Background:Urban air pollution resulting from economic growth as well as urbanization impacts the health of *** study aims to examine the spatial distribution of particulate matter(PM_(10))and the risk of exposure for the population in the Klang Valley,an urban conglomeration centred in Kuala Lumpur,***:The inverse distance weighted(IDW)interpolation technique in the ArcGIS platform was used to map the air quality from five air monitoring *** statistics of the Global Moran’s I Spatial Autocorrelation and Optimized Hot Spot Analysis were used to estimate the spatial clustering of PM_(10).The population-weighted exposure level(PWEL)technique was used to calculate the population density susceptible to PM_(10)and the AirQ+model was applied to estimate the proportion of the adult population at risk of chronic bronchitis due to long-term exposure to PM_(10)concentrations in the Klang ***:The highest annual mean PM_(10)concentrations at the Klang station ranged between 80 and 100μg/m^(3)from 2000 to 2009 and exceeded the New Malaysia Ambient Air Quality Standard(NMAAQS)and the World Health Organi-zation Air Quality Guidelines(WHOAQG)levels of 40 and 20μg/m^(3),*** Moran’s I results indicated that the statistically significant clusters of high PM_(10)in Klang present a health risk to the local *** PWEL results showed that levels of PM_(10)in Petaling Jaya exceeded the WHOAQG limits,potentially posing a health risk to the high-density *** AirQ+model found Klang to be a significantly high-risk area for chronic bronchitis among the adult population with 804,240 people(with a relative risk of 1.85)in ***:These high-risk values are due to rapid urbanization and high motor vehicle usage in the Klang Valley and therefore the impact of PM_(10)on the population needs to be *** situation should be taken seriously by the Department of Environment and Kuala Lumpur City Hall in addre

MXenes,drawn from MAX phases,are special two-dimensional substances with numerous advantages in nonlinear optics,specifically in giant and ultrashort pulsed-laser ***_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and Ti_(2)CT_(x)nanosheets however rapidly deteriorate under ambient conditions,limiting their *** paper demonstrates how excellent modulation depth of one of the MAX phase compounds vanadium zinc carbide(V_2ZnC)makes it a brilliant saturable absorber(SA)in passively Q-switched all-fiber pulsed lasers,integrated such that a 16.73-μm V_(2)ZnC-polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)thin film acts as SA in the *** and non-saturable absorptions were found to be 13.2%and 10.47%,while saturation optical intensity and modulation depth were 6.25 k W/cm^(2)and 12.43%,respectively,illustrating the optical *** superiority of MAX-PVA,fabricated in four distinct ratios,was demonstrated by the fact that it self-starts a giant pulsed laser at pump power as low as 22.5 mW and firmly accomplished 120.6 kHz repetition rate with a pulse width of 2.08μ*** is a fine SA for the use of pulsed-laser production using all-fiber laser due to fabrication simplicity and great optical,thermophysical,and mechanical qualities.

Acral melanoma(AM)is the most common histologic subtype of melanoma in dark-skinned patients and is associated with a worse prognosis and a high mortality rate,largely due to the inconspicuous nature of early-stage lesions,which can lead to late *** of the overlapping clinical and histopathological features of AM with other forms of cutaneous melanomas,early detection of AM requires a multidisciplinary approach that integrates various diagnostic modalities,including clinical examination,dermoscopy,histopathology,molecular testing,radiological imaging,and blood *** surgery is the preferred method of treatment for AM,other therapeutic options may be employed based on the stage and underlying etiology of the *** checkpoint inhibitors,molecular targeted therapy,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,and oncolytic virotherapy represent promising advanced treatment options for *** this review,we provide an overview of the latest advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic methods for AM,highlighting the importance of early detection and the prompt,individualized management of this challenging disease.

Radiographic Equipment and Accessories as a Potential Source of Nosocomial Infection

