Background:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of limited-resource hospitals in managing mild and moderate hospitalized cases of CoVID-19 with comorbidities and in preventing their progression to severe ***:Data were obtained from 88 moderate CoVID-19 patients with comorbidities who were admitted to limitedresource *** data were classified into several parts:comorbidities,chronic medication before hospital admission,symptoms of CoVID-19 before and during hospitalization,clinical features,laboratory findings on hospital admission,complications during hospitalization,as well as worst laboratory values during hospitalization,hospital stay,and *** clinical features,laboratory results,type of oxygen therapy used,and the final treatment outcome were all evaluated to assess for any potential ***:All patients were alive upon *** admission,the majority of patients(60.2%)received CoVID-19 treatment,and the average hospital stay was 12 *** most common symptoms were fever(88.7%),cough(95.5%),shortness of breath(90.9%),myalgia(84.1%),confusion(63.6%),headache(62.5%),sore throat(88.7%),rhinorrhea(17%),chest pain(58%),diarrhea(19.3%),nausea and vomiting(38.6%),anosmia(62.5%),as well as dysgeusia(64.8%).Based on chest radiograph or computed tomography(CT)scan,9.1%of the patients had unilateral pneumonia,90.9% had bilateral pneumonia,and 96.6% had multiple mottling and ground-glass *** was found associated with a significant increase in headache(p=0.005),rhinorrhea(p=0.013),chest pain(p=0.007),and the need for positive airway pressure(p=0.008).Between pre-and post-hospital admissions,there was a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase and ferritin but a decrease in platelet,D-dimer,hemoglobin,lymphocytes,neutrophils,and total leucocyte count(pociation between hospital stay and D-dimer level(p=0.05).Conclusion:Limited-resource hospitals in Egypt w

CoVID-19 is a respiratory infection that has lately begun to affect other vital organs,including the heart,kidney,and *** purpose of this study was to investigate the hepatic complications in CoVID-19 patients and the risk of being admitted to ICU or facing ***:Comorbidities(hypertension and diabetes),CoVID-19 symptoms,laboratory findings(ALT level,AST level,and albumin),complications during hospitalization,treatment protocol used,and survival outcomes were all studied in 200 CoVID-19 infected Egyptian patients who had virological symptoms and were followed up until they recovered or *** was found that older people and those with higher blood glucose levels have a higher risk of developing liver-associated CoVID-19 ***,the majority of patients who developed liver complications in the course of the infection had high mortality *** with diabetes,hypertension,or hepatic disease are at higher risk of ICU admission or ***,it is important to pay attention to these problems in the diagnosis and treatment of CoVID-19 to develop a suitable individualized treatment *** was also a correlation between the mortality in CoVID-19 patients and both,high blood glucose and liver enzyme *** can be attributed to the correlation between diabetes and liver disease as every disease may be a complication to the other;moreover,CoVID-19 may lead to increased blood sugar levels in addition to ALT and AST *** theory is that CoVID-19 may afiect the liver and hence people with chronic liver disease.

Synthesis and evaluation of some novel additives as antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors for petroleum fractions

Benzoxazinone 2 was prepared and reacted with formamide,acetamide,some primary aromatic amines and heterocyclic amines giving the corresponding quinazolone derivatives 3-15 *** reaction of benzoxazinone 2 with hydrazine hydrate and phenyl hydrazine was also *** compounds of the synthesized products were evaluated as antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors for gasoline engine lubricating *** highest antioxidant activities were obtained with compounds *** optimum concentration recommended for these new additives was found to be *** for 1L ofoil for compounds *** addition,some of the highly effective antioxidant additives,namely 10-15,were thermally analyzed by using thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） and differential thermal gravimetric analysis （DTGA） techniques and the results indicated that compounds are thermally stable and could be used under thermal ***,a comparison of the oxidation stability between the tested oil containing the prepared products and lubricating oil containing commercial additives was also studied.

