Second harmonic generation and sum frequency generation(SHG and SFG)provide effective means to realize coherent light at desired frequencies when lasing is not easily *** have found applications from sensing to quantum optics and are of particular interest for integrated photonics at communication *** the footprints of nonlinear components while maintaining their high up-conversion efficiency remains a challenge in the miniaturization of integrated *** we explore lithographically defined AlGaInP nano(micro)structures/Al_(2)O_(3)/Ag as a versatile platform to achieve efficient SHG/SFG in both waveguide and resonant cavity configurations in both narrow-and broadband infrared(IR)wavelength regimes(1300-1600 nm).The effective excitation of highly confined hybrid plasmonic modes at fundamental wavelengths allows efficient SHG/SFG to be achieved in a waveguide of a cross-section of 113 nm×250 nm,with a mode area on the deep subwavelength scale(λ2/135)at fundamental ***,we demonstrate direct visualization of SHG/SFG phase-matching evolution in the *** together with mode analysis highlights the origin of the improved SHG/SFG *** also demonstrate strongly enhanced SFG with a broadband IR source by exploiting multiple coherent SFG processes on 1μm diameter AlGaInP disks/Al_(2)O_(3)/Ag with a conversion efficiency of 14.8%MW^(−1) which is five times the SHG value using the narrowband IR *** both configurations,the hybrid plasmonic structures exhibit>1000 enhancement in the nonlinear conversion efficiency compared to their photonic *** results manifest the potential of developing such nanoscale hybrid plasmonic devices for state-of-the-art on-chip nonlinear optics applications.

BACKGROUND Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma is a rare non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,occurring mostly in the *** develops slowly and leads to malignant proliferation of lymphoid line cells in the bone marrow,lymph nodes and *** may also affect nerve roots and meninges;some patients develop sensorimotor polyneuropathy which may precede general symptoms of *** SUMMARY We present a case of a 36-year-old man diagnosed in 2012 with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy(CIDP),then he was hospitalized in 2019 due to progressive symptoms of heart failure and significant weight loss over the previous four *** on clinical and laboratory findings a diagnosis of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma was suspected and confirmed by bone marrow flow *** was no improvement in the results of laboratory tests and the patient's condition after immediate implementation of *** died on the fifth day of *** While CIDP and malignant disease co-occurrence is rare,it should be suspected and investigated in patients with atypical neuropathy symptoms.

Site-Floristic Variability of Foxteil Meadows in Poland

On the basis of multifaceted investigations of approximately 600 phytosociological surveys of foxtail meadows taken in years 2002-2012 in river valleys with the assistance of the Braun-Blanquet method, the authors carried out evaluation of the floristic composition with respect to phytosociological structure, floristic variability, degree of synanthropisation and life form structures. In addition, they ascertained the dependence of floristic variability of Alopecuretum pratensis phytocenoses on site conditions determined using： the phytoindication method and the laboratory analyses assessed the soil content of available forms of P and K and of Mg. The greatest areas among the recognised syntaxons are taken up by patches of a typical sub-association developed in fresh sites on soils of lightly acid reaction and moderate nitrogen availability. Floristic variability of Alopecuretum pratensis is characterised by： presence in the phytosociological structure of species characteristic for other syntaxons, floristic abundance and botanical structure, domination of species of the 1 st and 2nd degree of stability, high proportion of synanthropic species, values of the floristic diversity index （H＇）, natural and fodder score values. Geobotanical variability of foxtail meadows confirms difficulties with unequivocal determination of the systematic position of the Alopecuretum pratensis association.

The Effect of Utilisation on the Floristic Composition of Meadow Communities

This study presents research results which comprise the following selected communities： Phalaridetum arundinaceae, Alopecuretum pratensis, community with Deschampsia caespitosa, Holcetum lanati, Lolio-Cynosuretum, community Poa pratensis-Festuca rubra. The investigated phytocenoses developed in conditions of lack of utilisation, occasional cutting, occasional alternating meadow-pasture utilisation, pastures with uncut left-overs, 2 cuts and light grazing of the sward by cattle and 2-3 cuts. For the above-mentioned communities the following parameters were assessed： total species number and mean number of species in a phytosociological rel6ves besides Shannon-Wiener diversity index （H＇）, proportion of synanthropic species, natural valorisation number according to Ogwit and fodder value score （FVS）. Regular sward utilisation of plant communities exerts a positive impact not only on the natural values as evidenced by the total and mean number of species in a phytosociological survey and higher biodiversity index （H＇） but it also impacts the sward fodder value scores of meadows and pastures. The strongest negative influence on the floristic composition of meadow communities and their stability is exerted by sporadic, incorrect utilization as it favours taking over of green areas by grass expansive species and development of communities of low natural and use values （community with Deschampsia caespitosa, Ass. Holcetum lanati and community with Agropyron repens）. The strongest impact on the maintenance of meadow and pasture biological stability in the examined region is exerted by their regular, moderate cutting or grazing.

