The intrinsic ability of peripheral nerves to regenerate after injury is extremely limited,especially in case of severe injury.This often leads to poor motor function and permanent disability.Existing approaches for the treatment of injured nerves do not provide appropriate conditions to support survival and growth of nerve cells.This drawback can be compensated by the use of gene therapy and cell therapy-based drugs that locally provide an increase in the key regulators of nerve growth,including neurotrophic factors and extracellular matrix proteins.Each growth factor plays its own specific angiotrophic or neurotrophic role.Currently,growth factors are widely studied as accelerators of nerve regeneration.Particularly noteworthy is synergy between various growth factors,that is essential for both angiogenesis and neurogenesis.Fibroblast growth factor 2 and vascular endothelial growth factor are widely known for their proangiogenic effects.At the same time,fibroblast growth factor 2 and vascular endothelial growth factor stimulate neural cell growth and play an important role in neurodegenerative diseases of the peripheral nervous system.Taken together,their neurotrophic and angiogenic properties have positive effect on the regeneration process.In this review we provide an in-depth overview of the role of fibroblast growth factor 2 and vascular endothelial growth factor in the regeneration of peripheral nerves,thus demonstrating their neurotherapeutic efficacy in improving neuron survival in the peripheral nervous system.

Influences of the tank liquid lateral sloshing and mass time-varying on high clearance self-propelled sprayer ride comfort

To explore the influence of the lateral sloshing and the time-varying mass of the liquid in the tank on the ride comfort of the high-clearance sprayer,a spring-mass-damping equivalent mechanics that can describe the lateral sloshing of the liquid under different filling ratios was constructed based on the equivalent criterion.The Fluent was used to simulate the moment acting on the wall of the tank by the lateral sloshing of the liquid,and then the parameters of the equivalent mechanical model are obtained by fitting and solving.Comparative analysis of Fluent simulation and bench test on lateral sloshing of tank liquid under different filling ratios.The results show that the lateral sloshing trend of the tank liquid level obtained from the Fluent simulation and the bench test was consistent,which proved the accuracy of the Fluent fluid simulation process and the correctness of the required equivalent mechanical model parameters.Incorporating a liquid sloshing equivalent model,a four-degree-of-freedom vertical dynamic model of the sprayer half-car was established.Subsequently,the performance of the sprayer was systematically analyzed and compared under the excitation of a bump road and a random E-level road.This investigation took into account varying liquid filling ratios of 10%,50%,and 90%.The focus lay on evaluating the vertical acceleration of the sprayer body,dynamic deflection of the suspension,and dynamic load on the tires in response to these road conditions.This analysis is conducted independently of the liquid sloshing factor.The results show that the lateral sloshing of the liquid medicine significantly reduces the ride smoothness of the machine,and makes the vibration response of the machine produce a certain hysteresis effect.With the reduction of the quality of the liquid medicine in the spray tank,the vibration amplitude of the sprayer body gradually decreases,the hysteresis effect is also gradually weakened.The results presented in this study offer a theoretical foundation for the analysis of ride

The emergence of van der Waals(vdW)materials resulted in the discovery of their high optical,mechanical,and electronic anisotropic properties,immediately enabling countless novel phenomena and applications.Such success inspired an intensive search for the highest possible anisotropic properties among vdW materials.Furthermore,the identification of the most promising among the huge family of vdW materials is a challenging quest requiring innovative approaches.Here,we suggest an easy-to-use method for such a survey based on the crystallographic geometrical perspective of vdW materials followed by their optical characterization.Using our approach,we found As2S3 as a highly anisotropic vdW material.It demonstrates high in-plane optical anisotropy that is~20%larger than for rutile and over two times as large as calcite,high refractive index,and transparency in the visible range,overcoming the century-long record set by rutile.Given these benefits,As2S3 opens a pathway towards nextgeneration nanophotonics as demonstrated by an ultrathin true zero-order quarter-wave plate that combines classical and the Fabry–Pérot optical phase accumulations.Hence,our approach provides an effective and easy-to-use method to find vdW materials with the utmost anisotropic properties.

Investigation of replacing tracer flooding analysis by capacitance resistance model to estimate interwell connectivity

Interwell connectivity is an essential parameter for managing waterflooding operations in a field.Analysis of the tracer injection operation is a well-known approach to studying injected fluids distribution in a reservoir and toward producer wells.Developed in the early 2000s,capacitance-resistance model(CRM)is an analytical approach for waterflooding modeling and optimization.Production/injection data are used as input to model the mass balance and estimate parameters such as the interwell connectivity.In this work,we investigated the accuracy of applying the capacitance-resistance model to mimic a tracer test.Such an approach helps assess the connection between the wells and decide on further field development steps cheaper and quicker.Connectivity values estimated by tracer tests and CRM were analyzed and compared for synthetic and real fields.CRM was capable of modeling waterflooding and estimating production in both fields with acceptable accuracy.Parameters such as well spacing and fluid loss during the injection were considered to improve the accuracy of the CRM approach to calculate the interwell connectivity between injector/producer pairs.Our study showed that CRM could serve as a tool for a quick approximate estimation of interwell connectivity under certain assumptions and is recommended as a replacement for tracer flooding analysis,where the tracer test is not possible or is expensive.

