The motivation behind this paper is a sequence Sn of generalized Szasz operators using multiple Appell *** purpose of the present paper is to find the image of the polynomials under these *** find that as n→∞,S_(n)(t^(m);x)approaches to x^(m)for every m∈***,We prove the image of a polynomial of degree m under these operators is another polynomial of degree m by using the linearity of these operators.

Major load centres of India are located at northern part and western–southern part of country,whereas most of the generating units are concentrated at eastern and North-eastern *** transmission of bulk power over a long distance is a basic requirement for which ultra-high voltage AC(UHVAC)transmission system is identified as a feasible solution resulting in reduced transmission loss and reduced corridor width(right of way),protection of precious flora and *** this,Powergrid Corporation of India along with Central Power Research Institute had made a call for indigenous development of UHVAC *** a result,1200 kV UHVAC National Test Station is developed in India at *** 400/1200 kV bay is successfully charged,along with one 1200 kV single circuit and one 1200 kV double-circuit test transmission *** study deals with the study of on-site acceptance test such as sweep frequency response analysis,frequency-domain spectroscopy(FDS),along with inrush current measurement,voltage withstand test,corona measurement,thermo-vision scanning conducted on-site at no load,to ensure the performance of transmission system.A brief review of technical studies related to UHVAC technology developed throughout the World is also *** power transmission at 1200 kV is a feasible and viable option but further research is required in this area to make UHV transmission a global success.

Degradation of pendimethalin by microorganisms is an approach seeking more attention *** study aims to isolate a new strain of Planococcus,which is capable of degrading pendimethalin from the soil in rice *** of this coccus bacterium was done by phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene *** PD6 was found to grow potentially on pendimethalin supplemented minimal salt medium and degraded 50 mg L^(-1) pendimethalin in monosubstrate *** transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy was performed to check degradation of pendimethalin by Planococcus,which was demonstrated by changing chemical bonding and stretching *** study was further extended to predict possible first enzyme of pendimethalin-degradation *** docking was performed to check efficient binding of dehydrogenase with *** strain of Planococcus degraded pendimethalin with relatively high efficiency in minimal salt media and is presented as another possible bacterium other than species of Bacillus and Pseudomonas which are already demonstrated as potential in vitro pendimethalin-degrading ***,docking reveals that dehydrogenases having more chance to prove as first regulatory enzyme of pendimethalin-degradation pathway.

The Shankargarh forest area is rich in silica, a major mineral used in glass industry. Extensive open cast silica mining has severely damaged the forest as well as productivity of the region. An understand- ing of the impact of mining on the environment particularly on vegetation characteristics is a prerequisite for further management of these mining sites, especially in the selection of species for reclamation works. The present paper deals with the study of the tree composition of silica mining area of Shgankargarh forest, at both disturbed and undisturbed sites. Tree vegetation study was conducted at undisturbed and disturbed sites of Shankargarh forests using standard quadrate method. Density, abundance and frequency values of tree species were calculated. Species were categorized into different classes according to their frequency. The importance value index （IVI） for each species was determined. Species diversity, Concentration of dominance, Species richness and Evenness index were calculated for the undisturbed and disturbed siteS. The distribution pattern of the species was studied by using Whifford＇s index. Similarity index between tree composition of disturbed and undisturbed sites was determined by using Jaccard＇s and Sorenson＇s index of similar- ity. Tree species showed a drastic reduction in their numbers in disturbed sites compared to that of the undisturbed sites. The phytosociological indices also illustrated the impact of mining on the tree composition of the area. The present study led to the conclusion that resultant tree vegetation analysis can be used as important tool for predicting the suitability of particular species for revegetating the mined areas.

Sulfamic acid（SA） is a bi-functional, cost-effective and reusable green catalyst for the synthesis of 4-（pyrazol-4-yl）methylenepyrazol-5（4H）-one derivatives by one-pot, three-component condensation of pyrazol-4-carbaxaldehydes, b-ketoesters and phenyl hydrazine（Route-I）. In addition to this method,another simple condensation of pyrazol-4-carbaxaldehydes with pyrazolone in the presence of SA under the solvent-free condition in good yield is reported. The merits of these protocols are mild conditions,non-aqueous workup, high yields, easy availability of the catalyst, no chromatographic separation and inexpensive solid acid catalyst. Furthermore, SA could be recycled and reused for five times without losing its catalytic activity.

In this paper, a surface potential based threshold voltage model of fully-depleted（FD） recessed-source/drain（Re-S/D）silicon-on-insulator（SOI） metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor（MOSFET） is presented while considering the effects of high-k gate-dielectric material induced fringing-field. The two-dimensional（2D） Poisson＇s equation is solved in a channel region in order to obtain the surface potential under the assumption of the parabolic potential profile in the transverse direction of the channel with appropriate boundary conditions. The accuracy of the model is verified by comparing the model＇s results with the 2D simulation results from ATLAS over a wide range of channel lengths and other parameters,including the dielectric constant of gate-dielectric material.

Epidemiology of lung cancer and approaches for its prediction:a systematic review and analysis

Background: Owing to the use of tobacco and the consumption of alcohol and adulterated food, worldwide cancer incidence is increasing at an alarming and frightening rate. Since the last decade of the twentieth century, lung cancer has been the most common cancer type. This study aimed to determine the global status of lung cancer and to evaluate the use of computational methods in the early detection of lung ***: We used lung cancer data from the United Kingdom(UK), the United States(US), India, and Egypt. For statistical analysis, we used incidence and mortality as well as survival rates to better understand the critical state of lung ***: In the UK and the US, we found a significant decrease in lung cancer mortalities in the period of 1990–2014, whereas, in India and Egypt, such a decrease was not much promising. Additionally, we observed that, in the UK and the US, the survival rates of women with lung cancer were higher than those of men. We observed that the data mining and evolutionary algorithms were efficient in lung cancer ***: Our findings provide an inclusive understanding of the incidences, mortalities, and survival rates of lung cancer in the UK, the US, India, and Egypt. The combined use of data mining and evolutionary algorithm can be efficient in lung cancer detection.

This study aims to empirically analyze teaching-learning-based optimization(TLBO)and machine learning algorithms using k-means and fuzzy c-means(FCM)algorithms for their individual performance evaluation in terms of clustering and *** the first phase,the clustering(k-means and FCM)algorithms were employed independently and the clustering accuracy was evaluated using different *** the second phase,the non-clustered data obtained from the first phase were preprocessed with *** was performed using k-means(TLBO-KM)and FCM(TLBO-FCM)(TLBO-KM/FCM)*** objective function was determined by considering both minimization and maximization ***-clustered data obtained from the first phase were further utilized and fed as input for threshold *** benchmark datasets were considered from theUniversity of California,Irvine(UCI)Machine Learning Repository for comparative study and *** are breast cancer Wisconsin(BCW),Pima Indians Diabetes,Heart-Statlog,Hepatitis,and Cleveland Heart Disease *** combined average accuracy obtained collectively is approximately 99.4%in case of TLBO-KM and 98.6%in case of *** approach is also capable of finding the dominating *** findings indicate that TLBO-KM/FCM,considering different computational measures,perform well on the non-clustered data where k-means and FCM,if employed independently,fail to provide significant *** different feature sets,the TLBO-KM/FCM and SVM(GS)clearly outperformed all other classifiers in terms of sensitivity,specificity and ***/FCM attained the highest average sensitivity(98.7%),highest average specificity(98.4%)and highest average accuracy(99.4%)for 10-fold cross validation with different test data.
