The current global warming,coupled with the growing demand for energy in our daily lives,necessitates the development of more efficient and reliable energy storage *** batteries(LBs)are at the forefront of emerging power sources addressing these *** studies have shown that integrating hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)nanomaterials into LBs enhances the safety,longevity,and electrochemical performance of all LB components,including electrodes,electrolytes,and separators,thereby suggesting their potential value in advancing eco-friendly energy *** review provides an overview of the most recent applications of h-BN nanomaterials in *** begins with an informative introduction to h-BN nanomaterials and their relevant properties in the context of LB ***,it addresses the challenges posed by h-BN and discusses existing strategies to overcome these limitations,offering valuable insights into the potential of BN *** review then proceeds to outline the functions of h-BN in LB components,emphasizing the molecular-level mechanisms responsible for performance ***,the review concludes by presenting the current challenges and prospects of integrating h-BN nanomaterials into battery research.

Experiment and performance analysis of serpentine-shaped cantilever beam for pipeline vibration-based piezoelectric energy harvester prototype development

Pipelines produce vibrations during fluid or gas *** vibrations are less likely to cause structural failure as they exist with a small magnitude and can be harvested into useful *** paper presents a study on the piezoelectric energy-harvesting method converting mechanical energy from pipeline vibration into electrical *** performance of the serpentine-shaped piezoelectric cantilever beam was observed to check whether the design can produce the highest output voltage within the allowable vibration region of the pipeline from 10 to 300 Hz through finite element analysis using COMsOL Multiphysics software(supplementary Material).In addition,this study investigates the energy-harvesting potential of the proposed design under real pipeline vibration conditions through a lab vibration *** harvested energy output is evaluated based on various vibration frequencies and amplitudes,which gives an idea of the device and its performance under different operating *** experiment result shows that the energy harvester produced an open-circuit voltage of 10.28-15.45 V with 1 g of vibration *** results of this research will contribute to the development of efficient piezoelectric energy harvesters adapted for pipeline environments.

A Measurement study of the Ethereum Underlying P2P Network

This work carried out a measurement study of the Ethereum Peer-to-Peer(P2P)network to gain a better understanding of the underlying *** was applied because it pioneered distributed applications,smart contracts,and ***,its application layer language“solidity”is widely used in smart contracts across different public and private *** this end,we wrote a new Ethereum client based on Geth to collect Ethereum node ***,various web scrapers have been written to collect nodes’historical data fromthe Internet Archive and the Wayback Machine *** collected data has been compared with two other services that harvest the number of *** has collectedmore than 30% more than the other *** data trained a neural network model regarding time series to predict the number of online nodes in the *** findings show that there are less than 20% of the same nodes daily,indicating thatmost nodes in the network change *** poses a question of the stability of the ***,historical data shows that the top ten countries with Ethereum clients have not changed since *** popular operating system of the underlying nodes has shifted from Windows to Linux over time,increasing node *** results have also shown that the number of Middle East and North Africa(MENA)Ethereum nodes is neglected compared with nodes recorded from other *** opens the door for developing new mechanisms to encourage users from these regions to contribute to this ***,the model has been trained and demonstrated an accuracy of 92% in predicting the future number of nodes in the Ethereum network.

Autism spectrum Disorder(AsD)is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by significant challenges in social interaction,communication,and repetitive *** and precise AsD detection is crucial,particularly in regions with limited diagnostic resources like *** study aims to conduct an extensive comparative analysis of various machine learning classifiers for AsD detection using facial images to identify an accurate and cost-effective solution tailored to the local *** research involves experimentation with VGG16 and MobileNet models,exploring different batch sizes,optimizers,and learning rate *** addition,the“Orange”machine learning tool is employed to evaluate classifier performance and automated image processing capabilities are utilized within the *** findings unequivocally establish VGG16 as the most effective classifier with a 5-fold cross-validation ***,VGG16,with a batch size of 2 and the Adam optimizer,trained for 100 epochs,achieves a remarkable validation accuracy of 99% and a testing accuracy of 87%.furthermore,the model achieves an f1 score of 88%,precision of 85%,and recall of 90% on test *** validate the practical applicability of the VGG16 model with 5-fold cross-validation,the study conducts further testing on a dataset sourced fromautism centers in Pakistan,resulting in an accuracy rate of 85%.This reaffirms the model’s suitability for real-world AsD *** research offers valuable insights into classifier performance,emphasizing the potential of machine learning to deliver precise and accessible AsD diagnoses via facial image analysis.

