Stability of three-dimensional printable foam concrete as function of surfactant characteristics

Extrudability is one of the most critical factors when designing three-dimensional printable foam *** extrusion process likely affects the foam stability which necessitates the investigation into surfactant properties particularly for concrete mixes with high foam *** many studies have been conducted on traditional foam concrete in this context,studies on three-dimensional printed foam concrete are *** address this research gap,the effects of surfactant characteristics on the stability,extrudability,and buildability of three-dimensional printed foam concrete mixes with two design densities(1000 and 1300 kg/m^(3))using two different surfactants and stabilizers(synthetic-based sodium lauryl sulfate stabilized with carboxymethyl cellulose sodium salt,and natural-based hingot surfactant stabilized with xanthan gum)were investigated in this *** density tests were conducted before and after the extrusion to determine stability of the foam *** results were then correlated with surfactant qualities,such as viscosity and surface tension,to understand the importance of key parameters in three-dimensional printing of foam *** on the experimental results,surfactant solu1tion with viscosity exceeding 5 m Pa·s and surface tension lower than 31 mN/m was recommended to yield stable three-dimensional printable foam concrete ***,the volume of foam in the mix significantly affected the printability *** traditional foam concrete,the variation in the stabilizer concentration and density of concrete were found to have insignificant effect on the fresh-state-characteristics(slump,slump flow,and static yield stress)and air void microstructure of the stable mixes.

Three-dimensional concrete printing(3DCP)can proliferate the industrialization of the construction sector,which is notoriously conservative and indolent toward ***,the mechanical behavior of 3DCP should be characterized and modeled considering the interfaces when its performance is thoroughly compared to that of the existing concrete construction *** study presents an experimental and numerical investigation of uniaxial compression and three-point bending(TPB)tests on extruded 3DCP beams in different loading *** orientation of translational and depositional interfaces with respect to the direction of loading influenced the *** the elastic and post-damage behavior of the 3DCP specimens were compared with those of the conventionally cast specimen under quasi-static loading *** the higher compressive strength of the casted specimen,the flexural strength of the 3DCP specimens was *** study employed the finite element and cohesive zone models of the appropriate calibrated traction-separation law to model fracture in the notched TPB ***,the real-time acoustic emission test revealed the nature of failure phenomenon of three-dimensional-printed specimens under flexion,and accordingly,the cohesive law was *** predicted load-displacement responses are in good agreement with the experimental ***,the effects of cohesive thickness and notch shape on the performance under bending were explored through parametric studies.

Community-acquired multidrug-resistant pneumonia,bacteraemia,and infective endocarditis:A case report

BACkGROUND The prevalence of multidrug-resistant(MDR)bacteria has increased globally,with extensive drug-resistant(XDR)bacteria posing a threat to *** SUMMARY This case report describes a young man admitted for suspected tropical fever infections who experienced rapid deterioration in *** negative results for tropical fever infections,he had neutrophilic leucocytosis,acute kidney injury,and chest imaging findings suggestive of bilateral *** day two,he was diagnosed with infective endocarditis with possible rheumatic heart disease and MDR methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia,and communityacquired *** treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics,he did not respond and succumbed to death on day *** This case highlights that clinicians/public should be aware of MDR communityacquired pneumonia,bacteraemia,and endocarditis which ultimately culminate in high rates of morbidity and *** identification of pathogenic strain and prompt antibiotic treatment are a mainstay for the management and prevention of early ***,route cause analysis of communityacquired MDR/XDR pathogens is a global need.

Controlling Remote Robots Based on Zidan’s Quantum Computing Model

In this paper,we propose a novel algorithm based on Zidan’s quantum computing model for remotely controlling the direction of a quantumcontrolledmobile robot equippedwith *** proposed algorithm is based on the measurement of concurrence value for the different movements of the *** a faraway robot that moves in the deep space(e.g.,moves toward a galaxy),and it is required to control the direction of this robot from a ground station by some person *** sends an unknown qubitα|0)+β|1)via the teleportation protocol to the ***,the proposed algorithm decodes the received unknown qubit into an angleθ,that determines the motion direction of the robot,based on the concurrence *** proposed algorithm has been tested for four and eight *** simulators have been tested;IBM Quantum composer and IBM’s system,The two simulators achieved the same result *** motion of any part of the robot is considered,if it has a pre-existing sensor system and a locomotive system,.We can use this technique in many places like in space robots(16 directions).The results show that the proposed technique can be easily used for a huge number of ***,increasing the number of movements of the robot will increase the number of qubits.

