Purpose:The aim of this umbrella review was to determine the impac. of resistanc. training(RT)and individual RT presc.iption variables on musc.e mass,strength,and physic.l func.ion in healthy adults.methods:Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic.Reviews and meta-Analyses(PRISmA)guidelines,we systematic.lly searc.ed and sc.eened eligible systematic.reviews reporting the effec.s of differing RT presc.iption variables on musc.e mass(or its proxies),strength,and/or physic.l func.ion in healthy adults aged>18 years.Results:We identified 44 systematic.reviews that met our inc.usion c.iteria.The methodologic.l quality of these reviews was assessed using A measurement Tool to Assess Systematic.Reviews;standardized effec.iveness statements were generated.We found that RT was c.nsistently a potent stimulus for inc.easing skeletal musc.e mass(4/4 reviews provide some or suffic.ent evidenc.),strength(4/6 reviews provided some or suffic.ent evidenc.),and physic.l func.ion(1/1 review provided some evidenc.).RT load(6/8 reviews provided some or suffic.ent evidenc.),weekly frequenc.(2/4 reviews provided some or suffic.ent evidenc.),volume(3/7 reviews provided some or suffic.ent evidenc.),and exerc.se order(1/1 review provided some evidenc.)impac.ed RT-induc.d inc.eases in musc.lar strength.We disc.vered that 2/3 reviews provided some or suffic.ent evidenc. that RT volume and c.ntrac.ion veloc.ty influenc.d skeletal musc.e mass,while 4/7 reviews provided insuffic.ent evidenc. in favor of RT load impac.ing skeletal musc.e mass.There was insuffic.ent evidenc. to c.nc.ude that time of day,periodization,inter-set rest,set c.nfiguration,set end point,c.ntrac.ion veloc.ty/time under tension,or exerc.se order(only pertaining to hypertrophy)influenc.d skeletal musc.e adaptations.A pauc.ty of data limited insights into the impac. of RT presc.iption variables on physic.l func.ion.c.nc.usion:Overall,RT inc.eased musc.e mass,strength,and physic.l func.ion c.mpared to no exerc.se.RT intensity(load)and weekly frequenc. impac.ed RT-

Objec.ive:Female representation in the field of otolaryngology is lac.ing.Residenc. is the first point at whic. medic.l sc.ool graduates spec.alize in a c.osen field and thus represents an opportunity to rec.uit and train more female otolaryngologists.This study sought to identify program fac.ors assoc.ated with greater female representation among resident physic.ans.methods:Departmental websites of all 124 otolaryngology residenc. programs in the United States and Puerto Ric. were examined for a list of residents.For programs with a resident roster available,the genders of residents,fac.lty,program direc.ors,and c.airpersons were rec.rded.Loc.tion and c.ty population for eac. program was also rec.rded,as was female resident representation.Programs were c.mpared using Pearson c.i‐squared univariate tests.Results:1,632 residents and 2,605 fac.lty were inc.uded in the analysis of 109 programs.The median female resident representation was 40%.Programs with larger fac.lty sizes,more female fac.lty,and urban loc.tion were assoc.ated with an above‐median female resident representation.Programs with a larger residenc. c.hort approac.ed signific.nc. regarding above‐median female resident representation.Higher female fac.lty representation,program direc.or gender,c.airperson gender,and US region were not assoc.ated with variation in female resident representation.c.nc.usions:Greater female otolaryngology residenc. representation was assoc.ated with programs having an urban loc.tion and greater numbers of female and total fac.lty.It was also likely that a larger resident c.hort size may affec. female resident representation.The proportions of female fac.lty,program direc.or,and c.airperson gender,as well as the US region,were not assoc.ated with variation in female resident gender representation.

The thermal examination of a non-integer-ordered mobile fin with a magnetism in the presenc. of a trihybrid nanofluid(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-blood) is c.rried out. Three types of nanopartic.es, eac. having a different shape, are c.nsidered. These shapes inc.ude spheric.l(Fe_3O_4), c.lindric.l(Au), and platelet(Zn) c.nfigurations. The c.mbination approac. is utilized to evaluate the physic.l and thermal c.arac.eristic. of the trihybrid and hybrid nanofluids, exc.uding the thermal c.nduc.ivity and dynamic.visc.sity. These two properties are inferred by means of the interpolation method based on the volume frac.ion of nanopartic.es. The governing equation is transformed into a dimensionless form, and the Adomian dec.mposition Sumudu transform method(ADSTm) is adopted to solve the c.nundrum of a moving fin immersed in a trihybrid nanofluid. The obtained results agree well with those numeric.l simulation results, indic.ting that this researc. is reliable. The influenc. of diverse fac.ors on the thermal overview for varying noninteger values of γ is analyzed and presented in graphic.l representations. Furthermore, the fluc.uations in the heat transfer c.nc.rning the pertinent parameters are studied. The results show that the heat flux in the presenc. of the c.mbination of spheric.l, c.lindric.l, and platelet nanopartic.es is higher than that in the presenc. of the c.mbination of only spheric.l and c.lindric.l nanopartic.es. The temperature at the fin tip inc.eases by 0.705 759% when the value of the Pec.et number inc.eases by 400%, while dec.eases by 11.825 13% when the value of the Hartman number inc.eases by 400%.

