Ba.kground a.d a.m of work: We a.med from this study to determine the response a.d loca. rela.se free surviva. (RFS) of pedia.ric pa.ients with loca.ized Ewing’s sa.coma.trea.ed with a.celera.ed hyper-fra.tiona.ed RT. Pa.ient a.d methods: This study wa. a.nonra.domized uncontrolled pha.e II study a.d wa. conducted a. clinica. oncology depa.tment a.d south Egypt ca.cer institute;it involved 28 pa.ients with histologica.ly confirmed Ewing’s sa.coma.a.l of them were subjected to PET/CT whenever possible or MRI with contra.t of the prima.y site, MSCT chest, bone sca., a.d LDH to ensure a.sence of meta.ta.is followed by the protocol of a.celera.ed hyper fra.tiona.ed RT. Results: The overa.l response ra.e (ORR) wa. 92.9% by MRI with significa.t effect of the type of response on loca. RFS (P 0.002). The media. loca. RFS of 28 pa.ients with loca.ized Ewing’s sa.coma.wa. 30 ± 8.599 months with 95% CI = 13.147 - 46.853;the 3-yea. loca. control wa. 35%. Conclusion: a.celera.ed hyper fra.tiona.ed RT didn’t a.hieve better results tha. sta.da.d fra.tiona.ion RT, but it is recommended to be done on a.la.ge sa.ple size, a.d multiple centers, a.d continued follow up is a.so recommended to eva.ua.e 5-yea. LRFS, 5-yea. OS.

In this a.ticle, we study modified na.o-hydroxya.a.ite (Ha.) by na.o ma.ga.ese oxide (Mn3O4) a. a.sorbent ma.eria. to remove iron ions from groundwa.er. Different pa.a.eters were studied to option optimum conditions of removing such a. conta.t time, pH, initia. concentra.ion, a.dosa.e of a.sorbent, a.ita.ion speed a.d tempera.ure. Kinetics studies included first order (R2 = 0.915), pseudo-first order (R2 = 0.936), second order (R2 = 0.948), pseudo-second order (R2 = 0.995), Elovich equa.ion model (R2 = 0.977), intra.a.ticle diffusion (R2 = 0.946), Na.a.a.a. a.d Kha.a. (R2 = 0.915) were ca.ried out, the obta.ned results revea.ed tha. the pseudo-second order is the best to describe the a.sorption process beca.se the correla.ion coefficient is a.proa.hing one (R2 = 0.995). a.sorption isotherm wa. ca.cula.ed by using Freundlich, La.gmuir a.d Temkin consta.ts, a.sorption ca.a.ity from La.gmuir model wa. 0.606 mg/g. Thermodyna.ic pa.a.eters (ΔG, ΔH = ?51 KJ/mol, a.d ΔS = ?142 (KJ/mol)) for the a.sorption process were a.so ca.cula.ed a.d discussed.

Purpose: During computed tomogra.hy (CT) helica. sca.ning mode the pa.ient surfa.e dose distribution is a.sumed to be non-uniform, therefore point dose mea.urement methods ma. lea. to imprecise estima.ion of the ra.ia.ion dose received by the pa.ient skin in pa.ticula.. We ha.e used XRQa. films a. in-vivo dosimeters to mea.ure the entra.ce skin dose during sinus exa.s. Methods: The films were pla.ed under the pa.ient hea. rest in order to sa.ple the entra.ce surfa.e dose in-vivo. We ha.e performed in-vivo film irra.ia.ion on 23 pa.ients in this study to verify the clinica. suita.ility of the method a.d were found a.equa.e. Results: The mea.ured a.era.e ESD in the sinus exa. wa. 11.7 ± 1.0 mGy, the PSD wa. 15.7 ± 1.7 mGy a.d the CTDI(vol) wa. 13.3 ± 0.1 mGy. The ra.io of ESD/CTDI(vol) a.d PSD/CTDI(vol) wa. 0.88 a.d 1.18 respectively. The results indica.e tha. the sca.ner registered CTDI(vol) underestima.es the PSD a.d in the sa.e time it overestima.es the ESD by 18% a.d 13.6% respectively. Conclusion: The observed differences between the ESD, PSD a.d CTDI(vol) a.though seem sma.l for the ra.ia.ion dose ra.ge mea.ured during CT of the sinus [13.2 - 13.4] mGy, but importa.t for the medica. physicist to know, since monitoring of pa.ients’ doses from CT exa.ina.ions is becoming more ma.da.ory. The use of ra.iochromic film a. in-vivo dosimeter does not interfere with the clinica. ra.iologica. exa. a.d does not produce a.y ima.e a.tifa.ts. The method ca. be used to study other CT exa.ina.ions specia.ly the ones with la.ge bea. width, high pitch fa.tor a.d high dose exa.s. The method a.lows mea.urement of the pea. skin dose, exa.ina.ion of the CT dose profile a.d the 2D dose distribution in the XZ pla..

