Due to the demand of high computational speed for processing big data that requires complex data manipulations in a timely manner,the need for extending classical logic to construct new multi-valued optical models becomes a challenging and promising research *** paper establishes a novel octal-valued logic design model with new optical gates construction based on the hypothesis of Light Color State Model to provide an efficient solution to the limitations of computational processing inherent in the electronics *** provide new mathematical definitions for both of the binary OR function and the PLUS operation in multi valued logic that is used as the basis of novel construction for the optical full adder *** case studies were used to assure the validity of the proposed *** cases proved that the proposed optical 8-valued logic models provide significantly more information to be packed within a single bit and therefore the abilities of data representation and processing is increased.

Security is one of the major challenges that devices connected to the Internet of Things(IoT)face *** attestation is used to measure these devices’trustworthiness on the network by measuring the device platform’s *** software-based attestation mechanisms have been proposed,but none of them can detect runtime *** some researchers have attempted to tackle these attacks,the proposed techniques require additional secured hardware parts to be integrated with the attested devices to achieve their *** solutions are expensive and not suitable in many *** paper proposes a dual attestation process,SAPEM,with two phases:static and *** static attestation phase examines the program memory of the attested *** dynamic program ow attestation examines the execution correctness of the application *** can detect code injection and runtime attacks that hijack the control-ow,including data attacks that affect the program *** main aim is to minimize attestation overhead while maintaining our ability to detect the specied *** validated SAPEM by implementing it on Raspberry Pi using its TrustZone *** attested it against the specied attacks and compared its performance with the related work in the *** results show that SAPEM signicantly minimizes performance overhead while reliably detecting runtime attacks at the binary level.

Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage Based DC Unified Power Quality Conditioner with Advanced Dual Control for DC-DFIG

The development of DC custom power protection devices is still in infancy that confines the sensitive loads integrated into medium-voltage(MV) and low-voltage(LV) DC networks. Considering the DC doubly-fed induction generator(DCDFIG) based wind energy conversion system(WECS), this paper proposes a dual active bridge(DAB) based DC unified power quality conditioner(DC-UPQC) with the integration of superconducting magnetic energy storage(SMES) to maintain the terminal voltage of DC-DFIG and regulate the current flow. The principle of the proposed DC-UPQC has three parts, i.e., parallel-side DAB(PDAB), series-side DAB(SDAB), and SMES,used for the voltage compensation, current and power regulation, and energy storage, respectively. The circuit principle of the PDAB and SDAB and the modeling of SMES are analyzed in this paper. A DC dual control strategy is also proposed to deal with the DC voltage oscillation generated by the AC-side asymmetrical fault. A case study of DC-DFIG interfaced with DC power grid is carried out, integrated with the proposed SMES-based DC-UPQC to verify the high-power applications of the proposed structure. Finally, an experiment is implemented, and the results demonstrate the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the proposed structure.

Despite the extensive effort to improve intelligent educational tools for smart learning environments,automatic Arabic essay scoring remains a big research *** nature of the writing style of the Arabic language makes the problem even more *** study designs,implements,and evaluates an automatic Arabic essay scoring *** proposed system starts with pre-processing the student answer and model answer dataset using data cleaning and natural language processing ***,it comprises two main components:the grading engine and the adaptive fusion *** grading engine employs string-based and corpus-based similarity algorithms *** that,the adaptive fusion engine aims to prepare students’scores to be delivered to different feature selection algorithms,such as Recursive Feature Elimination and ***,some machine learning algorithms such as Decision Tree,Random Forest,Adaboost,Lasso,Bagging,and K-Nearest Neighbor are employed to improve the suggested system’s *** experimental results in the grading engine showed that Extracting DIStributionally similar words using the CO-occurrences similarity measure achieved the best correlation ***,in the adaptive fusion engine,the Random Forest algorithm outperforms all other machine learning algorithms using the(80%–20%)splitting method on the original *** achieves 91.30%,94.20%,0.023,0.106,and 0.153 in terms of Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient,Willmot’s Index of Agreement,Mean Square Error,Mean Absolute Error,and Root Mean Square Error metrics,respectively.

A substantial amount of Earth’s water is inadequate for human consumption while local demand is outstripping traditional supplies in many world regions;thereby,brackish and seawater treatment has become a *** investigation suggested a complete design of an RO-based desalination filter with a multilayer biomimetic *** study demonstrated a comprehensive method for experimentally fabricating a proprietary biomaterial-based multilayer nano-porous *** analysis revealed that Silk Nano-Fibril(SNF)and Hydroxyapatite(HAP)extracted from Bombyx Mori silkworm cocoons may be utilized to manufacture highly methodical multilayer membranes by incorporating protein-self-assembly and ***’s aquaporin layer containing lipid-bilayers has rapid water permeability and high efficacy at eliminating salt ions and *** 4µm thick SNF/HAP membrane showed a considerable decrease in salinity,with a salt rejection of 93.33%.The proposed membrane had a saline water permeability of 6.58 LMH/bar,almost 61.09%higher than conventional TFC *** barrier and spiral-wrapped filter architecture of the membrane enable low fouling and self-cleaning *** schematic filter design and biomimetic fabrication of the SNF/HAP membrane have formulated a conceptual framework that might direct to the broad-scale,low-cost RO water purification filters,increasing the efficiency of water desalination and boosting the effectiveness of water treatment technologies to reduce potable water scarcity.

Hepatic inflammatory pseudotumors are uncommon benign *** diagnosing hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor can be very challenging because the clinical presentation and radiological appearances are nonspecific and cannot be certainly distinguished from malignant neoplastic ***,we present a case of hepatic IPT in an 8-yearold boy who presented to clinic with a 3-mo history of a tender hepatic mass,fever of unknown origin,and9-kg weight *** physical examination was notable for tender *** investigations were notable for a normal hepatic profile and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein.A T2-attenuated magnetic resonance imaging scan of the abdomen showed a 4.7 cm x 4.7 cm x 6.6cm,contrast-enhancing,hyper-intense,well-defined lesion involving the right hepatic *** view of the unremitting symptoms,tender hepatomegaly,thrombosed right hepatic vein,nonspecific radiological findings,and high suspicion of a deep-seated underlying infection or malignancy,a right hepatic lobectomy was ***,the hepatic lesion exhibited a mixture of inflammatory cells(histiocytes,plasma cells,mature lymphocytes,and occasional multinucleated giant cells) in a background of dense fibrous ***,the cells stained negative for SMA,ALK-1,CD-21 and CD-23,diffusely positive for CD-68,and focally positive for *** final histopathological diagnosis was consistent with hepatic *** the postoperative 4-mo follow-up,the patient was asymptomatic without radiological evidence of recurrence.

The inhibition effect of lignin sulfonate against corrosion for mild steel in acidic solution has been examined by means of FTIR（fourier transform infrared spectroscopy）,FAA（flame atomic absorption）spectroscopy,SEM（scanning electron microscope）,EDS（energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy）,and mass loss *** results revealed that lignin is a beneficial inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in acidic *** has been further found that Langmuir adsorption isotherm is obeyed by the tested lignin′s adsorption over the surface of mild *** range of inhibition efficiency（IE）in 2mol·L^（-1） HCl was found to be 75.88%-87.88%for Reax 88 A,40.72%-60.32%for Reax 88 B,and 54.32%-63.03%for Reax 100 M,after immersed at 298 Kfor 24htime.