A Novel Approach in Hydrogeochemical Exploration for Uranium Mineralization:an Example from West Central Sinai,Egypt

Groundwater in contact with ore deposits may acquire a chemical composition that could be used as a guide for exploration. Eight well-water samples are collected from a known uraniummineralized area near Abu Zenima, west central Sinai to examine the applicability of using the hydrogeochemical technique in the search for uranium mineralization in similar arid areas. The analytical chemical data of the ground water is compared with ground radiometric measurements. The obtained results indicate that groundwater affected by uranium mineralization has a specific relativity of major anions expressed essentially as So_4〉Cl〉HCo_3 and to a lesser extent as Cl〉So_4〉HCo_3, associated as a rule with low magnesium content. This association constitutes a signature of uranium mineralization on the composition of groundwater in west central Sinai and could be used as an important exploration guide in the search for uranium deposits in similar areas. Anomalies in Ni, Fe, Zn and Cr and other pathfinder elements in groundwater can furnish geochemical guides to uranium ores. The immobile trace element anomalies, including Zn, Ni and Fe are strongly distributed near the orebody; whereas the relatively mobile trace elements, including Co, U, V and Cr, constitute the dispersion haloes away from the orebody. A new hydrogeochemical discrimination diagram is constructed to be used as a quick and cost effective exploration tool in the search for uranium occurrences in environmentally similar arid areas. Based on the obtained results, a new site for uranium occurrence, west of W. Baba, is delineated and recommended for future detailed geological and geochemical surveying.

The Safaga Region(SR)is part of the Red Sea mountain range in *** flash flooding is now an inescapable event,wreaking havoc and causing massive loss of life and *** majority of the floodwater,however,has been wasted as runoff to the Red Sea,which,if used wisely,could meet a fraction of the water demands for a variety of applications in this *** current work aims to use GIS techniques to integrate remote sensing data for evaluating,mitigating,and managing flash floods in *** data set comprised Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM)thematic rainfall data,1:50,000 scale topographical map sheets,geological maps,the ASTER Digital elevation Model(ASTER GDEM),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper"(ETM7+),and Landsat 8 operational Land *** flash flood risk model of SR is developed using ArcGIS-10.3 geoprocessing tools integrating all the causal factors thematic *** final flood risk model for the SR suggests that 57%of the total basins in the SR are at high risk of *** 38%of all basins are at moderate flood *** remaining 5%of basins are less prone to ***-prone zones were identified,suitable dam-building sites were located,and extremely probable areas for water recharge were *** the basis of reliable scientific data,structural and non-structural mitigation strategies that might reduce the damage susceptibility,alleviate the sensitivity of the flash flood,and best utilize its water supply were recommended.

Protective compartments are typically used to protect some specific structures from internal explosions,such as industrial buildings that contain devices that may explode in certain *** research investigates how the response of reinforced concrete(RC)compartment structures subjected to internal blast loads are affected by the following aspects:introduction of material nonlinearity in the analysis,reinforcement ratio,and aspect ratio of the *** achieve this goal,a calibrated and sophisticated FE numerical model is introduced,and a parametric study for the intended aspects is carried out.A discussion of the results and conclusions are offered,which show the role of each aspect in the dynamic performance of the compartment *** main conclusions are as follows:introduction of material nonlinearity in this type of analysis and for these structures is very important and significant in obtaining accurate outputs that are similar to actual behavior;the reinforcement ratio has a significant effect on the response and its effect varies depending on the thickness of the compartment;in general,increasing the reinforcement ratio enhances the behavior and reduces the stresses in the compartment;and the aspect ratio of the compartment does not show a clear pattern on the response of such structures under internal blast loads.

Hepatoprotective Effect of Camel Thorn Polyphenols in Concanavalin A-Induced Hepatitis in Mice

objective:To explore the prophylactic and therapeutic effects of Alhagi maurorum ethanolic extract(AME)in concanavalin A(Con A)-induced hepatitis(CIH)as well as possible underlying ***:Polyphenols in AME were characterized using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Swiss albino mice were divided into 4 *** group received intravenous phosphate-buffered saline(PBS);Con A group received 40 mg/kg intravenous Con *** group administered 300 mg/(kg·d)AME orally for 5 days before Con A *** group received intravenous Con A then administered300 mg/kg AME at 30 min and 3 h after Con A *** 24 h of Con A injection,hepatic injury,oxidative stress,and inflammatory mediators were *** examination and markers of apoptosis,inflammation,and CD4^(+)cell infiltration were also ***:HPLC analysis revealed that AME contains abundant polyphenols with pharmacological constituents,such as ellagic acid,gallic acid,ferulic acid,methylgallate,and *** alleviated Con A-induced hepatic injury,as manifested by a significant reduction in alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase(Ponally,the antioxidant effect of AME was revealed by a significant reduction in oxidative stress markers(nitric oxide and malondialdehyde)and restored glutathione(Pels of proinflammatory cytokines(tumor necrosis factor-α,interferon-γ,and interleukin-6)and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)activity were reduced(Popathological examination of liver tissue showed that AME significantly ameliorated necrotic and inflammatory lesions induced by Con A(Poreover,AME reduced the expression of nuclear factor kappa B,pro-apoptotic protein(Bax),caspase-3,and CD4^(+)T cell hepatic infiltration(Pon of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 was increased(Ponclusions:AME has hepatoprotective and ameliorative effects in CIH mice

