Objective: This case report aimed to highlight intersections of TB and Cardiovasular diseases which carry high morbidity and mortality rates. Methods: We are reporting the surgical management of forty seven years female who had back ground history of IDDM (Insulin dependent diabetic Mellitus), ESRD (End stage renal disease) on HD (haemodialysis) also she had left subclavian artery stenosis, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. She was diagnosed with mitral valve infective endocarditis and found accidently to have an open pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) on the day before surgery. Results: She was started on first line anti-TB treatment. She was isolated in her private room and airborne precautions measures applied. The patient underwent a tissue Mitral Valve replacement and tricuspid valve repair annuloplasty. Special precautions were applied in Theatre and on cardiopulmonary bypass Machine guided by KAMC-J disinfection protocol. The patient made good recovery postoperatively. She was discharged well on day 7 post operatively. Conclusion: Intersections of TB and cardiovasular diseases carry high morbidity and mortality rates. Early diagnosis and early anti tuberculosis treatment can surely improve the patient prognosis. Our decontamination and disinfective procedures are recommended. Cases like this should be monitored long term for the development of further cardiovascular complication.

The positioning service aided by low Earth orbit(LEO)mega-constellations has become a hot topic in recent *** achieve precise positioning,accuracy of the LEO clocks is important for single-receiver *** bridge the gap between the applicable time of the clock products and the time of positioning,the precise LEO clocks need to be predicted over a certain period depending on the sampling interval of the clock *** study discusses the prediction errors for periods from 10 s to 1 h for two typical LEO clock types,*** ultra-stable oscillator(USO)and the oven-controlled crystal oscillator(OCXO).The prediction is based on GNSS-determined precise clock estimates,where the clock stability is related to the GNSS estimation errors,the behaviors of the oscillators themselves,the systematic effects related to the environment and the relativistic effects,and the stability of the time *** on real data analysis,LEO clocks of the two different types are simulated under different conditions,and a prediction model considering the systematic effects is *** to a simple polynomial fitting model usually applied,the proposed model can significantly reduce the prediction errors,*** about 40%-70%in simulations and about 5%-30%for real data containing different miss-modeled *** both clock types,short-term prediction of 1 min would result in a root mean square error(RMSE)of a few centimeters when using a very stable time *** RMSE amounts to about 0.1 m,when a typical real-time time reference of the national center for space studies(CNES)real-time clocks was *** long-term prediction of 1 h,the RMSE could range from below 1 m to a few meters for the USOs,depending on the complexity of the miss-modeled *** OCXOs,the 1 h prediction could lead to larger errors with an RMSE of about 10 m.

Plants have to cope with several abiotic stresses,including salinity and heavymetals(HMs).Under these stresses,several extracts have been used as effective natural biostimulants,however,the use of Spirulina platensis(SP)extract(SPE)remains *** effects of SPE were evaluated as soil addition(SA)and/or foliar spraying(FS)on antioxidant defenses and HMs content of common bean grown in saline soil contaminated with ***(40 or 80 mg SPE/hill added as SA or 20 or 40 mg SPE/plant added as FS)or integrative(SA+FS)applications of SPE showed significant improvements in the following order:SA-80+FS-40>SA-80+FS-20>SA-40+FS-40>SA-40+FS-20>SA-80>SA-40>FS-40>FS-20>***,the integrative SA+FS with 40 mg SP/plant was the most effective treatment in increasing plant growth and production,overcoming stress effects and minimizing contamination of the edible *** significantly increased plant growth(74%–185%)and yield(107%–227%)by enhancing net photosynthetic rate(78.5%),stomatal conductance(104%),transpiration rate(124%),and contents of carotenoids(60.0%),chlorophylls(49%–51%),and NPK(271%–366%).These results were concurrent with the marked reductions in malondialdehyde(61.6%),hydrogen peroxide(42.2%),nickel(91%–94%),lead(80%–9%),and cadmium(74%–91%)contents due to the improved contents of glutathione(87.1%),ascorbate(37.0%),andα-tocopherol(77.2%),and the activities of catalase(18.1%),ascorbate peroxidase(18.3%),superoxide dismutase(192%),and glutathione reductase(52.2%)as reinforcing ***,this most effective treatment is recommended to mitigate the stress effects of salinity and HMs on common bean production while minimizing HMs in the edible part.

