Influences of Pr and Ta doping concentration on the characteristic features of FTO thin film deposited by spray pyrolysis

The Pr and Ta separately doped FTO（10 at.% F incorporated Sn O2） films are fabricated via spray pyrolysis. The microstructural, topographic, optical, and electrical features of fluorine-doped TO（FTO） films are investigated as functions of Pr and Ta dopant concentrations. The x-ray diffraction（XRD） measurements reveal that all deposited films show polycrystalline tin oxide crystal property. FTO film has（200） preferential orientation, but this orientation changes to（211） direction with Pr and Ta doping ratio increasing. Atomic force microscopy（AFM） and scanning electron microscopy（SEM） analyses show that all films have uniform and homogenous nanoparticle distributions. Furthermore, morphologies of the films depend on the ratio between Pr and Ta dopants. From ultraviolet-visible（UV-Vis） spectrophotometer measurements, it is shown that the transmittance value of FTO film decreases with Pr and Ta doping elements increasing. The band gap value of FTO film increases only at 1 at.% Ta doping level, it drops off with Pr and Ta doping ratio increasing at other doped FTO films. The electrical measurements indicate that the sheet resistance value of FTO film initially decreases with Pr and Ta doping ratio decreasing and then it increases with Pr and Ta doping ratio increasing. The highest value of figure of merit is obtained for 1 at.% Ta- and Pr-doped FTO film. These results suggest that Pr- and Ta-doped FTO films may be appealing candidates for TCO applications.

Studies have established that hybrid models outperform single *** particle swarm algorithm(PSO)-based PID(proportional-integral-derivative)controller control system is used in this study to determine the parameters that directly impact the speed and performance of the Electro Search(ESO)algorithm to obtain the global optimum *** algorithm was created by integrating this system with the ESO *** improved ESPID algorithm has been applied to 7 multi-modal benchmark test *** acquired results were compared to those derived using the ESO,PSO,Atom Search Optimization(ASO),and Vector Space Model(VSM)*** a consequence,it was determined that the ESPID algorithm’s mean score was superior in all ***,while comparing the mean duration value and standard deviations,it is observed that it is faster than the ESO algorithm and produces more accurate results than other *** algorithm has been used for the least cost problem in the production of pressure vessels,which is one of the real-life *** results were compared with ESO,Genetic algorithm and *** was found to be superior to other methods with the least production cost value of 5885.452.

In this study, we prove the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence upon the data of solution to integro-differential hyperbolic equation with purely nonlocal （integral） conditions. The proofs are based on a priori estimates and Laplace transform method. Finally, we obtain the solution using a numerical technique （Stehfest algorithm） by inverting the Laplace transform.

AIM： To determine factors related to disease severity, mortality and morbidity in acute pancreatitis.METHODS： One hundred and ninety-nine consecutive patients were admitted with the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis （AP） in a 5-year period （1998-2002）. In a prospective design, demographic data, etiology, mean hospital admission time, clinical, radiological, biochemical findings, treatment modalities, mortality and morbidity were recorded. Endocrine insufficiency was investigated with oral glucose tolerance test. The relations between these parameters, scoring systems （Ranson, Imrie and APACHE Ⅱ） and patients＇ outcome were determined by using invariable tests and the receiver operating characteristics curve.RESULTS： One hundred patients were men and 99 were women; the mean age was 55 years. Biliary pancreatitis was the most common form, followed by idiopathic pancreatitis （53% and 26%, respectively）. Sixty-three patients had severe pancreatitis and 136 had mild disease. Respiratory rate 〉 20/min, pulse rate 〉 90min, increased C-reactive protein （CRP）, lactate dehydrogenase （LDH） and aspartate aminotransferase （AST） levels, organ necrosis 〉 30% on computed tornography （CT） and leukocytosis were associated with severe disease. The rate of glucose intolerance, morbidity and mortality were 24.1%, 24.8% and 13.6%, respectively. CRP 〉 142 mg/L, BUN 〉 22 mg/dL, LDH 〉 667 U/L, base excess 〉 -5, CT severity index 〉 3 and APACHE score 〉 8 were related to morbidity and mortality.CONCLUSION： APACHE Ⅱ score, LDH, base excess and CT severity index have prognostic value and CRP is a reliable marker for predicting both mortality and morbidity.

