Stability analysis of a fractional-order monkeypox epidemic model with quarantine and hospitalization

The monkeypox epidemic has become a global health issue due to its rapid transmission involving nonhuman-to-human transmission in nonendemic *** actions,such as quarantine,vaccination,and hospitalization,have been implemented by worldwide *** the relatively high cost and strict implementation of vaccination,our focus lies on quarantine and *** this paper,we study the monkeypox epidemic involving quarantine and hospitalization through fractionalorder mathematical *** proposed model considers six classes of human populations(susceptible,exposed,infected,quarantined,hospitalized,and recovered)and three classes of nonhuman populations(susceptible,exposed,and infected).The basic properties of the model have been investigated,and its equilibrium points have been obtained,namely monkeypox-free,nonhuman-free endemic,and *** have derived the basic reproduction numbers for human-to-human and nonhuman-tononhuman transmissions,denoted as R0h and R0n *** existence and stability(both locally and globally)of each equilibrium point depend on R0h and R0n relative to *** performed calibration and forecasting of the model on the weekly monkeypox case data of the human population in the United States of America from June 1 to September 23,*** findings indicate that the fractional-order model shows better calibration and forecasting compared to the corresponding firstorder model based on the root mean square ***,the best-fitting model calibration indicates R0=maxfR0h;R0ng>1,suggesting the potential for endemic conditions in ***,the best forecasting shows R0<1,possibly due to various policies such as *** the relative cost and stringency of vaccination implementation for monkeypox control,we perform numerical simulations and sensitivity analyses on the basic reproduction number,particularly focusing on the impact of quarantine and hospitalization *** and

A Nonstandard Finite Difference Scheme for SIS Epidemic Model with Delay: Stability and Bifurcation Analysis

A numerical scheme for a SIS epidemic model with a delay is constructed by applying a nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) method. The dynamics of the obtained discrete system is investigated. First we show that the discrete system has equilibria which are exactly the same as those of continuous model. By studying the distribution of the roots of the characteristics equations related to the linearized system, we can provide the stable regions in the appropriate parameter plane. It is shown that the conditions for those equilibria to be asymptotically stable are consistent with the continuous model for any size of numerical time-step. Furthermore, we also establish the existence of Neimark-Sacker bifurcation (also called Hopf bifurcation for map) which is controlled by the time delay. The analytical results are confirmed by some numerical simulations.

Propagation of Spatial Soliton in Gaussian Waveguide with Nonlocal Nonlinearity

Propagation of spatial soliton in a waveguide with Gaussian linear refractive index profile (Gaussian waveguide) and nonlocal nonlinearity is investigated. It is shown analytically by equivalent particle approach that in a Gaussian waveguide with local nonlinearity, the soliton oscillates in transverse direction periodically and symmetrically. The present of nonlocal nonlinearity disturbs the soliton oscillation. For weak nonlocal nonlinearity, the soliton still oscillates but asymmetrically. Furthermore the waveguide shows an asymmetric behavior in the sense that a soliton initially launched at a position deviating to the left or to the right side of the waveguide center causes different propagation properties. Stronger nonlocal nonlinearity leads to an exiting soliton from the waveguide. In other words the soliton does not show an oscillatory behavior. The dynamics of soliton are simulated numerically using an implicit Crank-Nicolson scheme and good agreements between our analytical and numerical studies are achieved.

Break Up of <i>N</i>-Soliton Bound State in a Gradient Refractive Index Waveguide with Nonlocal Nonlinearity

We study the propagation of N-soliton bound state in a triangular gradient refractive index waveguide with nonlocal nonlinearity. The study is based on the direct numerical solutions of the model and subsequent eigenvalues evolution of the corresponding Zakharov-Shabat spectral problem. In the waveguide with local nonlinearity, the velocity of a single soliton is found to be symmetric around zero and therefore the soliton oscillates periodically inside the waveguide. If the nonlocality is presence in the medium, the periodic motion of soliton is destroyed due to the soliton experiences additional positive acceleration induced by the nonlocality. In the waveguide with the same strength of nonlocality, a higher amplitude soliton experiences higher nonlocality effects, i.e. larger acceleration. Based on this soliton behavior we predict the break up of N-soliton bound state into their single-soliton constituents. We notice that the splitting process does not affect the amplitude of each soliton component.