Synthesis and evaluation of some new oxazolones and imidazolones as antioxidant additives for Egyptian lubricating oils

oxazolone derivative 2 was utilized as a key intermediate for synthesis of some new oxazolone and imidazolone derivatives. Reaction of oxazolone derivative 2 with diamines under different conditions afforded the corresponding imidazolone derivatives 3-8, respectively. Moreover, oxazolone 2 reacted with some heterocyclic amines in glacial acetic acid giving the corresponding imidazolone derivatives 9-14, respectively. Cyclocondensation of thiosemicarbazide with compound 2 in dry pyridine afforded compound 15. Addition of secondary amines to olefin double bond of compound 2 gave the corresponding addition products 16-19, respectively. Michael addition of compound 2 with some active methylene compounds afforded oxazolone derivatives 20-23, respectively. These prepared products were evaluated as antioxidant and corrosion inhibitors for gasoline lubricating oil and compounds 6a-e, 10 and 15 exhibited the highest antioxidant and anticorrosive activities. The effect of concentration of additives was studied to recommend the optimum concentration to be used. The results showed, for additive 15, 0.1 g for 1 L oil was the more effective concentration. Measurements for thermal analysis and of surface tension of oil after oxidation were also carried out.

The identification and classification of collective people’s activities are gaining momentum as significant themes in machine learning,with many potential applications *** need for representation of collective human behavior is especially crucial in applications such as assessing security conditions and preventing crowd *** paper investigates the capability of deep neural network(DNN)algorithms to achieve our carefully engineered pipeline for crowd *** includes three principal stages that cover crowd analysis ***,individual’s detection is represented using the You only Look once(YoLo)model for human detection and Kalman filter for multiple human tracking;Second,the density map and crowd counting of a certain location are generated using bounding boxes from a human detector;and Finally,in order to classify normal or abnormal crowds,individual activities are identified with pose *** proposed system successfully achieves designing an effective collective representation of the crowd given the individuals in addition to introducing a significant change of crowd in terms of activities *** results onMoT20 and SDHA datasets demonstrate that the proposed system is robust and *** framework achieves an improved performance of recognition and detection peoplewith a mean average precision of 99.0%,a real-time speed of 0.6ms non-maximumsuppression(NMS)per image for the SDHAdataset,and 95.3%mean average precision for MoT20 with 1.5ms NMS per image.

Three tridentate imine ligands containing N2S donors were synthesized via Schiff condensation between derivatives of both amino triazine and 2-carbonyl *** reaction of these ligands with CuCl2 in a molar ratio of 1:1 provides three Cu(II) complexes with the general formula [CuLn·Cl_(2)].Analytical,electrical,magnetic,and spectroscopic studies were used to assign the molecular formulae of these metallic *** function theory (DFT) calculations confirmed the structural analysis results obtained from spectroscopic *** various characterization techniques used demonstrated the penta-coordinated slightly distorted square pyramidal structure for the present Cu(II) complexes 1,2,and *** of cyclic voltammetry were done in methanol to define the electrochemical behavior of the current Cu(II) *** biomimetics of catechol oxidase (C.o.);phenoxazinone synthase (PHS) have been studied in the aerobic oxidation of some phenolic substrates,such as 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol (3,5-DTBCH2);ortho-aminophenol (o-APH3).The three candidate oxidase mimetics showed promising activity in the order 3 > 1 > *** catalytic activity related to the structural properties of existing oxidase mimetics was *** driving force (-ΔG°) controlling the redox reactions of the present biomolecules was calculated from the redox data of Cu(II) complexes 1,2,and *** potential catalytic reaction pathway for the oxidation of the studied phenolic substrates was discussed.