A series of N-（5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl）-（3/4/5-substituted）-salicylaldimines （I--XI） were synthesized using appropriate synthetic route. Their structures were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Visible, ESI-MS, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques and analytical methods. The crystal structure of N-（5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl）-5-bromo- salicylaldimine （V） was determined by X-ray diffraction at room temperature. Relationship between the melting points and the structures of the compounds was examined. Antimicrobial activity of the compounds was evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis. Antifungal activities were reported for Candida albicans. Schiff bases showed considerable antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, S, epidermidis and C. albicans. N-（5-Chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl）-3-hydroxy-salieylaldimine （II） has the broadest and highest antimicrobial activity according to the others.

This paper proposed a method,namely resistively loaded lines(RLL),to compensate the effects of the DC bias lines after investigating its effects on several types of antennas for terahertz *** RLL is formed by placing lumped resistances periodically on the DC bias line in order to cease the leakage current virtually,w hich cause a significant amount of distortion on the antenna *** simulation results of the dipole,folded dipole,log-periodic,and spiral antennas show that RLL almost removes the effects of the bias lines and improves the antenna radiation resistance and radiation pattern notably compared w ith that of the commonly used bias line types,such as coplanar stripline and photonic bandgap type bias lines.

Background Despite the high prevalence of infantile colic, the pathogenesis remains incompletely understood. Cortisol and melatonin hormones affect gastrointestinal system development in several ways, and interestingly, both cortisol and mela-tonin's circadian rhythms begin around the 3rd month in which infantile colic symptoms start to decrease. We hypothesized that infantile colic might associate with desynchronization of normal circadian rhythms of these hormones. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of melatonin and cortisol in the pathogenesis of infantile colic. Methods Patients who were diagnosed as infantile colic according to Wessel's 'rule of three' were enrolled in the colic group. We measured the saliva melatonin and cortisol levels of colic group and control group infants. In both groups, the saliva samples were taken in mornings and at evenings, at the time of diagnosis and 6th month. Results Fifty-five infants finished the study. Melatonin circadian rhythm developed earlier in the control group than the infantile colic group in our study. We found no significant difference between the daily mean cortisol levels. However, infants with colic had flatter daily cortisol slope than controls which pointed out the probability that they had a less clearly defined cortisol rhythm than infants without colic. Conclusions We found an association between melatonin levels and infantile colic. However, more research is needed to fully understand the role of hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis and hormone's role on infantile colic physiopathology.

Background This study aimed to compare the efficacy of intravenous,intranasal fentanyl and oral sucrose in reducing the pain response during retinopathy of prematurity examinations using premature infant pain profile(PIPP)*** The study included 42 infants who underwent retinopathy screening *** infants were divided into three groups:oral sucrose,intranasal fentanyl,and intravenous *** signs(heart rate,arterial oxygen saturation,and mean arterial pressure)were *** PIPP was used to determine pain *** oxygenation and middle cerebral artery blood flow were evaluated using near-infrared spectroscopy and Doppler ultrasonography,*** data obtained were compared between *** There was no significant difference between the three groups regarding postconceptional and postnatal ages or birth weights and weight at the time of *** babies had moderate pain during the *** correlation was observed between analgesia method and pain scores(P=0.159).In all three groups,heart rate and mean arterial pressure increased,whereas oxygen saturation decreased during the exam compared with pre-examination ***,heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)and arterial oxygen saturation(sPO2)values did not differ between groups(HR,P=0.150;MAP,P=0.245;sPO2,P=0.140).The cerebral oxygenation(rSO2)values between the three groups were found to be similar[rSO2:P=0.545,P=0.247,P=0.803;fractional tissue oxygen extraction(FTOE):P=0.553,P=0.278].Regarding cerebral blood flow values,we also did not find any difference between the three groups[mean blood flow velocity(Vmean):P=0.569,P=0.975;maximum flow velocity(Vmax):P=0.820,P=0.997].Conclusions Intravenous and intranasal fentanyl and oral sucrose were not superior to each other in preventing pain during the examination for retinopathy of prematurity(ROP).Sucrose may be a good alternative for pain control during ROP *** findings suggest
