In th.s article, we study th. problem of predicting future records and order statistics (two-sample prediction) based on progressive type-II censored with.random removals, wh.re th. number of units removed at each.failure time h.s a discrete binomial distribution. We use th. Bayes procedure to derive both.point and interval bounds prediction. Bayesian point prediction under symmetric and symmetric loss functions is discussed. Th. maximum likelih.od (ML) prediction intervals using “plug-in” procedure for future records and order statistics are derived. An example is discussed to illustrate th. application of th. results under th.s censoring sch.me.

In th.s paper, th. inference for th. Burr-X model under progressively first-failure censoring sch.me is discussed. Based on th.s new censoring were th. number of units removed at each.failure time h.s a discrete binomial distribution. Th. maximum likelih.od, Bootstrap and Bayes estimates for th. Burr-X distribution are obtained. Th. Bayes estimators are obtained using both.th. symmetric and asymmetric loss functions. Approximate confidence interval and h.gh.st posterior density interval (h.DI) are discussed. A numerical example is provided to illustrate th. proposed estimation meth.ds developed h.re. Th. maximum likelih.od and th. different Bayes estimates are compared via a Monte Carlo simulation study.

In th.s paper, based on a new type of censoring sch.me called an adaptive type-II progressive censoring sch.me introduce by Ng et al. [1], Naval Research.Logistics is considered. Based on th.s type of censoring th. maximum likelih.od estimation (MLE), Bayes estimation, and parametric bootstrap meth.d are used for estimating th. unknown parameters. Also, we propose to apply Markov ch.in Monte Carlo (MCMC) tech.ique to carry out a Bayesian estimation procedure and in turn calculate th. credible intervals. Point estimation and confidence intervals based on maximum likelih.od and bootstrap meth.d are also proposed. Th. approximate Bayes estimators obtained under th. assumptions of non-informative priors, are compared with.th. maximum likelih.od estimators. Numerical examples using real data set are presented to illustrate th. meth.ds of inference developed h.re. Finally, th. maximum likelih.od, bootstrap and th. different Bayes estimates are compared via a Monte Carlo simulation study.

OBJECTIVE: To assess th. effect of vitamin D supplementation on enh.ncement of embryos implantation rates in intracytoplasmic sperm injection procedures. STUDY DESIGN: A randomized double-blinded controlled trial. SETTING: Assisted Reproduction Unit of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, South.Valley University, Egypt. DURATION: From December 1st 2017 to th. end of October 2018. SUBJECTS and METh.S: Eigh.y infertile couples th.t underwent ICSI procedure were entrapped in th.s study. Patients were divided into two groups;Group I (Vitamin D group) = 40 patients (received vitamin D supplementation in th. form of Vidrop oral drops 600 IU/day starting after ovum pickup) and Group II (placebo group) = 40 patients (received a placebo “normal saline oral drop”). RESULTS: Th.re was a significantly increased embryo implantation rates (53.2% in vitamin D group versus 46.7% in placebo group), th.re was a mild statistically significant difference in th. clinical pregnancy rates (45.9% in vitamin D group versus 39.4% in placebo group) with.p-value h.re was an improvement in ongoing pregnancy rate as th.re was a mild statistically significant difference in first trimester miscarriage rates (12.5% in vitamin D group versus 17.5% in placebo group) with.p value CONCLUSIONS: Vitamin D supplementation could improve embryos implantation rates and rate of ongoing pregnancy by decline in th. first trimester miscarriage rate.

Tilted global solar irradiance in Bah.ain: an experimental study

In th. present work, tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed, measured for a period of 1 year on th. campus of Bah.ain Polytech.ic, Kingdom of Bah.ain, from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar tracker. Th. fixed panel faces south.with.an angle of 26 degrees with.respect to th. h.rizontal, coinciding with.th. local geograph.cal latitude. Th. second panel is moved by two motors, controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so th.t th. Sun's rays are perpendicular to th. panel surface. A pyranometer is installed on each.panel, recording th. tilted global solar irradiance, stored by using a data logger. Th. analysis of th. data obtained sh.ws a 33% solar energy gain on an annual basis for th. moving panel (2780 versus 2088 kWh.m2 on th. fixed panel). More importantly, in June, wh.n th. energy demand in Bah.ain is elevated due to th. increased residential cooling loads, th. solar energy received by th. moving panel is 54.7% h.gh.r compared with.th.t of th. fixed panel. On a percentage basis, th. increase in solar energy from th. moving panel is profound in th. early morning and late evening h.urs. Moreover, th. reduction in th. solar energy received by th. fixed panel from May to June does not appear in th. moving panel because of th. adjustable orientation of th. latter. Th.ough.ut th. year, th. mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m2 for th. fixed panel, and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m2 for th. moving panel. In winter, solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weath.r conditions th.t present a peak standard deviation of 28% of th. corresponding mean. Th. data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries. Tilted global solar irradiance data are measured and analysed for a period of 1 year on th. campus of Bah.ain Polytech.ic, Kingdom of Bah.ain, from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar tracker. Globally,groundwater h.s globally emerged as a crucial fresh.ater source for domestic,irrigation,and industrial *** evaluation of groundwater quality in th. Tosh.a region is imperative to ensure its suitability for th. extensive agricultural and industrial activities underway in th.s promising,groundwater-dependent development *** is particularly significant as Egypt increasingly relies on groundwater reserves to address fresh.ater deficits and to implement mega-development projects in barren *** th.s study,fifty-two samples were collected from th. recently drilled wells tapping into th. Nubian Sandstone Aquifer(NSA)in th. Tosh.a *** quality was assessed th.ough.h.droch.mical analysis,Piper diagram,and various indicators such.as Na%,SAR,RSC,KR,Mh.and *** h.droch.mical analysis revealed improved groundwater quality ch.racteristics,attributed to continuous rech.rge from Lake *** Piper diagram categorised most of th. water samples as"secondary salinity"water *** all wells proved suitable for irrigation with.only two wells unsuitable based on Mh.values and six wells based on KR *** Total h.rdness(Th.values,all samples were classified as"Soft",indicating th.ir suitability for domestic and industrial *** Quality Index(WQI)results concluded th.t all samples met Wh. and FAO guidelines for drinking and irrigation,*** distribution maps,constructed using GIS,facilitate th. interpretation of th. *** monitoring of quality parameters is essential to detect any deviation from permissible limits.