Framework for Extensible Application Testing

In recent years large corporations as well as smaller commercial enterprises have begun to devote increased attention to software testing and software quality. This paper introduces a novel tool—the Framework for Extensible Application Testing (FEAT), implemented by the author and applicable for automatic generation and execution of test cases. The paper discusses system requirements, design, architecture and modes of operation. It also contains a detailed comparison of the FEAT framework with existing test environments, focusing in particular on the STAF/STAX framework. The final section is devoted to experimental research into the applicability and efficiency of the presented tools in various projects and configurations, as reflected by quality metrics.

Genomic prediction of seasonal forage yield in perennial ryegrass

Background:Genomic selection has the potential to accelerate genetic gain in perennial ryegrass breeding,provided complex traits such as forage yield can be predicted with sufficient ***:In this study,we compared modelling approaches and feature selection strategies to evaluate the accuracy of genomic prediction models for seasonal forage yield ***:Overall,model selection had limited impact on predictive ability when using the full data *** a baseline genomic best linear unbiased prediction model,the highest mean predictive accuracy was obtained for spring grazing(0.78),summer grazing(0.62)and second cut silage(0.56).In terms of feature selection strategies,using uncorrelated single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)had no impact on predictive ability,allowing for a potential decrease of the data set *** a genome-wide association study,we found a significant SNP marker for spring grazing,located in the genic region annotated as coding for an enzyme responsible for fucosylation of xyloglucans—major components of the plant cell *** also presented an approach to increase interpretability of genomic prediction models with the use of Gene Ontology enrichment ***:Approaches for feature selection will be relevant in development of low-cost genotyping platforms in support of routine and cost-effective implementation of genomic selection.

Mass Spectrometric Investigation of the Chemical Composition of Caramel Formed upon Heating of Disaccharides

Disaccharides are a very important group of carbohydrates, being main components of many daily food products. The heating of these biomolecule causes the formation of caramel, an extremely complex material. The dominant fraction of non-volatile compounds, responsible for both color and flavor of food products, has been studied on a few occasions. Herein, the composition of caramels obtained by heating of sucrose, lactose and maltose were studied using combined mass spectrometry techniques. High resolution electrospray mass spectrometry was applied followed by targeted multi-stage LC-tandem mass spectrometry （ESI-MSn） and MALDI-MS. Novel graphical interpretation strategies such as van Krevelen and Kendrick mass analysis have been applied to study the composition of caramels. Products of caramel include oligomerization, depolymerization, hydration and dehydration products. Oligomers with up to eight carbohydrate units and dehydrated oligomers losing up to eight water molecules have been identified.

ETR1 Integrates Response to Ethylene and Cytokinins into a Single Multistep Phosphorelay Pathway to Control Root Growth

Cytokinins and ethylene control plant development via sensors from the histidine kinase(HK)***,downstream signaling pathways for the key phytohormones are *** we report that not only cytokinin but also ethylene is able to control root apical meristem(RAM)size through activation of the multistep phosphorelay(MSP)*** found that both cytokinin and ethylene-dependent RAM shortening requires ethylene binding to ETR1 and the HK activity of *** receiver domain of ETR1 interacts with MSP signaling intermediates acting downstream of cytokinin receptors,further substantiating the role of ETR1 in MSP *** revealed that both cytokinin and ethylene induce the MSP in similar and distinct cell types with ETR1-mediated ethylene signaling controlling MSP output specifically in the root transition *** identified members of the MSP pathway specific and common to both hormones and showed that ETR1-regulated ARR3 controls RAM ***1-mediated MSP spatially differs from canonical CTR1/EIN2/EIN3 ethylene signaling and is independent of EIN2,indicating that both pathways can be spatially and functionally ***,we demonstrated that canonical ethylene signaling controls MSP responsiveness to cytokinin specifically in the root transition zone,presumably via regulation of ARR10,one of the positive regulators of MSP signaling in Arabidopsis.