Background: Nosocomial infections have become a major challenge in healthcare facilities as they affect the quality of medical care. Radiological imaging plays a crucial role in medical diagnosis. However, the equipment and accessories used increase the risk of transmission of nosocomial bacteria. Objective: This study aims to reveal the extent and nature of microbiological contamination in four hospital diagnostic imaging departments to determine their potential role in the spread of nosocomial bacteria and to evaluate the effectiveness of routine daily disinfection practices in controlling microorganisms in diagnostic imaging departments. Methods & Results: In each department, swabs were taken from the surfaces of selected parts of the equipment and accessories three times a day (early morning, noon, and evening) for five consecutive days. Bacteria were isolated from 65 swabs (36.1% of all samples). The bacteria were isolated 3 times (4.6%) in the morning, 16 times (24.6%) at midday, and 46 times (70.7%) in the evening. The bacteria isolated were Escherichia coli (isolated 34 times;52.3%), Staphylococcus aureus (20 times;30.8%), Staphylococcus epidermidis (6 times;9.3%), and Klebsiella species (5 times;7.7%). Discussion & Conclusion: Findings demonstrated that radiology equipment and accessories are not free of bacteria and further improvements in the sterilization and disinfection of radiology equipment and accessories are needed to protect staff and patients from nosocomial infections.

Surgical Management of Mitral Valve Infective Endocarditis with Accidental Finding of Open Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Objective: This case report aimed to highlight intersections of TB and Cardiovasular diseases which carry high morbidity and mortality rates. Methods: We are reporting the surgical management of forty seven years female who had back ground history of IDDM (Insulin dependent diabetic Mellitus), ESRD (End stage renal disease) on HD (haemodialysis) also she had left subclavian artery stenosis, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. She was diagnosed with mitral valve infective endocarditis and found accidently to have an open pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) on the day before surgery. Results: She was started on first line anti-TB treatment. She was isolated in her private room and airborne precautions measures applied. The patient underwent a tissue Mitral Valve replacement and tricuspid valve repair annuloplasty. Special precautions were applied in Theatre and on cardiopulmonary bypass Machine guided by KAMC-J disinfection protocol. The patient made good recovery postoperatively. She was discharged well on day 7 post operatively. Conclusion: Intersections of TB and cardiovasular diseases carry high morbidity and mortality rates. Early diagnosis and early anti tuberculosis treatment can surely improve the patient prognosis. Our decontamination and disinfective procedures are recommended. Cases like this should be monitored long term for the development of further cardiovascular complication.

Intelligent Deep Transfer Learning Based Malaria Parasite Detection andClassification Model Using Biomedical Image

Malaria is a severe disease caused by Plasmodium parasites,which can be detected through blood smear *** early identification of the disease can effectively reduce the severity *** learning(DL)models can be widely employed to analyze biomedical images,thereby minimizing the misclassification *** this objective,this study developed an intelligent deep-transfer-learning-based malaria parasite detection and classification(IDTL-MPDC)model on blood smear *** proposed IDTL-MPDC technique aims to effectively determine the presence of malarial parasites in blood smear *** addition,the IDTL-MPDC technique derives median filtering(MF)as a pre-processing *** addition,a residual neural network(Res2Net)model was employed for the extraction of feature vectors,and its hyperparameters were optimally adjusted using the differential evolution(DE)*** k-nearest neighbor(KNN)classifier was used to assign appropriate classes to the blood smear *** optimal selection of Res2Net hyperparameters by the DE model helps achieve enhanced classification outcomes.A wide range of simulation analyses of the IDTL-MPDC technique are carried out using a benchmark dataset,and its performance seems to be highly accurate(95.86%),highly sensitive(95.82%),highly specific(95.98%),with a high F1 score(95.69%),and high precision(95.86%),and it has been proven to be better than the other existing methods.

Investigation for Uranium Dispersion Adjacent to Cretaceous Phosphatic Outcrops in Al-Nassrieh Basin, Southern Palmyrides, Syria

A detailed radiometric survey including soil gas radon measurements and field gammaray survey, in accordance with geochemical and geological investigations were carried out in AlNassrieh Basin（central Syria）, for the purpose of uranium exploration. Thirty-six samples were collected from various lithofacies of the survey area and analyzed by γ-ray spectrometric technique for determining the concentration values of major radioelements. The relationships between the concentrations of equivalent e U, e Th, and their ratios were examined in order to define their trend of variations and evaluate the degree of uranium remobilization and redistribution. Although the initial results indicate that uranium enrichment is mostly restricted to the Upper Cretaceous phosphate rocks, a considerable portion of uranium appeared to be leached out of the primary phosphatic source and dispersed in the adjacent recent sediments. Further, notable increases of radon level associated with relatively high values of uranium concentration and gamma count rates were found to be spatially correlated with the transition zone between the marine Paleogene and continental Neogene formations throughout the study basin. This observation demonstrates the importance of the concerned zone as a suitable geological environment for hosting probable uranium mineralization along a chemically reducing interface where surface water of terrestrial and marine origin mingled at depth and away from surficial conditions.
