SK76 single fibers subjectet to 77% nominal transverse compressive *** investigation of quasistatic transverse compression on Dyneema~? SK-76 yarns,unconstrained in the lateral direction,indicate an average of 4% reduction in tensile strength of yarns compressed to 77% nominal *** this work we use finite element modeling techniques to understand the difference in residual tensile strength between single fibers and yarns observed in laterally unconstrained transverse compression *** element study of the transverse compression response of single fibers and yarns indicate that local strains developed in fibers within the yarn are much lower than the local strains developed in single fibers subjected to a given nominal strain and may explain the less reduction in strength observed in yarns.

A technique is developed for single qubit quantum state tomography using the mathematical setup of generalized quantization scheme for *** this technique,Alice sends an unknown pure quantum state to Bob who appends it with|0><0|and then applies the unitary operators on the appended quantum state and finds the payoffs for Alice and *** is shown that for a particular set of unitary operators,these payoffs are equal to Stokes parameters for an unknown quantum *** this way an unknown quantum state can be measured and *** speaking,this technique is not a game as no strategic competitions are involved.

In this work,we have investigated the rotating effect on the thermodynamic properties of a 2D quantum ***,we have considered the radial potential of a 2D quantum ring and solved the Schrödinger equation in the presence of the Aharonov-Bohm effect and a uniform magnetic field for the considered *** to the solution of the equation,we calculated the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the considered *** the calculated energy spectrum,we obtained the partition function and thermodynamic properties of the system,such as the mean energy,specific heat,entropy and free *** results show that the rotating effect has a significant influence on the thermophysical properties of a 2D quantum *** also study other effects of the rotating term:(1)the effect of different values of rotating parameters,and(2)the effect of negative rotation on the thermodynamic properties of the *** results are discussed in detail.

The glaucoma surgical landscape has changed dramatically over the last decade with the introduction and integration of micro-invasive glaucoma surgery(MIGS)*** modalities target physiologic outflow pathways or optimize previously utilized glaucoma surgical methods in order to deliver safety,efficacy,and individualized care to the *** techniques can be classified based on anatomical location as well as method of intraocular pressure(IOP)*** review will focus on MIGS optimizing the conventional outflow pathway via intervention at Schlemm’s canal,MIGS optimizing the uveoscleral outflow pathway via suprachoroidal shunting,and MIGS optimizing the transscleral or subconjunctival outflow pathway which has long been utilized by glaucoma surgeons performing traditional filtration *** wide array of currently available MIGS modalities can be staggering to the glaucoma care provider,but an understanding of the landscape and the large classes of interventional strategies can allow for clinical decision making based on the specifics of the patient’s needs and the pathophysiology of their disease.

We study the impact of steady,homogeneous,and external parallel electric and magnetic field strengths(eE||eB)on the chiral symmetry breaking-restoration and confinement-deconfinement phase *** also sketch the phase diagram of quantum chromodynamics(QCD)at a finite temperature T and in the presence of background *** unified formalism for this study is based on the Schwinger-Dyson equations,symmetry preserving vector-vector contact interaction model of quarks,and an optimal time regularization *** T=0,in the purely magnetic case(i.e.,eE→0),we observe the well-known magnetic catalysis ***,in a pure electric field background(eB→0),the electric field tends to restore the chiral symmetry and deconfinement above the pseudo-critical electric field eE^(x,C)_(c).In the presence of both eE and eB,we determine the magnetic catalysis effect in the particular region where eB dominates over eE,whereas we observe the chiral inhibition(or electric chiral rotation)effect when eE overshadows *** finite T,in the pure electric field case,the phenomenon of inverse electric catalysis appears to exist in the proposed ***,for a pure magnetic field background,we observe the magnetic catalysis effect in the mean-field approximation and inverse magnetic catalysis with eB-dependent *** combined effects of eE and eB on the pseudo-critical T^(x,C)_(c)yields an inverse electromagnetic catalysis,with and without an eB-dependent effective coupling of the *** findings of this study agree well with the already predicted results obtained via lattice simulations and other reliable effective models of QCD.

The Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs)used for the monitoring applications like pipelines carrying oil,water,and gas;perimeter surveillance;border monitoring;and subway tunnel monitoring form ***,the infrastructure being monitored inherently forms linearity(straight line through the placement of sensor nodes).Therefore,suchWSNs are called linear *** applications are security critical because the data being communicated can be used for malicious *** contemporary research of WSNs data security cannot fit in directly to linear WSN as only by capturing few nodes,the adversary can disrupt the entire service of linear ***,we propose a data aggregation scheme that takes care of privacy,confidentiality,and integrity of *** addition,the scheme is resilient against node capture attack and collusion *** are several schemes detecting the malicious ***,the proposed scheme also provides an identification of malicious nodes with lesser key storage ***,we provide an analysis of communication cost regarding the number of messages being *** the best of our knowledge,the proposed data aggregation scheme is the first lightweight scheme that achieves privacy and verification of data,resistance against node capture and collusion attacks,and malicious node identification in linear WSNs.

The effects of exogenous ascorbic acid and silicium on leaf fresh weigh, seed yield, photosynthesis, changes of the activities of major antioxidant enzymes, nitrate reductase activity, proline accumulation, chlorophyll content, and fatty acid composition were investigated in salt-stressed canola. A hydroponic pot experiment was conducted based on randomized complete block design, factorial arrangement was used with 16 combinations of salinity stress （0, 100, 200, and 300 mmol L-1 NaC1）, ascorbic acid （0 and 30 mmol L-1）, and silicium （2 and 4 mmol L-1 from potassium silicate） with three replicates. The results showed that salinity significantly decreased leaf area and leaf fresh weight, seed yield, photosynthesis, nitrate reductase activity, chlorophyll content, and seed protein percentage. Conversely, respiration, antioxidant enzymes activity, proline accumulation, and linolenic acid percentage increased due to salt stress. Ascorbic acid application improved photosynthesis and seed yield and mitigated antioxidant enzyme activity. In addition, nitrate reductase activity and chlorophyll a and b were positively affected by ascorbic acid. Regarding silicium application, that was found that leaf area, leaf fresh weight, seed yield and photosynthesis, ascorbate peroxidase activity, nitrate reductase activity, and chlorophyll content increased, while respiration decreased. Furthermore, silicium had not significant effect on antioxidant enzyme activity. In general, ascorbic acid and silicium were involved in the defensive mechanisms against salinity stress and it can be suggested that, ascorbic acid and silicium application had positive effect on canola growth under conditions of salt stress.

Interactions among the reacting species NO, CO and O2 on metal catalytic surfaces are studied by means of Monte Carlo simulation using the Eley-Rideal （ER） mechanism. The study of this three-component system is important for understanding of the reaction kinetics by varying the relative ratios of the reactants. It is found that contrary to the conventional Langmuir-Hinshelwood （LFI） thermal mechanism in which two irreversible phase transitions are obtained between active states and poisoned states, a single phase transition is observed when the ER mechanism is combined with the LH mechanism. The phase diagrams of the surface coverage and the steady state production of CO2, N2 and N2O are evaluated as a function of the partial pressures of the reactants in the gas phase. The continuous production of CO2 starts as soon as the CO pressure is switched on and the second order phase transition at the first critical point is eliminated, which is in agreement with the experimental findings.

In this work,the evolution of a highly unstable m=1 resistive tearing mode,leading to plasmoid formation in a Harris sheet,is studied in the framework of full MHD model using the Non-Ideal Magnetohydrodynamics with Rotation,Open Discussion *** the initial nonlinear growth of the primary m=1 island,the X-point develops into a secondary elongated current sheet that eventually breaks into *** distinctive viscous regimes are found for the plasmoid formation and *** the low viscosity regime(i.e.P_(r)■1),the plasmoid width increases sharply with viscosity,whereas in the viscosity dominant regime(i.e.P_(r)■1),the plasmoid size gradually decreases with *** a finding quantifies the role of viscosity in modulating the plasmoid formation process through its effects on the plasma flow and the reconnection itself.
