The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of seed-borne fungal pathogens of jute and their control with plant extract. The experiment was carried out in seed pathology centre, Bangladesh Agricultural University to obtain relevant information about the health of jute seeds and find out the efficacy of extracts as seed-treater. Two varieties viz., Deshipat (Corchorus capsularis) and Tossapat (Corchorus olitorius) were selected for this study and jute seeds were collected from two different locations of Bangladesh. The major predominant identified fungi were Colletotrichum corchori, Macrophomina phaseolina, Fusarium spp., and Botryodiplodia theobromae. Least seed-borne fungi were found in the variety of Tossapat. Low germination of seeds was found related to high prevalence of seed-borne fungal infections. Highest seed-borne infection was obtained in the variety of Deshipat. In this study, we evaluated some major plant extracts such as garlic clove (Allium sativum), neem leaves (Azadirachta indica), allamanda leaves (Allamanda cathartica L.) and marigold leaves (Tagetes spp.) for observing the action of these plant extracts on seed borne fungi of Jute. The study revealed that the extract of Garlic (Allium sativum), and Biskatali (Polygonum hydropiper) increased the germination of seeds and garlic?(Allium sativum) extract was also found to be most effective in controlling the seed-borne infection among all the treatments. Although the inhibiting capacity of the extracts of Allamanda (Allamanda cathartica L.) and Biskatali (Polygonum hydropiper) was found to be similar and Biskatali extract was found to have the second position among all the treated plant extracts in inhibiting the growth of isolated fungal pathogens.

After a large improvement in health care services, Wireless Body Area Sensor Network (WBASN) is used in different fields where health care monitoring can be done continuously and from a distance. Many selected protocols are given in literature work which can improve the performance of WBASN by focusing on delay, routing and energy efficiency. In our research, we will focus on improving throughput, network life time, and decrease end-to-delay. In given research, the two sink nodes utilized and AnyCasting concept will be used. Dual Sinks based Scheme (DSS) for WBASN will be compared with existing DARE, SIMPLE, LAEEBA and M-ATTEMPT protocols. DSS performance found more efficient than DARE, SIMPLE, LAEEBA and M-ATTEMPT respectively in throughput. From results, DSS network life time is greater than DARE, SIMPLE, LAEEBA and M-ATTEMPT with minimum delay. In DSS, energy parameter is in tradeoff with the improved parameters, because of a computation of RSSI which do more process and utilize more energy.

Liquid biopsy in lymphomas: a potential tool for refining diagnosis and disease monitoring

Liquid biopsy consists in a simple blood sampling that allows to analyze cell free DNA (cfDNA), containing specific genomic clues released by the tumor into the bloodstream. In this review, we shall focus on the analysis of cfDNA in lymphoma and, in particular, on its application in the genotyping and monitoring of two common types of B-cell lymphoma, i.e., diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). From a diagnostic standpoint and based upon the current international guidelines, lymphoma diagnosis has so far relied on the analysis of the tissue biopsy. From a molecular viewpoint, though, the tissue biopsy does not reflect the entire molecular heterogeneity of lymphomas. In fact, in an individual patient, lymph nodes at different anatomical sites, as well as different areas of the same lymph node, may show different genetic profiles. Consequently, molecular analysis of genomic DNA extracted from a single lymph node biopsy may not recapitulate the whole mutational landscape of the disease. Liquid biopsy may overcome this hurdle, since cfDNA is released by all tumoral cells and can reveal the entire molecular complexity of lymphomas. From a translational perspective, liquid biopsy may also be used to evaluate clonal evolution, response to therapy and minimal residual disease. Consistently, in DLBCL as well in cHL, the drop of the mutational burden during the treatment course provides complementary information to conventional imaging techniques. The integration of liquid biopsy with imaging techniques may prove useful for a better prediction of patients' outcome and for a better treatment tailoring.