Angiogenesis and nerve regeneration induced by local administration of plasmid pBud-coVEGF165-coFGF2 into the intact rat sciatic nerve

Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and fibroblast growth factor 2(FGF2) are well-known growth factors involved in the regeneration of various tissues and organs, including peripheral nerve system. In the present study, we elucidated the local and systemic effects of plasmid construct рBud-coVEGF165-coFGF2 injected into the epineurium of intact rat sciatic nerve. Results of histological examination of sciatic nerve and multiplex immunoassays of serum showed the absence of immunogenicity and biosafety of plasmid рBud-coVEGF165-coFGF2. Moreover, local administration of plasmid DNA construct resulted in significantly decreased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral blood, including tumor necrosis factor α(TNFα) and interleukin-12, and significantly increased levels of cytokines and chemokines including Regulated upon Activation, Normal T Cell Expressed and Presumably Secrete(RANTES), epidermal growth factor, interleukin-2, and monocyte chemoattractant protein 1. These changes in the peripheral blood on day 7 after injection of plasmid construct рBud-coVEGF165-coFGF2 show that the plasmid construct has systemic effects and may modulate immune response. At the same time, reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction revealed transient expression of coFGF2, coVEGF165, ratFGF2 and ratVEGFA with direct transport of transcripts from distal part to proximal part of the sciatic nerve. Immunohistochemical staining revealed prolonged presence of VEGFA in sciatic nerve till 14 days post-injection. These findings suggest that local administration of plasmid construct рBud-coVEGF165-coFGF2 at a concentration of 30 ng/μL results in the formation of pro-angiogenic stimuli and, and the plasmid construct, used as a drug for gene therapy, might potentially facilitate regeneration of the sciatic nerve. The study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Kazan Federal University, procedures were approved by the Local Ethics Committee(approval No. 5) on May 27, 2014.

Investigation of the pin-roller metering device and tube effect for wheat seeds and granular fertilizers based on DEM

The metering device is the central part of the seeder discharging granular fertilizers or seeds from the hopper to the colter passing through the tube.Depending on the metering device design,the batches of particles are discharged or discharged evenly.This research analyzes existing metering devices,and a new pin-roller metering device is recommended to discharge evenly high doses of granular fertilizers and wheat seeds at low rotation speeds.The objective was to adapt the metering device to precision agriculture so that a little electric motor containing gearbox drives every metering device.Therefore,the pin-roller metering device parameters were investigated to apply high doses of granular fertilizers and wheat seeds evenly.The optimal pin positions were determined according to response surface methods(RSM)by simulating the granular fertilizers and wheat seeds'behavior on DEM.The coefficient of variation(CV)and the slip rate(SR)of the particles between the pins were chosen as indicators for evaluating the pin-roller.The shape of the pin was specified,and then the number of lines,the number of pins in a line,and the pin height were chosen to optimize.The analysis of the simulation results shows the optimal parameters:the number of pins in a line is four,and the number of lines is sixteen.The SR of granular fertilizers and wheat seeds were 8%and 2%,respectively.The pin-roller metering device is compared with the six-grooved and twelve-grooved metering devices.The comparison results show that the pin-roller metering device distributes twice more uniformly than other metering devices.The CV of the granular fertilizer distribution for six-grooved,twelve-grooved,and pin-roller metering devices was 111.13%,80.74%,and 37%,respectively.The CV of the wheat seed distribution for twelve-grooved and pin-roller metering devices was 96%,and 37%,respectively.As long as the particles interact with the tube,leaving the metering device,the effect of tube type and position is investigated.As a result,it was determined that the tub

Rangeland degradation assessment in Kyrgyzstan:vegetation and soils as indicators of grazing pressure in Naryn Oblast

Rangelands occupy more than 80% of the agricultural land in Kyrgyzstan. At least 30% of Kyrgyz pasture areas are considered to be subject to vegetation and soil degradation. Since animal husbandry is the economic basis to sustain people's livelihoods, rangeland degradation presents a threat for the majority of the population. We present for the first time an ecological assessment of different pasture types in a remote area of the Naryn Oblast, using vegetation and soils as indicators of rangeland conditions. We analysed the current degree of utilization(grazing pressure), the amount of biomass, soil samples, and vegetation data, using cluster analysis as well as ordination techniques. Winter pastures(kyshtoo) are characterized by higher p H values(average of 7.27) and lower organic matter contents(average of 12.83%) compared to summer pastures(dzailoo) with average p H values of 6.03 and average organic matter contents of 21.05%. Additionally, summer pastures show higher aboveground biomass, and higher species richness anddiversity. Our results support the hypothesis that winter pastures, which are located near settlements, suffer from over-utilisation, while the more distant summer pastures are subjected to much lower grazing pressure.

