Is Breast Background Parenchymal Enhancement on MRI Related to BI-RADS Score and Follow-Up Rate?

Objective: We investigated the correlations between background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) and MRI interpretations with respect to short-interval follow-ups and biopsy rates. Methods: All accessible MRI examinations from 128 women during a limited time period in 2016 were evaluated. A blinded radiologist visually categorized BPE as minimal, mild, moderate, or marked. A BI-RADS category was also assigned. We used descriptive statistics to report the findings and chi-square and Fisher’s exact tests to compare categories. Results: Prevalence of minimal, mild, moderate, and marked BPE was 14.1%, 43.0%, 32.0%, and 10.9%, respectively. The short-interval follow-up rates were 22.2%, 27.3%, 26.8%, and 7.1% in women with minimal, mild, moderate, and marked BPE, respectively. BPE was not associated with the short-interval follow-up rate (p-value = 0.477). Biopsy rates were 22.2%, 27.3%, 22.0%, and 57.1% in women with minimal, mild, moderate, and marked BPE, respectively. Although there was no significant relationship between biopsy rates and BPE levels (p-value = 0.095) in the total population, these two factors were significantly associated in premenopausal women (p-value = 0.023) and in women of 30 - 39 years (p-value = 0.001). Conclusion: Higher BPE does not correlate with short-interval follow-up rates, but appears to be related to biopsy rate, thus causing false-positives and unnecessary biopsy recommendations, particularly in younger, premenopausal women.

Granulomatous lobular mastitis(GLM) is a rare and chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast. Difficulties exist in the management of GLM for many front-line surgeons and medical specialists who care for patients with inflammatory disorders of the breast. This consensus is summarized to establish evidence-based recommendations for the management of GLM. Literature was reviewed using PubMed from January 1, 1971 to July 31, 2020. Sixty-six international experienced multidisciplinary experts from 11 countries or regions were invited to review the *** of evidence were determined using the American College of Physicians grading system, and recommendations were discussed until consensus. Experts discussed and concluded 30 recommendations on historical definitions,etiology and predisposing factors, diagnosis criteria, treatment, clinical stages, relapse and recurrence of GLM. GLM was recommended as a widely accepted definition. In addition, this consensus introduced a new clinical stages and management algorithm for GLM to provide individual treatment strategies. In conclusion, diagnosis of GLM depends on a combination of history, clinical manifestations, imaging examinations, laboratory examinations and *** approach to treatment of GLM should be applied according to the different clinical stage of GLM. This evidencebased consensus would be valuable to assist front-line surgeons and medical specialists in the optimal management of GLM.

Middle Jurassic palynomorphs of the Dalichai Formation, central Alborz Ranges, northeastern Iran:Paleoecological inferences

Palynological data are used to draw paleoecological inferences for the Dalichai Formation,northeast of Semnan,northeastern *** samples examined yield well-preserved,diverse palynofloras consisting predominantly of miospores;dinoflagellate cysts,foraminiferal test linings,and fungal spores occur as minor ***-four species of spores(37 genera),18species of pollen(9 genera),and 16 species of dinoflagellate cysts(13 genera)are ***-occurrence of such miospore species with known vertical ranges as Klukisporites variegatus,Sellaspora asperata,Murospora florida,and Concavissimisporites verrucosus suggests a Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian)age for the host strata,thus corroborating the available paleozoological *** spore species as Klukisporites,Cyathidites,and Dictyophyllidites known to have been produced by Pterophyta dominate the *** the contemporaneous coastal vegetation was characterized by predominance of Pterophyta whereas representatives of Ginkgophyta,Pteridospermophyta,Lycophyta,Coniferophyta,and Bryophyta were rarely *** reconstruction implies that a moist,warm climate prevailed in northeastern Iran during the Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian).This is confirmed by occurrence of fungal spores accompanied by such warm water dinoflagellate cysts as Mendicodinium groenlandicum,Pareodinia ceratophora,and Gonyaulacysta *** of Amorphous Organic Matter(AOM)signifies a shallow,low-energy,dysoxic-anoxic depositional site for the host ***,the ratio of AOM to marine palynomorphs as well as abundance of blade-shaped to eqiudimensional opaque palynomacerals could indicate low sedimentation rate in a shallow,low-oxygenated marine ***,occurrence of chorate dinoflagellate cysts(e.g.,Adnatosphaeridium caulleryi)and acritarchs bearing relatively long processes(e.g.,Micrhystridium)possibly suggests deepening upward in the study section.