Introduction: Hospital infections prolong patient hospitalization, necessitate additional treatment, increase mortality rate, raise hospital expenses, and even reduce the level of health in the society. The purpose of this research was to study hospital infections in selected hospitals of Qazvin. Methods and Materials: This was an analytic-cross-sectional study. The research population consisted of 25,628 hospitalized patients in the first eight months of 2012 in three selected hospitals of the Qazvin Province. The algorithm of reporting hospital infections, the National Program of Controlling Hospital Infections, and 223 patient files hospitalized due to hospital-acquired infections were used to collect information. The collected information was analyzed using the SPSS V. 17 software;the descriptive statistics was used to analyze the qualitative variables;and the descriptive statistics together with chi-square and t-test were employed for the quantitative variables. Results: The ICU units had the most cases of hospital infections. Respiratory pneumonia and urinary infections topped the list of hospital infections. The most invasive treatments carried out on patients with hospital infections were surgery, urinary catheter, and venous catheter, respectively. More than 50 percent of patients with hospital infections were hospitalized for 2 to 21 days. Results and Conclusions: Because of the high rate of hospital infections, especially in the ICU ward, authorities must give top priority in their plans to designing suitable educational programs to inform hospital staff and patients of hospital infections and to provide suitable resources for dealing with this problem.

电力供应公司在满足预计的能源需求、环境问题、安全性、可靠性和可再生能源一体化方面面临着重大挑战。目前,大多数电网都是基于数十年历史的分级集中式基础设施。电力行业准备从一个集中的由生产者控制的网络转变为一个集中度较低、消费者互动性较高的网络。向智能电网转型有望改变该行业的整个商业模式及其与所有利益相关者的关系,涉及并影响公用事业、监管机构、能源服务提供商、技术和自动化供应商以及所有电力消费者。智能电网通过将互联网的理念、概念和技术引入公用事业和电网使这种转变成为可能。信息和通信技术的进步促使将现有电网转换为智能电网。最近,认知无线电和智能电网是两个受到相当大研究推动的领域。认知无线电是智能软件无线电,可有效利用频谱未使用的区域、实现更高的数据速率。认知无线电网络承诺通过允许未经许可的设备在许可频段中未使用的“频谱空洞”中进行传输而不会对授权用户造成有害干扰,从而解决带宽稀缺问题。本文提出了智能电网中无线网络的认知无线电框架。所提出的认知无线电框架是用于描述智能电网通信网络中的决策和共享程序的认知无线电的完整模型。本研究基于一些最新的通信技术和标准,其中大部分是智能电网环境的认证无线电,使用电视白色空间和802.11af标准的IEEE 802.22的主要候选者。为了制定认知无线电的标准,IEEE802.22工作组于2004年11月成立。相应的IEEE802.22标准定义了用于无线区域网络的物理和媒体访问控制层,其使用在54和862MHz之间的电视频段内,特别是在使用率较低的农村地区。本研究反映了以下几点:1.实时有效地感知主用户频谱的概率,以最佳地利用认知无线电中的频谱;2.验证认知无线电的可行性,以满足数据传输的时间限制(延迟)以使其成为更可靠的通信网络。智能电网基础架构的一个关键和重要组成部分是高级计量基础设施,用于数据收集、控制和监督功能,允许双向数据流,例如实时能源定价和实时需求数据返回给公用事业和运营商。高级计量基础设施具有基于智能仪表、HAN网关、数据集中器和仪表数据管理系统的分层结构。需求响应是高级计量基础设施支持的一项重要智能电网功能,主要用于自动收集客户场所的计量信息,从而降低运营成本。数据集中器作为连接客户端和公用事业公司的桥接设备工作,因此它们携带大量数据,其故障将导致数据丢失,从而导致巨大的经济损失。由于数据集中器的故障,智能仪表和仪表数据管理系统之间的链路将被损坏,这将导致需求估计错误。冗余优化是提高系统可靠性同时降低无法使用的风险成本(即由设备故障引起的经济损失)的有效方法。它以前在电信和其他领域使用过,但不直接用于高级计量基础设施通信基础设施。为了研究高级计量基础设施的冗余优化问题,首先结合需求响应和概率理论,分析数据集中器故障造成的经济损失(即风险成本不可用),以证明需求响应的重要性,估计误差成本与子区域中的用户数量有关。然后,建立冗余优化模型、考虑故障成本、冗余设备投资成本和网络可靠性。最后,采用改进的遗传算法来解决优化问题,以最大限度地减少整个网络的成本,提高每个服务区用户数量的可靠性,以检验该方法的效率。电力网络越来越复杂,需要电力系统控制的新型分散式解决方案。可扩展性是指系统或网络容易扩展或升级以满足日益增长的需求的能力,预计智能电网的发展对实现可扩展性非常有利。传统的高级计量基础设施架构采用集中式操作中心和集中式仪表数据管理系统,这使得该系统不可扩展。该系统需要具有可扩展性,以便随着需求的增加,可以以最小的成本进行扩展,以检查所提出的遗传算法方法的可扩展性。首先,我们假设一个分区,其中用户的数量是不现实的,以证明该方法在智能电网的可靠性方面有所改进。但实际上,当我们为大量用户进行扩展时,由于用户数量庞大,每个分区的经济损失更高。当我们检查大规模数据集(即大量用户)时,可靠性将接近0.99,并且冗余集中器的数量越多,整个网络的成本就越低。

