Exploitation of the antibacterial,antibiofilm and antioxidant activities of salvadora Persica(Miswak)extract

The salvadora persica(***)*** stick,usually known as miswak,is still being em-ployed as an oral hygiene agent for plaque and gingivitis *** study aims to assess the antibacterial,antibiofilm,antioxidant,and phytochemical profile of *** *** ***-sica was purchased from a local market,grinded and extracted with petroleum *** disk dif-fusion,microdilution,and micro-plate assays were performed to evaluate the antibacterial and an-tibiofilm activities of the prepared extract at different concentrations against𝛽-lactam resistance streptococcus *** radical scavenging 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)and stable radical cationic chromophore,2,2-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate)(ABTs)methods were used to determine their antioxidant *** and spectrometric analyses were performed using gas chromatography-mass(GC-Ms)*** minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of *** extract against𝛽-lactam resistance streptococcus species ranged from 6.25 to 12.5 mg/*** maximum suppression of biofilm formation by *** extract was observed at MIC with a percentage of 68.66%,against streptococcus *** *** ex-tract exhibited antioxidant activity with IC 50 of 20μg/mL and 35μg/mL from DPPH and ABTs,*** phytochemical characterization showed the presence of 22 compounds with ma-jor compounds;benzyl isothiocyanate(36.21%)and n-hexadecanoic acid(27.62%).The *** extract exhibited antibacterial activity against𝛽-lactam resistant streptococcus species,showing a promising natural alternative that could be a treatment option.

Emerging insights into the function of very long chain fatty acids at cerebellar synapses

Very long chain-saturated and-polyunsaturated fatty acids(VLC-sFA and VLC-PUFA, respectively) are a functionally important class of fatty acids containing 28 carbons or more in their acyl chain. They are synthesized by the elongation of very long fatty acids-4(elOVL4) enzyme, expressed mainly in the brain, retina, skin, testes, and meibomian gland, where these fatty acids are found(Agbaga et al., 2008). Further, these organs exhibit tissuespecific VLC-PUFA and VLC-sFA biosynthesis and incorporation into complex lipids for specific functions. In the brain, skin, and Meibomian glands, the elOVL4 mainly makes VLC-sFA, which are incorporated into complex sphingolipids. In the retina, the elOVL4 makes VLC-PUFA that are incorporated into phosphatidylcholine, that are critical for visual function, while in testes and sperm, the VLC-PUFA are incorporated into sphingolipids that are critical for fertility(Yeboah et al., 2021).

Thermospheric neutral winds(TNWs)refer to the neutral gases in the thermosphere circulating as tides,which play a crucial role in the dynamics of the thermosphere-ionosphere system(TIs).Global geospace neutral winds,particularly over the magnetic equator,have been a subject of study for several ***,despite the known importance of neutral winds,a comprehensive understanding and characterization of the winds is still *** ground-based and satellite missions have provided valuable information on the contribution of neutral winds to the global atmospheric ***,efforts in the global monitoring of neutral winds are still lacking,and the drivers behind the behavior of TNWs as well as their influence on the TIs remain *** address these knowledge gaps in the global circulation of TNWs,it is crucial to develop a deep understanding of the neutral wind characteristics over different *** low-latitude equatorial region in particular has been observed to exert complex influences on TNWs because of the unique effects of the Earth’s magnetic field at the dip *** neutral winds over this region will provide valuable insights into the unique dynamics and processes that occur in this region,thereby enhancing our understanding of their role in the overall dynamics of the ***,through empirical observations,an improved ability to accurately model and predict the behavior of this region can be *** review article addresses challenges in understanding equatorial winds by reviewing historical measurements,current missions,and the interactions of ionospheric and thermospheric phenomena,emphasizing the need for comprehensive measurements to improve global atmospheric dynamics and weather forecasting.