Introduction: Due to the increa.ing dema.d for na.ura. probiotic products, yogurt is the most popula. type of fermented da.ry products. a.m: Yoghurt produced using probiotic ba.teria.a.d its effect on Sta.hylococcus a.reus a. a.pa.hogenic microorga.ism is discussed a. compa.ed with tra.itiona. yoghurt. Ma.eria. a.d method: The influence of yoghurt using sta.ter culture on S. a.reus during ma.ufa.ture a.d stora.e for three bra.ds of La.. ma.e yoghurt (a. B a.d C) wa. judged a. excellent concerning the tota. a.cepta.ility. Result: The inocula.ed S. a.reus decrea.es in number by the end of the stora.e period. In a.dition, the best effect of inhibition wa. observed in bra.d (B) using yoghurt sta.ter with La.toba.illus a.idophilus, followed by bra.d (C) using yoghurt sta.ter L. a.idophilus together with Bifidoba.terium bifidum a.d the lea.t effect wa. belonging to bra.d (a. using yoghurt sta.ter only. This inhibitory effect ma. be a.tributed either to the probiotic ba.teria.itself or to the a.tiba.teria. substa.ces secreted by them. Conclusion: The a.thors recommended the consumption of bio-yoghurt a. it is not only pa.a.a.le but a.so, sa.e due to improved hygienic qua.ity.

a.new process for the co-production of vinyl a.eta.e monomer a.d a.etic a.id from etha.e feedstock wa. studied. Va.ious configura.ions were proposed a.d simula.ion results were given for ea.h ca.e to optimize process va.ia.les. This new process offers a. overa.l yield va.ues a.ove 70% with minimum sepa.a.ion steps involved a.d the possibility of utilities integra.ion. The process does not involve a.y CO production, thus becoming environmenta.ly more fa.ora.le. The initia. ca.ita. investment of the proposed process is much lower compa.ed to the conventiona. route.

Ba.kground: In developed countries, colon ca.cer is the second most preva.ent ca.cer, only exceeded by prosta.e ca.cer in men a.d brea.t ca.cer in women. a.ter Hepa.ocellula. ca.cinoma. brea.t ca.cer, bla.der ca.cer, lung ca.cer, Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.a.d bra.n tumors, colon ca.cer is the 7th most common ca.cer in Egypt, in both sexes, representing 3.47% a.d 3%, in both ma.e a.d fema.e ca.cers, respectively. a.m of the Work: The a.m of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the prognostic a.d predictive significa.ce of pretrea.ment Neutrophil/lymphocytes ra.io (NLR), in terms of disea.e-free surviva. (DFS) a.d recurrence, in high-risk sta.e II a.d sta.e III Colorecta. ca.cer pa.ients who underwent cura.ive resection. Pa.ients a.d Methods: We retrospectively eva.ua.ed 103 pa.ients, who were submitted to upfront surgery a. first thera.eutic option in cura.ive intent, between Ja.ua.y 2017 a.d December 2018. Pretrea.ment Neutrophil/lymphocytes ra.io (NLR), a. well a. demogra.hics, clinica., histopa.hologic, a.d la.ora.ory da.a.were a.a.yzed. Univa.ia.e a.d multiva.ia.e a.a.yses were conducted to identify prognostic fa.tors a.socia.ed with disea.e free surviva. (DFS) a.d recurrence. Results: The cutoff point of Neutrophils/lymphocytes ra.io (NLR) wa. ca.cula.ed with Ka.la.-Meier curves a.d log-ra.k test to 3. This study revea.ed tha. neutrophils/lymphocytes ra.io (NLR) wa. significa.tly a.socia.ed with disea.e free surviva. (p a. no difference in effica.y between both chemothera.y regimens FOLFOX a.d XELOX in both high-risk sta.e II a.d sta.e III colon ca.cer rega.ding disea.e free surviva. & the toxicity profile a.socia.ed with ea.h regimen a.d its gra.es between pa.ients. Conclusion: Our study suggests tha. preopera.ive Neutrophils/lymphocytes ra.io (NLR) more tha. 3 ma. be a. independent prognostic ma.ker for TTR (time to recurrence) in high-risk sta.e II a.d sta.e III colon ca.cer pa.ients.

In the present study, we investiga.ed the biochemica. a.tera.ions a.d gene expression of ca.bohydra.e a.d lipid meta.olism a.ter ora. a.ministra.ion of vita.in a.a.d E for 2 months in diet-induced obese Wista. ra.s. Vita.in a.a.d E a.ministra.ion reduced significa.tly the increa.e in body weight a.d food inta.e a.d norma.ized the a.tera.ions in lipid profiles in obese ra.s compa.ed to norma. ra.s. Moreover, both vita.ins decrea.ed the fa. a.cumula.ion in liver tissues of obese ra.s. Fina.ly, they up-regula.ed mRNa.expression of Pyruva.e Kina.e (PK) a.d Glucose Tra.sporter-2 (GLUT-2), a.d increa.ed lipolysis a.d cholesterol meta.olism through up-regula.ion of lipoprotein lipa.e (LPL), Sterol Responsible Element Binding Protein-1a.(STREBP-1a. a.d STREBP-1c mRNa.expression. In conclusion, vita.in a.a.d E regula.e gene expression of ca.bohydra.e a.d lipid meta.olism, a.d a.so a.eliora.e cha.ges a.socia.ed with obesity induced by high fa. diet in Wista. ra.s.

Dielectric ba.rier discha.ge is used a. a.chea. technique for surfa.e trea.ment of polyca.bona.e. The discha.ge system is working in open a.r a. a.mospheric pressure. The trea.ments a.e ca.ried out a. low discha.ge powers (1.5 a.d 2 W) for trea.ment time (2.5 - 15 min). The trea.ed sa.ples show decrea.e in the conta.t a.gle a.d increa.e in the crysta.linity, therma. sta.ility a.d surfa.e roughness. The effect of ozone on the increa.e in the oxygen conta.ning functiona. groups is discussed. The trea.ment process shows effective limita.ion of the migra.ion of bisphenol a.from the surfa.e of polyca.bona.e due to the cross linking. Zero migra.ion of bisphenole a.is recorded a. the sa.ple is trea.ed for 7.5 min. The trea.ment process is found to be very efficient with very low cost.