作为21世纪最理想的绿色交通工具之一,城市轨道交通具有快捷高效、安全舒适、节能环保、运量大、占地少等优点。轨道交通项目投资将直接影响到城市产业经济的发展,影响到城市的布局与规模、产业结构和就业。随着我国城镇化进程的加快,轨道交通已逐渐成为了有效破解城市交通拥堵难题、实现城市绿色发展的重要途径。然而,从目前我国城市轨道交通项目的运营情况来看,却普遍面临融资困难、运营亏损等尴尬局面,每年需要大量的政府财政补贴才能维持其正常的运营。作为准公共产品,城市轨道交通具有很强的正外部性,它在促进区域经济发展与社会就业等方面的贡献却无法在财务上体现。因此,本研究将基于外部性理论,通过阐述城市轨道交通投资乘数效应的形成机理,构建了项目建设投资的投入产出计量模型,并以长沙市地铁2号线为例,定量评价了城市轨道交通项目建设投资对区域经济与社会就业的积极影响。实证结果表明,城市轨道交通项目投资对其它产业经济拉动的投资乘数为4.8158,长沙地铁2号线一期工程和西延线一期工程建设投资将带来GDP增值679.388亿元,实现新增就业机会18.6万人,从而进一步验证了城市轨道交通具有显著的正外部性特征。在此基础上,本研究还提出了相关政策建议。本研究扩展了投资乘数理论的应用范围,为城市轨道交通项目投资的科学决策提供了参考,同时也为政府相关补贴政策的出台提供了依据。

The polycrystalline LixNi0.2Zn0.8-2xFex+2O4 and LixNi0.1Cu0.1Zn0.8-2xFex+2O4 (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3) ferrites were synthesized by the standard solid-state reaction method. The compound was sintered at 1150˚C for 5 hours. The effect of Cu substitution and its impact on the crystal structure, microstructure, complex initial permeability and magnetization of the Ni-Zn ferrites were studied. The effect of Li+ incorporation on the properties mentioned above was also investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns of the samples indicated a single cubic spinel structure for both the compound. No effect of Cu addition on crystal structure was observed. The density of the ferrites was found to be enhanced because of adding Li whereas the porosity of the samples decreased with the content of Li ions. The average value of grain size increased with the addition of Li content. The samples having Cu ions formed bigger size grains. Frequency-dependent complex initial permeability, loss tangent, and relative quality factor were studied at room temperature using an Impedance analyzer in the range of 100 Hz - 120 MHz regions. In the low-frequency region, the prepared samples exhibited a high value of permeability and after a certain frequency, the permeability falls. The value of permeability enhanced with the increase in Li whereas loss tangent was found to be reduced. The relative quality factor graphs described that the compound has excellent frequency stability up to a certain frequency which is suitable to be used in inductors, resistors, capacitors, etc. Initial permeability for LixNi0.1Cu0.1Zn0.8-2xFex<
