A new synchronization scheme for chaotic（hyperchaotic） maps with different dimensions is ***,given a drive system map with dimension n and a response system with dimension m,the proposed approach enables each drive system state to be synchronized with a linear response combination of the response system *** method,based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the pole placement technique,presents some useful features：（i） it enables synchronization to be achieved for both cases of n 〈 m and n 〉 m;（ii） it is rigorous,being based on theorems;（iii） it can be readily applied to any chaotic（hyperchaotic） maps defined to ***,the capability of the approach is illustrated by synchronization examples between the two-dimensional H′enon map（as the drive system） and the three-dimensional hyperchaotic Wang map（as the response system）,and the three-dimensional H′enon-like map（as the drive system） and the two-dimensional Lorenz discrete-time system（as the response system）.

The purpose of this work is to investigate the asymptotic properties of a stochastic Gilpin--Ayala population system under regime switching on patches. We establish the global stability and the extinction of the trivial equilibrium state of the model. Further- more, we show the existence of the stationary distribution for our system model. The analytical results are illustrated by computer simulations.

In this paper, we address fault-diagnosis agreement(FDA) problems in distributed wireless networks(DWNs) with arbitrary fallible nodes and healthy access points. We propose a new algorithm to reach an agreement among fault-free members about the faulty ones. The algorithm is designed for fully connected DWN and can also be easily adapted to partially connected networks. Our contribution is to reduce the bit complexity of the Byzantine agreement process by detecting the same list of faulty units in all fault-free members. Therefore, the malicious units can be removed from other consensus processes. Also, each healthy unit detects a local list of malicious units, which results in lower packet transmissions in the network. Our proposed algorithm solves FDA problems in 2t+1 rounds of packet transmissions, and the bit complexity in each wireless node is O(nt+1).

This study proposes a novel fractional discrete-time macroeconomic system with incommensurate *** dynamical behavior of the proposed macroeconomic model is investigated analytically and *** particular,the zero equilibrium point stability is investigated to demonstrate that the discrete macroeconomic system exhibits chaotic *** using bifurcation diagrams,phase attractors,the maximum Lyapunov exponent and the 0–1 test,we verified that chaos exists in the new model with incommensurate fractional ***,a complexity analysis is carried out utilizing the approximation entropy(ApEn)and C_(0)complexity to prove that chaos ***,the main findings of this study are presented using numerical simulations.

In the era of Big data,learning discriminant feature representation from network traffic is identified has as an invariably essential task for improving the detection ability of an intrusion detection system(IDS).Owing to the lack of accurately labeled network traffic data,many unsupervised feature representation learning models have been proposed with state-of-theart ***,these models fail to consider the classification error while learning the feature ***,the learnt feature representation may degrade the performance of the classification *** the first time in the field of intrusion detection,this paper proposes an unsupervised IDS model leveraging the benefits of deep autoencoder(DAE)for learning the robust feature representation and one-class support vector machine(OCSVM)for finding the more compact decision hyperplane for intrusion ***,the proposed model defines a new unified objective function to minimize the reconstruction and classification error *** unique contribution not only enables the model to support joint learning for feature representation and classifier training but also guides to learn the robust feature representation which can improve the discrimination ability of the classifier for intrusion *** set of evaluation experiments are conducted to demonstrate the potential of the proposed ***,the ablation evaluation on benchmark dataset,NSL-KDD validates the design decision of the proposed ***,the performance evaluation on recent intrusion dataset,UNSW-NB15 signifies the stable performance of the proposed ***,the comparative evaluation verifies the efficacy of the proposed model against recently published state-of-the-art methods.

In the Internet of Things(IoT)-based smart city applications,employing the Data Collectors(DC)as the data brokers between the nodes and Base Station(BS)can be a promising solution to enhance the energy efficiency of energy-constrained IoT sensor *** are several schemes that utilize mobile DCs to collect the data packets from sensor ***,moving DCs along the hundreds of thousands of sensors sparsely distributed across a smart city is considered a design challenge in such *** concern lies in how these mobile DCs are being ***,to overcome these limitations,we exploit multiple energy-limited Static Data Collectors(SDC)which are deployed at the locations optimized so that the energy consumption of both nodes and SDCs is ***,anUnmannedAerial Vehicle(UAV)-enabled wireless power transfer is considered for sustaining the SDCs to avoid their energy depletion and data packet *** sustainable charging process operates periodically in each cycle so that the UAV flies from a charging station and after recharging the SDCs,it comes back to the station to be *** this study,we formulate a problem to optimize the movement trajectory and charging time of UAV so that sustainable operation of SDCs during a cycle can be *** the prior studies,our proposed scheme determines the optimal trajectory and charging time at the beginning of each cycle which leads to increase accuracy in comparison with long-term optimization-based *** outcomes of simulation experiments show that the proposed scheme achieves improved network performance in terms of data delivery ratio(12.5%);system throughput(6.6%);total energy consumption(59.19%);and network lifetime(58%)as compared to previous related works.

