Previous literature showed mixed results about the impact of CEOs’financial literacy(CFL)on small and medium-sized enterprises’(SMEs)*** relationship can be motivated by relevant variables,which are missing in the previous literature and make a difference as *** this sense,based on the theoretical framework related to upper echelon theory and resource-based view,this study focuses on the mediating effect of risk-taking attitude and management control systems(MCS)*** data from 310 SMEs gathered using a qualitative research questionnaire are analyzed using structural equation modeling ***,estimations are carried out considering the partial least square *** show that MCS and managers’risk attitudes fully mediate the relationship between financial literacy(FL)and *** these two mediating variables,the implementation of MCS stands out because it also enables the mediating effect of CEOs’risk-taking in the CFL–technological innovation *** the results do not support the significant direct relationship between FL and risk attitude,they confirm an indirect effect through ***,based on the study findings,SMEs’directors and owners,business associations,and public authorities can improve SMEs’technological innovation by implementing training programs and policies to foster *** can also acknowledge the interdependency between organizational factors and individual characteristics to enhance SMEs’technological innovation.

Oncolytic viruses(OVs)are at the forefront of biologicals for cancer *** represent a diverse landscape of naturally occurring viral strains and genetically modified viruses that,either as single agents or as part of combination therapies,are being evaluated in preclinical and clinical *** the field gains momentum,the research on OVs has been shifting efforts to expand our understanding of the complex interplay between the virus,the tumor and the immune system,with the aim of rationally designing more efficient therapeutic ***,the potential of an OV platform is no longer defined exclusively by the targeted replication and cancer cell killing capacities of the virus,but by its contribution as an immunostimulator,triggering the transformation of the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(TME)into a place where innate and adaptive immunity players can efficiently engage and lead the development of tumor-specific long-term memory *** we review the immune mechanisms and host responses induced by ssRNA(-)(negative-sense single-stranded RNA)viruses as OV *** focus on two ssRNA(-)OV candidates:Newcastle disease virus(NDV),an avian paramyxovirus with one of the longest histories of utilization as an OV,and influenza A(IAV)virus,a well-characterized human pathogen with extraordinary immunostimulatory capacities that is steadily advancing as an OV candidate through the development of recombinant IAV attenuated platforms.

A series of lanthanide materials of type LnOCl or Ln2O3(Ln = Eu, Nd) were successfully prepared via a convenient and straightforward two-step procedure. Firstly, and by using chitosan and PS-co-P4 VP as polymeric supports, macromolecular complexes of type chitosan ·LnCl3and PS-co-P4 VP·LnCl3 were prepared. These macro molecular complexes were treated in solid state at 800 ℃ under air, leading to the corresponding LnOCl or Ln2O3materials(Ln = Eu, Nd) with moderate to good yields. The nature of the asprepared lanthanide materials(LnOCl and/or Ln2O3) is strongly influenced by the polymeric template(i.e.,chitosan or PS-co-P4 VP), the lanthanide salt precursor, and the polymer/lanthanide molar ratio. Thus, when chitosan · EuCl3and PS-co-P4 VP·EuCl3are used as macromolecular precursors, a mixture of crystalline phases of both EuOCl and Eu2O3are obtained. However, when chitosan· NdCl3and PS-co-P4 VP· NdCl3are used, a sole pure crystalline phase of NdOCl is obtained. The nano structured lanthanide materials were characterized by means of XRD(X-ray diffraction of powder), SEM, EDS, TEM, and HRTEM. The luminescent spectra of the asprepared EuOCI/Eu2O3mixture materials show an emission pattern whose intensity is strongly influenced by the nature of the polymeric precursor, as well as on the metal/polymer molar ratios.

AIM： To determine the clinical, analytical and endoscopic factors related to ischemic colitis （IC） severity. METHODS： A total of 85 patients were enrolled in a retrospective study from January 1996 to May 2004. There were 53 females and 32 males （age 74.6 ± 9.4 years, range 45-89 years）. The patients were diagnosed as IC. The following variables were analyzed including age, sex, period of time from the appearance of symptoms to admission, medical history, medication, stool frequency, clinical symptoms and signs, blood tests （hemogram and basic biochemical profile）, and endoscopic findings. Patients were divided in mild IC group and severe IC group （surgery and/or death）. Qualitative variables were analyzed using chi-square test and parametric data were analyzed using Student＇s t test （P 〈 0.05）. RESULTS： The mild IC group was consisted of 69 patients （42 females and 27 males, average age 74.7 ± 12.4 years）. The severe IC group was composed of 16 patients （11 females and 5 males, average age of 73.8 ± 12.4 years）. One patient died because of failure of medical treatment （no surgery）, 15 patients underwent surgery （6 after endoscopic diagnosis and 9 after peroperatory diagnosis）. Eight of 85 patients （9.6%） died and the others were followed up as out-patients for 9.6 ± 3.5 mo. Demographic data, medical history, medication and stool frequency were similar in both groups （P 〉 0.05）. Seriously ill patients had less hematochezia than slightly ill patients （37.5% vs 86.9%, P = 0.000）. More tachycardia （45.4% vs 10.1%, P = 0.011） and a higher prevalence of peritonism signs （75% vs 5.7%, P = 0.000） were observed in the severe IC group while the presence and intensity of abdominal pain were similar between two groups. Two patients with severe IC had shock when admitted. Regarding analytical data, more seriously ill patients were found to have anemia and hyponatremia than the mildly ill patients （37.5% vs 10.1%, P = 0.014 and 46.6% vs 14.9%, P = 0.012, respectively）. In this paper,we analyse an analytical solution of the Einstein–Maxwell field equations that considers matter with anisotropic pressures in a static and spherically symmetric *** report the manner in which we obtained the solution,which is by means of the Karmarkar *** the model,we assume a state equation that describes the interaction of matter from quarks P=(c^(2)ρ-4B_(g))/3 and we consider the presence of electric charge,which can generate that the radial and tangential pressures are not *** a graphic manner,we analyse the physical properties of the model,taking as the observational data those of mass 1M⊙and radius7.69 km which were reported for the star Her *** charge values are found between 5.57×10^(18)C≤Q≤1.31×10^(20)C and the interval of the Bag constant Bg∈[118.7,122.13]MeV/fm^(3).Also,we show the stability of the configuration by means of the static stability criteria of Harrison–Zeldovich–Novikov((?M)/?ρc>0),as well as in regards to infinitesimal radial adiabatic perturbation,since the adiabatic indexγ>3.3 which guarantees the stability of the solution.
