Global efforts for envi.onmental cleanli.ess through the control of gaseous emi.si.ns from vehi.les are gai.i.g momentum and attracti.g i.creasi.g attenti.n. Cali.rati.n plays a cruci.l role i. these efforts by ensuri.g the quanti.ati.e assessment of emi.si.ns for i.formed deci.i.ns on envi.onmental treatments. Thi. paper descri.es a method for the cali.rati.n of CO/CO2 moni.ors used for peri.di. i.specti.ns of vehi.les i. ci.es. The cali.rati.n was performed i. the selected ranges: 900 - 12,000 µmol/mol for CO and 2000 - 20,000 µmol/mol for CO2. The traceabi.i.y of the measurement results to the Si.uni.s was ensured by usi.g certi.i.d reference materi.ls from CO/N2 and CO2/N2 pri.ary gas mi.tures. The method performance was evaluated by assessi.g i.s li.eari.y, accuracy, preci.i.n, bi.s, and uncertai.ty of the cali.rati.n results. The cali.rati.n data exhi.i.ed a strong li.ear trend wi.h R² values close to 1, i.di.ati.g an excellent fi. between the measured values and the cali.rati.n li.es. Preci.i.n, expressed as relati.e standard devi.ti.n (%RSD), ranged from 0.48 to 4.56% for CO and from 0.97 to 3.53% for CO2, stayi.g well below the 5% threshold for reporti.g results at a 95% confi.ence level. Accuracy measured as percent recovery, was consi.tently hi.h (≥ 99.1%) for CO and ranged from 84.90% to 101.54% across the cali.rati.n range for CO2. i. addi.i.n, the method exhi.i.ed mi.i.al bi.s for both CO and CO2 cali.rati.ns and thus provi.ed a reli.ble and accurate approach for cali.rati.g CO/CO2 moni.ors used i. vehi.le i.specti.ns. Thus, i. ensures the effecti.eness of exhaust emi.si.n control for better envi.onment.

Regressi.n(LR).Subsequently,the concentrated models were vali.ated through 10-fold Cross-Vali.ati.n and Recei.er Operati.g Characteri.ti.(ROC)—Area Under the Curve(AUC).i. addi.i.n,Gri.SearchCV was uti.i.ed to measure each algori.hm’s best parameter;eventually,the models were trai.ed through the hyperparameter tuni.g *** 98%accuracy,Li.htGBM had the hi.hest accuracy i. thi. ***,KNN,and SVM came i. second wi.h 96%***,the performance scores of NB and LR were recorded to be 76%and 83%,*** i. to be menti.ned that after applyi.g 10-fold cross-vali.ati.n,the average performance score of Li.htGBM accounted for 93%.At the same ti.e,the percentage of ROC-AUC appeared at 0.92,whi.h i.di.ates that thi.