Solvent-less synthesis of zinc oxide nanostructures from Zn(salen) as precursor and their optical properties

ZnO nanoparticles, 10-20 nm in size, were synthesized by heat treatment in air at 500 ℃ for 5 h., using [N,N＇-bis（salicylaldehydo） ethylene diamine]zinc（II）, i.e., Zn（salen）, as precursor, which was obtained by a solvent-flee solid-solid reaction. Heat-treated products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Room temperature photoluminescence spectra of ZnO nanostructures are dominated by green emission attributed to oxygen vacancy related donor-acceptor transition.

An efficient method for the synthesis of 14-alkyl or aryl 14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthene derivatives by the reaction of β-naphthol,and aldehydes in the presence of a catalytic amount of bismuth（Ⅲ） chloride（BiCl_3） under solvent-free conditions at 110℃is *** and aromatic aldehydes were used in the reaction and in all cases the desired products were synthesized *** reaction was studied under different temperatures;the maximum yield was obtained in a short reaction period at 110℃.The method offers the advantages of high yields,short reaction times,simplicity and easy workup compared to the conventional method of syntheses.

Evaluating the different boundary conditions to simulate airflow and heat transfer in Double-Skin Facade

The CFD simulation accuracy mostly depends on the appropriate setting of boundary conditions and numerical simulation *** study shows the influence of two types of boundary condition settings on the CFD simulation results of Double-Skin Facade(DSF)for a specific *** two boundary settings are the constant temperature on the DSF surfaces called Boundary A,and Boundary B is defined via solar radiation using the Discrete Ordinate radiation Model(DOM).The paper verified both the numerical simulations using the experimental *** the numerical results of two types of boundaries with experimental data shows that both cases underestimated the values lower than 5.2 K and 0.1 m/s for the temperature and velocity respectively at the regarded measured *** A gives more accurate temperature prediction results,while Boundary B shows velocity magnitude closer to the measurements in the middle height of the cavity;the average temperature and velocity differences between the two boundary types are 0.6 K and 0.003 m/s respectively which are ***,the selection of boundary conditions depends on study purposes,however,when the DSF is equipped with blinds and if there is not enough data in hand but the exact value of solar irradiation,using the Boundary B approach is suggested;it can provide reasonable results associated with multi-type of thermal boundary conditions at the same ***,if the goal is to investigate the flow pattern in the DSF,Boundary B is argued to perform better than the constant temperature boundary condition.

This research aimed to investigate the effect of pulping conditions and refining intensities of wheat straw to be recommended for fluff pulp *** this purpose,mono ethanol amine(MEA)was selected as a de-lignification agent at three levels of 50:50,25:75,and 15:85(MEA/water,W/V%),and soda-AQ 14 W/V%was used as a reference *** investigate the optimal refining intensity,the obtained pulp was passed through a single disk laboratory refiner from 0 to 6 times and in two different consistencies(1.5 and 2.5 W/V%).Total yield,kappa number,ash content,and the Schopper-Riegler(SR°)freeness of the prepared pulps were ***,hand sheets with a targeted basic weight of 70 g/m^(2) were made according to the related *** hand sheets were characterized using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy and a field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM).Sheet density,brightness,and mechanical properties such as burst,tensile,and tear indices were also *** FE-SEM photographs showed that the texture of the hand sheet became denser as the refining intensity *** fibrillation on the surface of the fibers was also observed,especially on those refined with 2.5%*** results of the chemical composition of wheat straw indicated that wheat straw containing a high percentage of holocellulose is an excellent candidate for the production of fluff *** total yield and kappa number of MEA pulps increased with the decrease in MEA *** results indicated the presence of a peak related to amino groups in the pulp related to MEA *** results also indicated that the mechanical properties of the papers,except for the tear index,were enhanced as the intensity of refining and the pulp consistency during refining increased.
