Bismuth ferrite perovskite materials have recently attracted great attention because of their unique *** this study,Bi_(1-x)RE_(x)FeO_(3)(RE=La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm;x=0,0.05,0.1)thin films were deposited on glass substrates via low-temperature sol-gel assisted spin coating *** is found that in the presence of light rare-earth ions as the substitutions,the structural,morphological,and optical properties of the thin films are changed in the prepared thin *** find that the thin films have rhombohedral structures,and from field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)images,it is observed that the substitution of light rare-earth ions for Bi^(3+)affects the surface morphology and grain size of the BiFeO_(3)(BFO)thin ***,the optical properties of prepared films were investigated via UV-visible *** all samples,the bandgap energy values are between 1.22 and 1.65 ***,the refractive index and extinction coefficient of samples are about 1.14-1.41 and 0.1-0.6,*** properties of the samples were investigated by measuring the degradation of methylene blue(MB)dye under irradiation of *** find that the light rare-earth substituted BFO thin films have better photocatalytic activity compared to pure BiFeO_(3) thin film,the reason can be described as the band gap varied between 1.20 and 1.65 eV for different rare earth ions which directly influences the photocatalytic properties of the investigated *** is observed that the prepared thin films can remove between 37.18%and 69.14%of dye after 180 min of *** study confirms that prepared thin films are a suitable candidate for photocatalytic applications.

Concrete is one of the most important elements in building ***,concrete used in construction is susceptible to damage due to *** influence of corrosive substances causes changes in the reinforcing steel and affects the strength of the *** repair method is one approach to overcome this *** research aims to determine the effect of grouting and jacketing repairs on corroded *** concrete used has dimensions of 15 cm×15 cm×60 cm with planned corrosion variations of 50%,60%,and 70%.The test objects were tested using the Non-Destructive Testing(NDT)method using Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity(UPV).The test results show that the average speed of normal concrete is 5070 m/s,while the lowest average speed is 3070 m/s on the 70%planned corrosion test *** test object was then given a load of 1600 *** this stage,there is a decrease in speed and wave shape with the lowest average speed obtained at 2753 m/*** repair method is an effort to restore concrete performance by using grouting and *** is done by injecting mortar material into *** involves adding thickness to the existing concrete layer with additional layers of *** improvements were made,there was an improvement in the UPV test,with a peak speed value of 4910 m/*** concrete by filling cracks can improve concrete continuity and reduce waveform distortion,thereby increasing wave propagation speed.

Very long chain-saturated and-polyunsaturated fatty acids(VLC-SFA and VLC-PUFA, respectively) are a functionally important class of fatty acids containing 28 carbons or more in their acyl chain. They are synthesized by the elongation of very long fatty acids-4(ELOVL4) enzyme, expressed mainly in the brain, retina, skin, testes, and meibomian gland, where these fatty acids are found(Agbaga et al., 2008). Further, these organs exhibit tissuespecific VLC-PUFA and VLC-SFA biosynthesis and incorporation into complex lipids for specific functions. In the brain, skin, and Meibomian glands, the ELOVL4 mainly makes VLC-SFA, which are incorporated into complex sphingolipids. In the retina, the ELOVL4 makes VLC-PUFA that are incorporated into phosphatidylcholine, that are critical for visual function, while in testes and sperm, the VLC-PUFA are incorporated into sphingolipids that are critical for fertility(Yeboah et al., 2021).

Micro-expressions(ME)recognition is a complex task that requires advanced techniques to extract informative features fromfacial *** deep neural networks(DNNs)with convolutional structures have been ***,unlike DNNs,shallow convolutional neural networks often outperform deeper models in mitigating overfitting,particularly with small ***,many of these methods rely on a single feature for recognition,resulting in an insufficient ability to extract highly effective *** address this limitation,in this paper,an Improved Dual-stream Shallow Convolutional Neural Network based on an Extreme Gradient Boosting Algorithm(IDSSCNN-XgBoost)is introduced for ME *** proposed method utilizes a dual-stream architecture where motion vectors(temporal features)are extracted using Optical Flow TV-L1 and amplify subtle changes(spatial features)via EulerianVideoMagnification(EVM).These features are processed by IDSSCNN,with an attention mechanism applied to refine the extracted effective *** outputs are then fused,concatenated,and classified using the XgBoost *** comprehensive approach significantly improves recognition accuracy by leveraging the strengths of both temporal and spatial information,supported by the robust classification power of *** proposed method is evaluated on three publicly available ME databases named Chinese Academy of Sciences Micro-expression Database(CASMEII),Spontaneous Micro-Expression Database(SMICHS),and Spontaneous Actions and Micro-Movements(SAMM).Experimental results indicate that the proposed model can achieve outstanding results compared to recent *** accuracy results are 79.01%,69.22%,and 68.99%on CASMEII,SMIC-HS,and SAMM,and the F1-score are 75.47%,68.91%,and 63.84%,*** proposed method has the advantage of operational efficiency and less computational time.

Thedeployment of the Internet of Things(IoT)with smart sensors has facilitated the emergence of fog computing as an important technology for delivering services to smart environments such as campuses,smart cities,and smart transportation *** computing tackles a range of challenges,including processing,storage,bandwidth,latency,and reliability,by locally distributing secure information through end *** of endpoints,fog nodes,and back-end cloud infrastructure,it provides advanced capabilities beyond traditional cloud *** smart environments,particularly within smart city transportation systems,the abundance of devices and nodes poses significant challenges related to power consumption and system *** address the challenges of latency,energy consumption,and fault tolerance in these environments,this paper proposes a latency-aware,faulttolerant framework for resource scheduling and data management,referred to as the FORD framework,for smart cities in fog *** framework is designed to meet the demands of time-sensitive applications,such as those in smart transportation *** FORD framework incorporates latency-aware resource scheduling to optimize task execution in smart city environments,leveraging resources from both fog and cloud *** simulation-based executions,tasks are allocated to the nearest available nodes with minimum *** the event of execution failure,a fault-tolerantmechanism is employed to ensure the successful completion of *** successful execution,data is efficiently stored in the cloud data center,ensuring data integrity and reliability within the smart city ecosystem.