Exploring the thermophysical properties of natural deep eutectic solvents for gas capture applications: a comprehensive review

With the intensifying challenge of global warming driven largely by anthropogenic activities, effective greenhouse gas capture techniques are critical. This paper focuses on the role of deep eutectic solvents(DEs) as promising agents for such capture at the source. We review the key DEs-based methods for greenhouse gas capture, drawing conclusions from a thorough analysis of the existing literature. In particular, we examine the effect of DEs structure on gas solubilities and explore the mechanism of gas solubility in DEs through molecular simulation. We present a synthesis of state-of-the-art results in this area, assessing the potential of DEs as an alternative to current industrial gas capture methods. furthermore, we propose future research directions for the design of novel DEs tailored to more specific applications.

This study introduces the Orbit Weighting scheme(OWs),a novel approach aimed at enhancing the precision and efficiency of Vector space information retrieval(IR)models,which have traditionally relied on weighting schemes like tf-idf and *** conventional methods often struggle with accurately capturing document relevance,leading to inefficiencies in both retrieval performance and index size *** proposes a dynamic weighting mechanism that evaluates the significance of terms based on their orbital position within the vector space,emphasizing term relationships and distribution patterns overlooked by existing *** research focuses on evaluating OWs’s impact on model accuracy using Information Retrieval metrics like Recall,Precision,InterpolatedAverage Precision(IAP),andMeanAverage Precision(MAP).Additionally,we assessOWs’s effectiveness in reducing the inverted index size,crucial for model *** compare OWs-based retrieval models against others using different schemes,including tf-idf variations and *** reveal OWs’s superiority,achieving a 54%Recall and 81%MAP,and a notable 38%reduction in the inverted index *** highlights OWs’s potential in optimizing retrieval processes and underscores the need for further research in this underrepresented area to fully leverage OWs’s capabilities in information retrieval methodologies.

Nowadays, devices are connected across all areas, from intelligent buildings and smart cities to Industry 4.0 andsmart healthcare. With the exponential growth of Internet of Things usage in our world, IoT security is still thebiggest challenge for its deployment. The main goal of IoT security is to ensure the accessibility of services providedby an IoT environment, protect privacy, and confidentiality, and guarantee the safety of IoT users, infrastructures,data, and devices. Authentication, as the first line of defense against security threats, becomes the priority ofeveryone. It can either grant or deny users access to resources according to their legitimacy. As a result, studyingand researching authentication issues within IoT is extremely important. As a result, studying and researchingauthentication issues within IoT is extremely important. This article presents a comparative study of recent researchin IoT security;it provides an analysis of recent authentication protocols from2019 to 2023 that cover several areaswithin IoT (such as smart cities, healthcare, and industry). This survey sought to provide an IoT security researchsummary, the biggest susceptibilities, and attacks, the appropriate technologies, and the most used simulators. Itillustrates that the resistance of protocols against attacks, and their computational and communication cost arelinked directly to the cryptography technique used to build it. furthermore, it discusses the gaps in recent schemesand provides some future research directions.

Green supplier selection is an important debate in green supply chain management(GsCM),attracting global attention from scholars,especially companies and *** frequently search for new ideas and strategies to assist them in realizing sustainable *** of the speculative character of human opinions,supplier selection frequently includes unreliable data,and the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy soft set(IVPfss)provides an exceptional capacity to cope with excessive fuzziness,inconsistency,and inexactness through the decision-making *** main goal of this study is to come up with new operational laws for interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy soft numbers(IVPfsNs)and create two interaction operators-the intervalvalued Pythagorean fuzzy soft interaction weighted average(IVPfsIWA)and the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy soft interaction weighted geometric(IVPfsIWG)operators,and analyze their *** operators are highly advantageous in addressing uncertain problems by considering membership and non-membership values within intervals,providing a superior solution to other ***,specialist judgments were calculated by the MCGDM technique,supporting the use of interaction AOs to regulate the interdependence and fundamental partiality of green supplier assessment ***,a statistical clarification of the planned method for green supplier selection is presented.