Variability of waste copper slag concrete and its effect on the seismic safety of reinforced concrete building: A case study

Proven research output on the behavior of structures made of waste copper slag concrete can improve its utilization in the construction industry and thereby help to develop a sustainable built *** numerous studies on waste copper slag concrete can be found in the published literature,no research has focused on the structural application of this type of *** particular,the variability in the strength properties of waste copper slag concrete,which is required for various structural applications,such as limit state design formulation,reliability-based structural analysis,etc.,has so far not attracted the attention of *** paper quantifies the uncertainty associated with the compressive-,flexural-and split tensile strength of hardened concrete with different dosages of waste copper slag as fine ***-fit probability distribution models are proposed based on statistical analyses of strength data generated from laboratory *** addition,the paper presents a reliability-based seismic risk assessment of a typical waste copper slag incorporated reinforced concrete framed building,considering the proposed distribution *** results show that waste copper slag can be safely used for seismic resistant structures as it results in an identical probability of failure and dispersion in the drift demand when compared with a conventional concrete building made of natural sand.

Catalytic performances of kaoline and silica alumina in the thermal degradation of polypropylene

Polypropylene was cracked thermally and catalytically in the presence of kaoline and silica alumina in a semi batch reactor in the temperature range 400℃～550℃ in order to obtain suitable liquid *** dependencies between process temperatures,types of catalyst,feed compositions and product yields of the obtained fuel fractions were *** was observed that up to 450℃ thermal cracking temperature,the major product of pyrolysis was liquid oil and the major product at other higher temperatures(475℃～550℃) are viscous liquid or wax and the highest yield of pyrolysis product is 82.85% by weight at 500℃.Use of kaoline and silica alumina decreased the reaction time and increased the yield of liquid *** the major pyrolysis product in catalytic pyrolysis at all temperatures was low viscous liquid *** alumina was found better as compared to kaoline in liquid yield and in reducing the reaction *** maximum oil yield using silica alumina and kaoline catalyst are 91% and 89.5% *** the basis of the obtained results hypothetical continuous process of waste polypropylene plastics processing for engine fuel production can be presented.

Fatty acids of Pleurotus florida mushroom:Potential molecules for blood glucose control

In Vitro-In Vivo antidiabetic effect of Pleurotus florida mycelia was evaluated using enzymes,yeast cell and in streptozotocin induced type 2 diabetic(T2D)animal *** mycelia was prepared by submerged fermentation *** fungal biomass was organically extracted using mixture of ethanol and *** extractives yield of 14.3%w/w was obtained in hydroalcoholic solvent with dielectric constant-δvalue of 78.2(EX78).*** mycelia extract(EX 78)shows higher antioxidant power with 86.87%free radical scavenging activity and with 75.29 reducing ***-vitroα-amylase inhibition,α-glucosidase inhibition and glucose uptake activity of EX 78 shows higher *** *** mycelia extract(EX 78)is also found to be effective in controlling of blood glucose and insulin level in streptozotocin-nicotinamide induced T2D *** blood glucose was reduced to 216±6.21 mg/dl from 357±0.34 mg/dl and the insulin level was increased to 0.423±0.006 ng per mL from 0.164±0.03 ng/mL in *** treated *** higher fatty acids,C20-eicosane;C24-tetracosane and C30-squalene present in *** mycelium extract was found to be effective in inhibiting human intestinalα-glucosidase and pancreaticα-*** *** mushroom is found to be effective in controlling high blood glucose elevated liver and cardiac *** of this mushroom is suitable for controlling blood glucose level in person with hyperglycaemia.
