Cyber Security within Sm.rt Cities: A Com.rehensive Study and a Novel Intrusion Detection-Based Approach

The expansion of sm.rt cities, facilitated by digital com.unications, has resulted in an enhancem.nt of the quality of life and satisfaction am.ng residents. The Internet of Things (IoT) continually generates vast am.unts of data, which is subsequently analyzed to offer services to residents. The growth and developm.nt of IoT have given rise to a new paradigm. A sm.rt city possesses the ability to consistently m.nitor and utilize the physical environm.nt, providing intelligent services such as energy, transportation, healthcare, and entertainm.nt for both residents and visitors. Research on the security and privacy of sm.rt cities is increasingly prevalent. These studies highlight the cybersecurity risks and the challenges faced by sm.rt city infrastructure in handling and m.naging personal data. To effectively uphold individuals’ security and privacy, developers of sm.rt cities m.st earn the trust of the public. In this article, we delve into the realm. of privacy and security within sm.rt city applications. Our com.rehensive study com.ences by introducing architecture and various applications tailored to sm.rt cities. Then, concerns surrounding security and privacy within these applications are thoroughly explored subsequently. Following that, we delve into several research endeavors dedicated to addressing security and privacy issues within sm.rt city applications. Finally, we em.hasize our m.thodology and present a case study illustrating privacy and security in sm.rt city contexts. Our proposal consists of defining an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based fram.work that allows: Thoroughly docum.nting penetration attem.ts and cyberattacks; prom.tly detecting any deviations from.security standards; m.nitoring m.licious behaviors and accurately tracing their sources; and establishing strong controls to effectively repel and prevent such threats. This paper presents a novel artificial intelligence (AI) based approach to predict crucial m.teorological param.ters such as tem.erature,pressure,and wind speed,typically calculated from.com.utationally intensive weather research and forecasting (WRF) *** m.teorological data is indispensable for sim.lating the release of radioactive effluents,especially in dispersion m.deling for nuclear em.rgency decision support *** of m.teorological conditions during nuclear em.rgencies using the conventional WRF m.del is very com.lex and ***,a new artificial neural network (ANN) based technique was proposed as a viable alternative for m.teorological prediction.A m.lti-input m.lti-output neural network was trained using historical site-specific m.teorological data to forecast the m.teorological *** evaluation of this technique was conducted to test its perform.nce in forecasting various param.ters including atm.spheric pressure,tem.erature,and wind speed com.onents in both East-West and North-South *** perform.nce of developed network was evaluated on an unknown dataset,and acquired results are within the acceptable range for all m.teorological *** show that ANNs possess the capability to forecast m.teorological param.ters,such as tem.erature and pressure,at m.ltiple spatial locations within a grid with high accuracy,utilizing input data from.a single ***,accuracy is slightly com.rom.sed when predicting wind speed *** m.an square error (Rm.E) was utilized to report the accuracy of predicted results,with values of 1.453℃for tem.erature,77 Pa for predicted pressure,1.058 m.s for the wind speed of U-com.onent and 0.959 m.s for the wind speed of *** conclusion,this approach offers a precise,efficient,and wellinform.d m.thod for adm.nistrative decision-m.king during nuclear em.rgencies.

Neuroim.ging has em.rged over the last few decades as a crucial tool in diagnosing Alzheim.r’s disease(AD).m.ld cognitive im.airm.nt(m.I)is a condition that falls between the spectrum.of norm.l cognitive function and ***,previous studies have m.inly used handcrafted features to classify m.I,AD,and norm.l control(NC)*** paper focuses on using gray m.tter(Gm.scans obtained through m.gnetic resonance im.ging(m.I)for the diagnosis of individuals with m.I,AD,and *** im.rove classification perform.nce,we developed two transfer learning strategies with data augm.ntation(i.e.,shear range,rotation,zoom.range,channel shift).The first approach is a deep Siam.se network(DSN),and the second approach involves using a cross-dom.in strategy with custom.zed *** perform.d experim.nts on the Alzheim.r’s Disease Neuroim.ging Initiative(ADNI)dataset to evaluate the perform.nce of our proposed *** experim.ntal results dem.nstrate superior perform.nce in classifying the three binary classification tasks:NC ***,NC ***,and m.I ***,we achieved a classification accuracy of 97.68%,94.25%,and 92.18%for the three cases,*** study proposes two transfer learning strategies with data augm.ntation to accurately diagnose m.I,AD,and norm.l control individuals using Gm.*** findings provide prom.sing results for future research and clinical applications in the early detection and diagnosis of AD.