This paper proposed an Integrated Random Early Detection(IRED)method that aims to resolve the problems of the queue-based AQM and loadbased AQM and gain the benefits of both using indicators from both *** arrival factor(e.g.,arrival rate,queue and capacity)and the departure factors are used to estimate the congestion through two integrated *** utilized indicators are mathematically calculated and integrated to gain unified and coherent congestion ***,IRED is built based on a new dropping calculation approach that fits the utilized congestion indicators while maintaining the intended buffer management criteria,avoiding global synchronization and enhancing the *** results showed that IRED,compared to RED,BLUE,ERED,FLRED,EnRED and DcRED,decreased packet delay and loss under various network ***,the results showed that in heavy and moderate traffic,the proposed IRED method outperformed the state-of-the-art methods in loss and delay by 18% and 10.6%,respectively.

Laboratory bioassays were conducted to determine the effect of food source on the survival of Tribolium castaneum Herbst, Oryzaephilus surinamensis L. and Rhyzopertha dominica F., after exposure to five diatomaceous earth （DE） formulations： Protect-It, Insecto, Perma-GuardTM, Dryacide and SilicoSec. Adults of these species were exposed to DEs at the rate of 0.5 mg/cm^2 for 1 day on filter paper inside plastic Petri dishes. After exposure, the initial mortality was counted and live individuals of the three species were held for a week in glass vials containing 50 mg wheat flour, rice and whole wheat, respectively. In the second experiment, after 1 day exposure to DEs, beetles were transferred to Petri dishes without food and held for a week to determine if the presence of food source would decrease the mortality of beetles. Experiments were carried out at 27℃ and 55% RH in the dark. The initial mortality in both of the experiments reached 100% for the three species exposed to Protect-It and in the case ofR. dominica and O. surinamensis exposed to Dryacide. In contrast, low level of mortality （〈 10%） was observed for T. castaneum exposed to Perma-GuardTM and Insecto. The mortality after the post-treatment period on food was decreased for the three species exposed to Perma-GuardTM and in the case of T. castaneum and R. dominica exposed to Insecto and SilicoSec. Adults of O. surinamensis were the most susceptible followed by R. dominica and 100% adult mortality was obtained, whereas T. castaneum were the least susceptible beetles to DEs. Protect-It and Dryacide were the most efficient DE formulations and can be used effectively in a stored grain integrated pest management program.

The aging behavior of softening composite solid propellant was investigated by measuring its mechanical and ballistic prosperities during prolonged storage at elevated and room temperatures. Accelerated aging was conducted at 65 °C for 231 days while the normal aging was performed at 25 ± 3 °C and relative humidity less than 50% for 8 years. The mechanical properties were obtained from uniaxial tensile tests for the aged propellant specimens while the ballistic properties were determined from static firing tests of subscale motors aged for 112 days at 65 °C. The mechanical results show that the maximum tensile strength and Young's modulus initially increase and subsequently decrease with increasing aging time, while the maximum tensile strain generally increases with increasing aging time. The ballistic properties like burning rate show a small change which cannot affect the ballistic performance. The experimental results show that the changes in the mechanical properties are significant during the aging period, but the burning rate does not undergo significant changes. From this study, it is observed that the propellant ages through a combination of reactions like post-cure, oxidative cross-linking, chain scission, and hydrolysis. The chain scission and the hydrolysis effect are the most significant process, which makes the propellant soft and extendible. The observed aging mechanism has been modeled using an exponential function with two terms which can describe the complex behavior of the aging. By applying Arrhenius equation,the activation energy values were obtained based on the propellant mechanical properties. The shelf life of this propellant formulation at 25 °C is predicted to be 13 years using the modulus as failure criteria and control parameter.