Accelerated D-Dimensional Compactified Universe in Gauss-Bonnet-Dilatonic scalar Gravity from D-Brane/M-Theory

We discuss a particular d-dimensional Gauss- Ronnet-dilatonie universe compactified on s^1 motivated from Mtheory. We examine the time-evolution of the dynamical equations where many interesting consequences are revealed and discussed in some details. Under reasonable conditions, the discussed model can provide a mechanism to realize, in higher-dimensions （d 〉 4）, the accelerated expansion of the universe in the presence of dark energy, without the presence of phantom energy and without the contraction of some internal dimension.

Phase Transitions in the Early Universe with Negatively Induced supergravity Cosmological Constant

We consider that the observable cosmological constant is the sum of the vacuum （Avac） and the induced term （Aind - 3m^2/4） with m being the ultra-llght masses （≈ Hubble parameter） implemented in the theory from supergravities arguments and non-minimal coupling. In the absence of a scalar buildup of matter fields, we study its effects on spontaneous symmetry breaking with a Higgs potential and show how the presence of the ultra-light masses yields some important consequences for the early universe and new constraints on the Higgs and electroweak gauge bosons masses.

Charged Randall-sundrum Braneworld Type Ⅱ with Higher Order Curvature Corrections from superstring Arguments and Dominated by Quintessence

We discuss a new class of RsII braneworld cosmology exhibiting accelerated expansion and dominated by quintessence. It is explicitly demonstrated that the universe expansion history （transition from inflation to deceleration epoch to acceleration and effective quintessence era） may naturally occur in such unified theory for some classes of inverse scalar potentials. Besides a decaying effective cosmological constant, the model incorporates an increasing black hole mass, an increasing Maxwellian electrical charge with cosmic time and a time-dependent brahe tension. The cosmological model exhibits several features of cosmological and astrophysical interest for both the early and late universe consistent with recent observations, in particular the ones concerned with the gravitational constants, black holes masses and charges and variation of the gauge coupling parameters with cosmic time. One interesting mark of the constructed model concerns the fact that a black hole mass surrounded by quintessence energy may increase with time even if the horizon disappears.

Gravitational Field as a Pressure Force from Logarithmic Lagrangians and Non-standard Hamiltonians：The Case of s.ellar Halo of Milky Way

Recently,the notion of non-standard Lagrangians was discussed widely in literature in an attempt to explore the inverse variational problem of nonlinear differential *** forms of non-standard Lagrangians were introduced in literature and have revealed nice mathematical and physical *** interesting form related to the inverse variational problem is the logarithmic Lagrangian,which has a number of motivating features related to the Li′enard-type and Emden nonlinear differential *** types of Lagrangians lead to nonlinear dynamics based on non-standard *** this communication,we show that some new dynamical properties are obtained in s.ellar dynamics if standard Lagrangians are replaced by Logarithmic Lagrangians and their corresponding non-standard *** interesting consequence concerns the emergence of an extra pressure term,which is related to the gravitational field suggesting that gravitation may act as a pressure in a strong gravitational *** case of the s.ellar halo of the Milky Way is considered.

We discuss the late-time dynamics of a particular four-dimensional Brans-Dicke cosmology with a dilaton field motivated by string theories （solitonic p-branes or D-branes） in which the dilaton field and the scale factor of the fiat, homogeneous spacetime are correlated. We examine the late-time-evolution of the equations of motion where various attractive consequences are revealed artd discussed in some detail.

Dark energy in five-dimensional Brans-Dicke cosmology with dimensional reduction

We explore a 5D Brans-Dicke scalar cosmology by conjecturing that the four-dimensional Hubble parameter varies as H = εФ^s, ε ∈ R and s is some unknown power index and that the extra-dimensions compactify as the visible dimensions expand as b（t） ≈ a^x （t）, x ∈R^-. We mainly discuss the case x = - 1. For critical values of e close to unity, it was observed that the acceleration of the universe occurs at red- shift close to z = 0.8 which indicates that in our model, accelerated expansion of the universe began only recently. several interesting points are revealed and discussed in some detail.
