The Internet of Things(IoT)is a smart networking infrastructure of physical devices,i.e.,things,that are embedded with sensors,actuators,software,and other technologies,to connect and share data with the respective server *** IoTs are cornerstones in different application domains,the device’s authenticity,i.e.,of server(s)and ordinary devices,is the most crucial issue and must be resolved on a priority ***,various field-proven methodologies were presented to streamline the verification process of the communicating devices;however,location-aware authentication has not been reported as per our knowledge,which is a crucial metric,especially in scenarios where devices are *** paper presents a lightweight and location-aware device-to-server authentication technique where the device’s membership with the nearest server is subjected to its location information along with other ***,Media Access Control(MAC)address and Advance Encryption Scheme(AES)along with a secret shared key,i.e.,λ_(i) of 128 bits,have been utilized by Trusted Authority(TA)to generate MaskIDs,which are used instead of the original ID,for every device,i.e.,server and member,and are shared in the offline ***,TA shares a list of authentic devices,i.e.,server S_(j) and members C_(i),with every device in the IoT for the onward verification process,which is required to be executed before the initialization of the actual communication ***,every device should be located such that it lies within the coverage area of a server,and this location information is used in the authentication process.A thorough analytical analysis was carried out to check the susceptibility of the proposed and existing authentication approaches against well-known intruder attacks,i.e.,man-in-the-middle,masquerading,device,and server impersonations,etc.,especially in the IoT ***,proposed authentication and existing state-of-the-art approaches have been s

BACKGROUND The introduction of modern diagnostic tools has transformed the field of maxillofacial *** infection and fascial space involvement have been evaluated with many diagnostic tools,including ultrasonography(USG)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).AIM To explore USG as an alternative model to MRI in the detection of fascial space spread of odontogenic *** Among 20 patients,50 fascial spaces were clinically diagnosed with odontogenic infection and included in this prospective *** space infection involvement was examined by USG and *** were compared for both and confirmed by microbiological *** Ultrasonography identified 42(84%)of 50 involved fascial *** MRI identified all 50(100%).USG could stage the infections from edematous change to cellulitis to complete abscess *** MRI was superior in recognizing deep fascial space infections compared to ***, USG is a significant addition and has a definite role in prognosticatingthe stage of infection and exact anatomic location in superficial space infections.

Supersymmetric hybrid inflation in light of CMB experiments and swampland conjectures

In this study,we revisit supersymmetric(SUSY)hybrid inflation within the context of considering the latest Cosmic Microwave Background(CMB)observations and swampland *** demonstrate that SUSY hybrid inflation remains consistent with Planck 2018 data when radiative,soft mass,and supergravity(SUGRA)corrections are applied to the scalar *** is commonly perceived that SUSY hybrid inflation with a minimal Kahler potential results in a gauge symmetry breaking scale M of O(10^(15))GeV,leading to issues with the proton decay *** our analysis,we introduce a novel parameter space that alleviates the proton decay issue by achieving M~10^(16) GeV with M_(S)^(2)*** scenario necessitates a soft SUSY breaking scale|M_(S)|■10^(6) ***,we find that the tensor-to-scalar ratio r spans from 10^(-16) to 10^(-6),indicating a very small *** small ratio allows the modified swampland criteria to hold,although satisfying the trans-Planckian censorship conjecture(TCC)remains *** address this,we also explo non-minimal Kahler *** fixing the spectral index at n_(S)=0.9665,consistent with the central value of Planck 2018 data,and setting M=2×10^(16)GeV,we present our *** show that the canonical measure of primordial gravitational waves,r,for M_(S)=1 TeV,m_(3/2)=1 TeV,and k_(S)<0 for N=1 and N=2,ranges from 10^(-5) to 0.01,rendering it detectable by Planck and upcoming experiments such as LiteBIRD,Simons Observatory,PRISM,PIXIE,CORE,CMB-S4,and ***,we outline the parametric space and provide benchmark points for the non-minimal case to ensure compatibility with both the modified swampland conjecture and TCC.

Conservation laws for partially conservative variable mass dynamical systems under symmetric infinitesimal transformations are determined. A generalization of Lagrange-d ＇Alembert＇s principle for a variable mass system in terms of asynchronous virtual variation is presented. The generalized Killing equations are obtained such that their solution yields the transformations and the associated conservation laws. An example illusstrative of the theory is furnished at the end as well.

We use the Schrödinger–Newton equation to calculate the regularized self-energy of a particle using a regular self-gravitational and electrostatic potential derived in string *** particle mass M is no longer concentrated into a point but is diluted and described by a quantum-corrected smeared energy density resulting in corrections to the energy of the particle,which is interpreted as a regularized *** extend our results and find corrections to the relativistic particles using the Klein–Gordon,Proca and Dirac *** important finding is that we extract a form of the generalized uncertainty principle(GUP)from the corrected *** form of the GUP is shown to depend on the nature of particles;namely,for bosons(spin 0 and spin 1)we obtain a quadratic form of the GUP,while for fermions(spin 1/2)we obtain a linear *** correlation we find between spin and GUP may offer insights for investigating quantum gravity.

We demonstrated a new type of MAX phase material,chromium titanium aluminum carbide(Cr_(2)TiAlC_(2)) polymer film,to generate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL).The film thickness was measured to be around 45 μm,which was fabricated using the embedding method with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) polymer as *** saturable absorber(SA) film demonstrates a dual-wavelength passively Q-switched EDFL which operates at 1 531 nm and 1 560.19 nm,*** Q-switching pulse duration could be varied from 2.46 μs to 770 ns,while the repetition rate varied from 92.76 kHz to 106.6 kHz with an increasing input pumping range from 154 mW to 300 *** maximum output power and pulse energy of 15.05 mW and 141.18 nJ were obtained at the maximum input power of 300 mW,respectively.

Developing cost-effective and high-performance catalyst systems for dry reforming of methane(DRM)is crucial for producing hydrogen(H_(2))***,we investigate using iron(Fe)as a promoter and major alumina support in Ni-based catalysts to improve their DRM *** addition of iron as a promotor was found to add reducible iron species along with reducible NiO species,enhance the basicity and induce the deposition of oxidizable *** incorporating 1 wt.%Fe into a 5Ni/10ZrAl catalyst,a higher CO_(2) interaction and formation of reducible"NiO-species having strong interaction with support"was observed,which led to an∼80%H_(2) yield in 420 min of Time on Stream(TOS).Further increasing the Fe content to 2 wt.%led to the formation of additional reducible iron oxide species and a noticeable rise in H_(2) yield up to 84%.Despite the severe weight loss on Fe-promoted catalysts,high H_(2) yield was maintained due to the proper balance between the rate of CH_(4) decomposition and the rate of carbon deposit ***,incorporating 3 wt.%Fe into the 5Ni/10ZrAl catalyst resulted in the highest CO_(2) interaction,wide presence of reducible NiO-species,minimumgraphitic deposit and an 87%H_(2) *** findings suggest that ironpromoted zirconia-alumina-supported Ni catalysts can be a cheap and excellent catalytic system for H_(2) production via DRM.
