Application of biopolymer-modified geomaterials in waste disposal practices is gaining wide acceptance due to their superior tensile characteristics and improved crack *** is an important design parameter which determines the suitability of a material as a liner for construction of engineered *** this,the permeability characteristics of sand-bentonite mixtures amended with biopolymers was studied using a modified-falling head permeability apparatus under an accelerated gravity *** distilled water and synthetic leachate were utilized as permeant liquid to assess the role of biopolymer amendment on the permeation behavior of sand-bentonite *** results indicate that addition of biopolymers causes aggregation of the clay platelets,which in turn enhances the permeation behavior of the biopolymer-modified sand-bentonite *** mixtures meet the regulatory requirement of the liner.

In order to examine the possibility to improve its camouflage properties standard cotton fabric with camouflage print was impregnated with poly(vinyl butyral),PVB and fullerene-like nanoparticles of tungsten disulfide,PVB/IF-WS_(2).FTIR analysis excluded any possible chemical interaction of IF-WS_(2) with PVB and the *** camouflage behavior of the impregnated fabric has been examined firstly in the VIS part of the *** reflection,specular gloss and color coordinates were measured for three different shades(black,brown and dark green).Thermal imaging was applied to examine the camouflage abilities of this impregnation in IR part of the *** obtained results show that PVB/IF-WS_(2) impregnation system induced enhacement of the materials camouflage properties,*** IF-WS_(2) have a positive effect on spectrophotometric characteristics of the fabric.

A collocation method based on an extended cubic B-spline function is introduced for the numerical solution of the modified regularized long wave equation. The accuracy of the method is illustrated by studying the single solitary wave propagation and the interaction of two solitary waves of the modified regularized long wave equation.

miniaturization of electronic package leads to high heat density and heat accumulation in electronics device, resulting in short life time and premature failure of the device. Junction temperature and thermal resistance are the critical parameters that determine the thermal management and reliability in electronics cooling. metal oxide field effect transistor（mOSFET）is an important semiconductor device for light emitting diode-integrated circuit（LEd IC） driver application, and thermal management in mOSFET is a major challenge. In this study, investigations on thermal performance of mOSFET are performed for evaluating the junction temperature and thermal resistance. Suitable modifications in FR4 substrates are proposed by introducing thermal vias and copper layer coating to improve the thermal performance of mOSFET. Experiments are conducted using thermal transient tester（T3ster） at 2.0 A input current and ambient temperature varying from25℃ to 75℃. The thermal parameters are measured for three proposed designs： FR4 with circular thermal vias, FR4 with single strip of copper layer and embedded vias, and FR4 with I-shaped copper layer, and compared with that of plain FR4 substrate. From the experimental results, FR4I-shaped shows promising results by 33.71% reduction in junction temperature and 54.19% reduction in thermal resistance. For elevated temperature, the relative increases in junction temperature and thermal resistance are lower for FR4I-shaped than those for other substrates considered. The introduction of thermal vias and copper layer plays a significant role in thermal performance.

A numerical investigation is carried out to study the effect of splitter＇s inclination angle behind an inclined square cylinder on the forced convection heat transfer in a plan channel using the lattice Boltzmann method （LBm）. The simulations are conducted for the pertinent parameters in the following ranges： the Reynolds number Re=50-300, the gap ratio G/d = 2, and the splitter＇s inclination angle 8 = 0°-90°. The results show that with the increase in the angle of the splitter, the drag coefficient initially decreases and then increases. moreover, the time-averaged Nusselt number at a certain angle increases noticeably.