BACKGROUND Barrett’s esophagus is a known complication of long-standing gastroesophageal reflux disease,and it is a potential risk factor of developing esophageal *** SUMMARY Here,we present a case of a 47-year-old male patient referred to the gastroenterology clinic for upper endoscopy because he has a long-standing history of heartburn and vomiting after *** examination,he had characteristic findings of self-induced vomiting as abrasions and callosities on the dorsum of the right hand and dental erosions.A detailed history revealed that he had 17 years of binge eating with self-induced *** upper endoscopy showed gastroesophageal reflux grade D with salmon-red mucosal projections,and the biopsy revealed intestinal mucosal *** This case emphasized the importance of considering upper endoscopy screening for Barrett’s esophagus in patients with eating disorders,especially those with self-induced vomiting,as in bulimia nervosa.

The Safaga Region(SR)is part of the Red Sea mountain range in *** flash flooding is now an inescapable event,wreaking havoc and causing massive loss of life and *** majority of the floodwater,however,has been wasted as runoff to the Red Sea,which,if used wisely,could meet a fraction of the water demands for a variety of applications in this *** current work aims to use GIS techniques to integrate remote sensing data for evaluating,mitigating,and managing flash floods in *** data set comprised Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM)thematic rainfall data,1:50,000 scale topographical map sheets,geological maps,the ASTER Digital elevation Model(ASTER GDEM),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper"(ETM7+),and Landsat 8 Operational Land *** flash flood risk model of SR is developed using ArcGIS-10.3 geoprocessing tools integrating all the causal factors thematic *** final flood risk model for the SR suggests that 57%of the total basins in the SR are at high risk of *** 38%of all basins are at moderate flood *** remaining 5%of basins are less prone to ***-prone zones were identified,suitable dam-building sites were located,and extremely probable areas for water recharge were *** the basis of reliable scientific data,structural and non-structural mitigation strategies that might reduce the damage susceptibility,alleviate the sensitivity of the flash flood,and best utilize its water supply were recommended.

In the last decade,there has been an increasing interest in understanding the effects of changing injected water salinity on the performance of oil *** paper aims to investigate the effects of injected water salinity on oil recovery of an Egyptian oil reservoir(Bahariya formation).An experimental work program has been performed using 25 core plugs and 5 different water salinities to study the effects of changing water salinity during both secondary and tertiary stages of *** objectives of the experimental work were to(1)investigate the effects of the low water salinity on oil recovery and(2)identify the optimum water salinity and the main reservoir parameters for application of low salinity waterflooding project(LSWF)in Bahariya *** results revealed that there is an optimum salinity for waterflooding in the secondary flooding ***,for the tertiary flooding stage,the results showed that the controlling factor is not decreasing the salinity,but rather changing the salinity(*** increasing or decreasing).It was also clear that applying the optimum salinity in the secondary recovery stage is more effective than applying it in the tertiary recovery ***,the results showed that the positive impact of LSWF may be expected in reservoirs with high amount of kaolinite,high values of CEC,and low amounts of plagioclase *** study is an original contribution to develop guidelines for designing optimum salinity waterflooding projects in sandstone reservoirs.

Voltage imbalance(VI)is caused by the difference in connected single-phase load or generation in a low voltage distribution network(DN).VI increase in a smart distribution grid is due to the current practice of increasing single-phase distributed generators such as photovoltaic(PV)*** paper proposes a decentralized control method to mitigate VI using distributed batteries included in smart grid interfaced residential PV *** mitigate VI using the batteries in this way,five challenges must be overcome,i.e.,equalizing all battery stress currents within the DN,mitigating VI in abnormal conditions such as signal loss among bus controllers,being immune from the distorted feedback measurements,minimizing the steady-state error at different loads,and overcoming the insufficient number or capacity of the distributed batteries at the same *** fuzzy logic controllers(FLC)are proposed at each bus to overcome these five tasks based on a decentralized control *** proposed decentralized control based on FLC is compared with centralized control based on a PI *** proposed control method is tested and verified using simulations in the MATLAB/Simulink software,and the results validate the ability of the scheme to alleviate VI on a smart distribution network under both normal and abnormal conditions.