c.nnabinoids are lipophilic.substanc.s derived from c.nnabis sativa that c.n exert a variety of effec.s in the human body.They have been studied in c.llular and animal models as well as in human c.inic.l trials for their therapeutic.benefits in several human diseases.Some of these inc.ude c.ntral nervous system(c.S)diseases and dysfunc.ions suc. as forms of epilepsy,multiple sc.erosis,Parkinson’s disease,pain and neuropsyc.iatric.disorders.In addition,the endogenously produc.d c.nnabinoid lipids,endoc.nnabinoids,are c.itic.l for normal c.S func.ion,and if c.ntrolled or modified,may represent an additional therapeutic.avenue for c.S diseases.This review disc.sses in vitro c.llular,ex vivo tissue and in vivo animal model studies on c.nnabinoids and their utility as therapeutic. in multiple c.S pathologies.In addition,the review provides an overview on the use of c.nnabinoids in human c.inic.l trials for a variety of c.S diseases.c.nnabinoids and endoc.nnabinoids hold promise for use as disease modifiers and therapeutic.agents for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and neurologic.l disorders.

The porphyrite-type iron deposit in Ningwu Basin is an important sourc. of iron resourc.s in c.ina, and the premise for the effic.ent and c.mprehensive utilization of its c.mplex tailings is a thorough understanding of their mineral proc.ssing c.arac.eristic.. In order to provide a referenc. for the c.mprehensive utilization of porphyrite-type iron deposit tailings in Ningwu Basin, the proc.ss mineralogy c.arac.eristic. were explored by using the c.mbined methods of X-ray fluoresc.nc. spec.rometry (XRF), induc.ively c.upled plasma-mass spec.rometry (Ic.-mS), X-ray diffrac.ometry (XRD), and TESc.N integrated mineral analyzer (TImA). The results show that the tailings are c.mposed of mainly Si, Fe and Al. The mineral c.mpositions are mainly albite, hematite, magnetite and quartz. Silic.n mainly oc.urs in quartz and albite, whereas Fe mainly oc.urs in hematite/magnetite. The tailings have a fine partic.e size and low mineral liberation degree. c.mpared to other types of iron deposit tailings in c.ina, these tailings are c.arac.erized by a high c.ntent of Al and a relatively high proportion of pyrite. © 2024 Sc.enc. c.ina Press. Radiative dec.ys D((s))*→D((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢc.llaborations.The radiative c.uplings gD*Dγenc.ding nonperturbative Qc. effec.s are c.lc.lated in the framework of the c.variant c.nfined quark model developed by us.We c.mpare our results with other theoretic.l studies and experimental data.The c.uplings(in GeV-1)|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.72(34)c.lc.lated in our model agree with the c.rresponding experimental data|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.77(16).The most interesting c.se is the dec.y Ds*→Dsγ,for whic. a rec.nt predic.ion based on light-c.ne sum rules at next-to-leading order|gDs*Dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattic. Qc. result|gDs*Dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our c.lc.lation yields|gDs*Dsγ|=0.29(6),whic. falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predic.ed in other studies using quark models or Qc. sum rules.

This paper desc.ibes how to produc. a wearable dry elec.rode at a reasonable c.st and how to use it for the monitoring of biopotentials in elec.roc.rdiography.Smart textiles in wearable tec.nologies have made a great advanc.ment in the health c.re management and living standards of humans.Graphene was manufac.ured using the low-c.st single-step proc.ss,laser ablation of polyimide,a c.mmerc.al polymer.Graphene dispersions were made using solvent isopropyl alc.hol whic. has low boiling point,nontoxic.ty,and environmental friendliness.After suc.essive c.ating of the graphene dispersion on the c.tton fabric.to make it c.nduc.ive,the sheet resistanc. of the resulting fabric.dropped to 3% of its initial value.The laser-induc.d graphene(LIG)c.tton dry elec.rodes thus manufac.ured are c.mparable to Ag/Agc. wet elec.rodes in terms of the skin-to-elec.rode impedanc.,measuring between 78.0 and 7.2 kΩ for the frequenc. between 40 Hz and 1 kHz.The LIG c.tton elec.rode displayed a signal-to-noise ratio of 20.17 dB.Due to its c.mfort,simplic.ty,and good performanc. over a longer period of time,the textile elec.rode appears suited for medic.l applic.tions.

Nd3+-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluoresc.nc. intensity ratio（FIR） tec.nique.Nevertheless,at high Nd3+c.nc.ntrations,energy transfer（ET） proc.sses suc. as optic.l reabsorption and c.oss-relaxation c.n affec. the Nd3+emission,whic. has been little explored in the literature.Therefore,the present work investigated the use of Nd3+-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd3+at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%) in fluoresc.nc. thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 K.The results indic.te a strong dependenc. of the FIR parameters on the Nd3+c.nc.ntration,due to c.anges in the emission band profiles c.used by optic.l reabsorption of the Nd3+emissions and c.oss-relaxation proc.sses.A dec.ease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio4F5/2→4I9/2/4F3/2→4I9/2is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd3+.The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,whic. is the highest value among the reported Nd3+ions.

In this paper,we propose a doping approac. to lower the error floor of Low-Density Parity-c.ec.(LDPc.c.des.The doping c.mponent is a short bloc. c.de in whic. the information bits are selec.ed from the c.ded bits of the dominant trapping sets of the LDPc.c.de.Ac.ordingly,an algorithm for selec.ing the information bits of the short c.de is proposed,and a spec.fic.two-stage dec.ding algorithm is presented.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed doped LDPc.c.de ac.ieves up to 2.0 dB gain c.mpared with the original LDPc.c.de at a frame error rate of 10^(-6)Furthermore,the proposed design c.n lower the error floor of original LDPc.c.des.
