In many societies,appearing slim(corresponding to a small body-mass index)is considered *** fashion industry has been attempting to cater to this trend by designing outfits that can enhance the appearance of *** anecdotal rules,widespread in the world of fashion,are to choose dark clothes and avoid horizontal stripes,in order to appear *** far,empirical evidence has been unable to conclusively determine the validity of these rules,and there is consequently much controversy regarding the impact of both color and patterns on the visual perception of *** this paper,we aim to close this gap by presenting the results from a series of large-scale crowdsourcing studies that investigate the above two *** gathered a dataset of around 1000 images of people from the Web together with their ground-truth weight and height as well as clothing attributes about colors and *** elicit the effects of colors and patterns,we asked crowd workers to estimate the weight in each *** the analysis,we controlled potential confounds by matching images in pairs where the two images differ with respect to color or pattern,but are similar with respect to other relevant *** created image pairs in two ways:firstly,observationally,i.e.,from two real images;and secondly,experimentally,by manipulating the color or pattern of clothing in a real image via photo *** on our analysis,we conclude that dark clothes indeed decrease perceived weight slightly but statistically significantly,and horizontal stripes have no discernible effect compared to solid light-colored *** results contribute to advancing the debate around the effect of specific clothing colors and patterns and thus provide empirical grounds for everyday fashion ***,our work gives an outlook on the vast opportunities of using crowd sourcing in the modern fashion industry.

Recent advances in wireless communications are diffusing into many new applications. The tiny sensor node, which consists of sensing, data processing and communicating components, led to the idea of sensor networks. A sensor network composed of a large number of sensor nodes that are densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it. The applications envisioned for sensor networks vary from monitoring inhospitable habitats and disaster areas to operating indoors for intrusion detection and equipment monitoring. In most cases the network designer would have little control over the exact deployment of the network. Nowadays Vehicular Networks are drawing lots of attention due to the wide variety of applications that they can provide. These applications include traffic monitoring, positioning, security etc. A lot of research work is being conducted to define the standard for vehicular communication. These include frequency allocation, standards for physical and link layers, routing algorithms, security issues and new applications. In this paper we discuss the disadvantages of the traffic monitoring by traditional methods and by using GPS equipped sensors. Then we propose a new routing protocol for a fixed topology containing both stationary and mobile nodes. We also try to optimize the energy of the sensor nodes. We simulate our routing algorithm in MATLAB and evaluate it for different possible cases.

Fatigue impairs workers’judgment,reduces their productivity,and jeopardizes their *** paper presents a tool to predict workers’fatigue based on their vital *** experimental study was conducted in which the heart rate and sleep quality for three individuals were monitored using fitness trackers(wearable sensors).The data collected were used to develop two models based on regression analysis and Artificial Neural Networks(ANN),to predict their fatigue level.A Borg’s scale was used to estimate the Rating of Perceived Exertion(RPE)of the *** two models were able to satisfactorily predict the RPE(workers fatigue level)with an average validity of 75%and 80%for the regression ANN models,respec*** developed models can provide project managers and superintendents with early warning to avoid potential worker overexertion,injuries,and fatalities.

肺类圆线虫(strongyloides stercoralis)是一种独特的寄生虫，它能够在人宿主体内完成整个的生命周期，从而建立自体感染的循环。人体只要免疫系统功能完善，就可以控制寄生虫的侵害，宿主器官在被寄生虫感染后多年仍可维持正常功能。大多数被感染的个体表现轻度的胃肠道或呼吸系统症状，此症状可以迁延数年。当细胞介导的免疫功能受到损害(如使用糖皮质激素、恶性肿瘤、获得性免疫缺陷综合征等患者)，寄生虫的侵害将增加、播散、引起过度感染。类圆线虫病是世界上热带及亚热带地区的流行病，也在美国东南部地区流行。类圆线虫病与哮喘、既往肺疾患、免疫抑制，包括获得性免疫缺陷综合征等相关。有些患者血嗜酸粒细胞并不增多，因此嗜酸粒细胞增多并非必不可少，这就要求在诊断类圆线虫病时有高度特异的指标。