Artificial ground freezing of underground mines in cold regions using thermosyphons with air insulation

Current practice of underground artificial ground freezing(AGF)typically involves huge refrigeration systems of large economic and environmental *** this study,a novel AGF technique is proposed deploying available cold wind in cold *** is achieved by a static heat transfer device called thermosyphon equipped with an air insulation layer.A refrigeration unit can be optionally integrated to meet additional cooling *** introduction of air insulation isolates the thermosyphon from ground zones where freezing is not needed,resulting in:(1)steering the cooling resources(cold wind or refrigeration)towards zones of interest;and(2)minimizing refrigeration *** design is demonstrated using well-validated mathematical models from our previous work based on two-phase enthalpy method of the ground coupled with a thermal resistance network for the *** Canadian mines are considered:the Cigar Lake Mine and the Giant *** results show that our proposed design can speed the freezing time by 30%at the Giant Mine and by two months at the Cigar Lake ***,a cooling load of 2.4 GWh can be saved at the Cigar Lake ***,this study provides mining practitioners with sustainable solutions of underground AGF.

Leukemia is one of the ten types of cancer that causes the biggest death in the *** to other types of cancer,leukemia has a low life expectancy,so an early diagnosis of the cancer is necessary.A new strategy has been developed to identify various leukemia biomarkers by making blood cancer biosensors,especially by developing nanomaterial applications so that they can improve the performance of the *** many biosensors have been developed,the detection of leukemia by using nanomaterials with electrochemical and optical methods is still less carried out compare to other types of cancer *** the acoustic and calorimetric testing methods for the detection of leukemia by utilizing nanomaterials have not yet been carried *** of the reviewed works reported the use of gold nanoparticles and electrochemical characterization methods for leukemia detection with the object of study being conventional cancer *** order to be used clinically by the community,future research must be carried out with a lot of patient blood objects,develop non-invasive leukemia detection,and be able to detect all types of blood cancer specifically with one *** can lead to a fast and accurate diagnosis thus allowing for early treatment and easy periodic condition monitoring for various types of leukemia based on its biomarker and future design controlable via internet of things(IoT)so that why would be monitoring real times.

In this decade,coal fly ash(CFA)is considered a potential secondary source of rare earth elements(REEs).However,most REEs in coal fly ash are encapsulated in aluminosilicate glass,making it challenging to recover them through acid *** this study,a sequential alkaline-organic acid leaching was developed for the recovery of REEs from *** effect of alkaline leaching using NaOH solution on the destructive ability of aluminosilicate glass,as well as the mineralogy and morphology changes of the resulting coal fly ash,was first ***,the effectiveness of alkaline leaching on the recovery ability of REEs through organic acid leaching was *** results show that the maximum leaching efficiency for Si and Al,which was obtained at the optimum alkaline leaching conditions,namely NaOH concentration of 10 mol/L,reaction temperature of 65℃,liquid/solid(L/S)ratio of 10 mL/g,and reaction time of 90 min,is 28%and 32%,*** digestion reaction with NaOH lixiviants also causes coal fly ash to become more porous,making it advantageous in the organic acid-leaching process at the REEs recovery *** utilization of the desilicated residue produced from the digestion process in acid leaching effectively increases the overall REEs recovery from 32.2%to 77.6%.

Objective:To improve the quality of post-thawing Boer buck semen for artificial insemination by adding green tea extract chitosan nanoparticles to skimmed egg yolk diluent,and the proper thawing ***:The ejaculate of Boer buck was added to skimmed egg yolk diluent without(the control group)and with adding 1μg of chitosan nanoparticles of green tea extract per mL of diluent(the treatment group).Then,the diluted semen was filled in French mini straws containing 60×106 live sperm per straw,frozen in a standard protocol,and stored as frozen semen at−196℃for a *** replicates from each group were diluted for 30 s at 37℃or 39℃sterile water to evaluate the semen ***:Post-thawing(at 37℃or 39℃)of live sperm,progressive motility,and plasma membrane integrity were lower compared to those of the pre-freezing stage(P0.05).The live sperm,progressive motility,and plasma membrane of the treatment group in the pre-freezing stage,and post-thawed at 39℃were higher compared to those of the control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Higher quality post-thawing Boer buck semen is achieved by adding 1μg/mL of chitosan nanoparticles of green tea extract to the skimmed egg yolk diluent and thawing at 39℃.
