient Synthesis of Novel Glycosyl Thiourea Derivatives Derived from Thiophene as Potential Antitumor Agents

The practical synthesis of pseudonucleosides incorporating thiourea derivative by coupling of monosaccharides （D-glucose and D-galactose） per-O-acetylated glycosyl isothiocyanates and different heterocyclic hydrazide derivatives is reported. The method involves the preparation ofper-O-acetylated glycosyl isothiocyanates from per-O-acetylated sugars （two-step synthesis）, which couple with heterocyclic hydrazides from amines to give thiourea-linked pseudonucleosides. All newly synthesized pseudo-nucleosides were assayed against human lung cancer-cell lines （PG） and human liver cancer-cell lines （BEL-7402） in vitro. The 6,6-dimethyl-benzothiophen-3-carbo-hydrazide-4-one pseudonucleosides showed moderate inhibition against these two cancer-cell lines with ECs0 from 22.8 to 76.4 mM and from 54.9 to 82.4 mM, respectively. And the other compounds did not demonstrate any significant cytotoxicity even at concentrations up to 200 mM.

Synthesis of Novel Series of Benzothieno [2,3-d] Pyrimidine Derivatives, Promising Anticancer Agents

An extension of the authors＇ previous discovery of in vitro antitumor activity of substituted thino [2,3-d] prymidine derivatives is reported. The synthesis of some new spirothino [2,3-d] prymidine （4a-f）, imidazolidin, substituted prymidinyl and substituted thiazolidine thino [2,3-d] prymidine derivatives have been described. Thirteen of the obtained compounds were selected by the NCI and evaluated for their in vitro anticancer activity. Seven of the investigated compounds, 4a, 8a, 9a, （12a, b）, 14a and 15a, displayed high anticancer activity in the primary assay. These compounds have been selected for a full anticancer screening against a 60-cell panel assay where they showed non-selective broad spectrum and promising activity against all cancer cell lines. Compounds 12a and 12b proved to be the active members in this study compared to 5-fluorouracil and cyclophosphamide as reference drugs, respectively. Compounds 12a and 12b were identified as promising lead compounds, evaluated for their in-vitro antitumor activity.

BACKGROUND Tourniquets are commonly used in elective extremity orthopaedic surgery to reduce blood loss,improve visualization in the surgical field,and to potentially reduce surgical *** is a lack of consensus in existing guidelines regarding the optimal tourniquet pressure,placement site,and duration of *** is a paucity of data on the relationship between the site of a tourniquet and postoperative pain in foot and ankle *** To explore the relationship between tourniquet site and intensity of post-operative pain scores in patients undergoing elective foot and ankle *** Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data on 201 patients who underwent foot and ankle surgery in a single institution was *** tourniquet duration,tourniquet pressure and site,and postoperative pain scores using Visual Analogue Score were collected in immediate recovery,at six hours and at 24 h *** plots were used to analyse the data and to assess for the statistical correlation between tourniquet pressure,duration,site,and pain scores using Pearson correlation *** All patients who underwent foot and ankle surgery had tourniquet pressure of 250 mmHg for ankle tourniquet and 300 mmHg for *** was no correlation between the site of the tourniquet and pain scores in recovery,at six hours and after 24 *** was a weak correlation between tourniquet time and Visual Analogue Score immediately post-op(r=0.14,P=0.04)but not at six or 24 h *** This study shows that there was no statistically significant correlation between tourniquet pressure,site and postop pain in patients undergoing foot and ankle *** choice of using a tourniquet is based on the surgeon's preference,with the goal of minimizing the duration of its application at the operative site.

Outcome of non surgical hepatic decompression procedures in Egyptian patients with Budd-Chiari

AIM: To evaluate outcome of patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome after balloon angioplasty ± stenting or transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS). METHODS: Twenty five patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome admitted to Ain Shams University Hospitals, Tropical Medicine Department were included. Twelve patients (48%) with short segment occlusion were candidates for angioplasty; with stenting in ten cases and without stenting in two. Thirteen patients (52%) had Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt. Patients were followed up for 12-32 mo. RESULTS: Patency rate in patients who underwent angioplasty ± stenting was 83.3% at one year and at end of follow up. The need of revision was 41.6% with one year survival of 100%, dropped to 91.6% at end of follow up. In patients who had Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt, patency rate was 92.3% at one year, dropped to 84.6% at end of follow up. The need of revision was 38.4% with one year and end of follow up survival of 100%. Patients with patent shunts showed marked improvement compared to those with occluded shunts. CONCLUSION: Morbidity and mortality following angioplasty ± stenting and TIPS are low with satisfactory outcome. Proper patient selection and management of shunt dysfunction are crucial in improvement.