GO-modified flexible polymer nanocomposites fabricated via 3D stereolithography

Graphene oxide(GO)induced enhancement of elastomer properties showed a great deal of potential in recent years,but it is still limited by the barrier of the complicated synthesis processes.Stereolithography(SLA),used in fabrication of thermosets and very recently in“flexible”polymers with elastomeric properties,presents itself as simple and user-friendly method for integration of GO into elastomers.In this work,it was first time demonstrated that GO loadings can be incorporated into commercial flexible photopolymer resins to successfully fabricate GO/elastomer nanocomposites via readily accessible,consumer-oriented SLA printer.The material properties of the resulting polymer was characterized and tested.The mechanical strength,stiffness,and the elongation of the resulting polymer decreased with the addition of GO.The thermal properties were also adversely affected upon the increase in the GO content based on differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis results.It was proposed that the GO agglomerates within the 3D printed composites,can result in significant change in both mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting nanocomposites.This study demonstrated the possibility for the development of the GO/elastomer nanocomposites after the optimization of the GO/“Hexible”photoreactive resin formulation for SLA with suitable annealing process of the composite in future.

俄、汉民族都是世界上现存古老民族,拥有灿烂的文明史。人们在改造世界、认识自我的过程中,总会借助充分的想象力,将自己的观念与自然界的生物联系在一起,赋予其一定的象征意义。两个民族的动物种类繁多,而赋予在动物身上的民族特点也是极具代表性的。近几年来,俄罗斯与中国的政治经济往来频繁。每年,都有许多中国学生去俄罗斯学习俄语,也有不少的俄罗斯学生来到中国学习汉语。而学习语言的目的,主要是为了交际。跨文化交际的参与者往往容易从自我民族的思维出发,这样很容易造成沟通上的障碍,造成误解,也就达不到交际这个目的。所以说,学习语言的同时,也有必要对民族文化有所了解,并且能够了解本民族与其他民族的文化异同。本文将从俄、汉两个民族的动物形象这个文化侧面着手,从另一个角度来试分析俄、汉民族文化特点以及民族心理的异同。俄、汉族的动物形象,有同一动物,象征意义相近的;还有同一动物,象征意义相反的;还有不同动物形象表相近涵义的;以及民族特有的动物形象。文章将结合两国民族学者的研究成果上,进行更详尽的分析,通过对比的手法,从多个方向对俄、汉典型动物形象进行探讨,研究出有利于现代社会跨文化交流的观点,更好的促进文化交流。

近三十年,中国高等教育逐渐走向国际化,与世界诸多国家高等教育形成了交流合作关系,有效推广了中国文化的同时,引入了诸多国外先进的高等教育教学理论和教学资源,借鉴了国外丰富的教育管理经验,为中国社会输送了一大批专业性人才,有效推动了中国经济和社会的发展,同时在与国外院校交流过程中推动了中国外交事业快速发展。中国高等教育国际交流合作的发展,是中国改革开放战略的必然结果,是中国特色社会主义建设的必然结果。目前,全球经济进入了深入发展阶段,经济全球化成为了经济发展的必然趋势,世界各国之间的综合国力竞争日益加剧,新型技术并不断涌现。但是作为中国经济发展的支柱性事业,中国教育和科技仍然大大落后于世界先进水平。2001年,中国正式加入WTO,这为中国教育的发展带来了机遇的同时,也带来了巨大的挑战,中国教育事业必须顺应国际教育发展趋势,不断提升自己来满足经济全球化带来的高要求。文中高等教育交流被定义为高等教育结构同一个国家或政府之间的关联;它涵盖了入学制度、教育类型、教育制度、教育层次和徐诶制度等等。某个国家的高等教育交流事业的发展和变化离不开其历史传统、人口、经济、政治、文化和宗教等等。文中通过历史社会学和历史文献学分析手段,分别系统整理了吉尔吉斯斯坦和中国的高等教育制度发展史、发展现状和内在特征,有助于深入探讨吉尔吉斯斯坦同中国的高等教育合作交流。尽管吉中两国拥有不同的历史和文化背景,然而两国的高等教育制度存在诸多相互借鉴之处,有助于推动两国高等教育进一步发展。事实上,本文在探讨吉中高等教育交流合作时,仅仅设计了部分两国高等教育相互借鉴之处。笔者希望能够通过本研究积极推动更多的学者探讨吉中两国高等教育交流合作,开展更多的吉中高等教育合作项目,最终促进两国教育事业共同进步,共同构建和谐美好世界。
