BACKGROUND Insulin pump therapy is a real breakthrough in managing diabetes Mellitus,particularly in children. It can deliver a tiny amount of insulin and decreases the need for frequent needle injections. It also helps to maintain adequate and optimal glycemic control to reduce the risk of metabolic derangements in different *** are suitable candidates for pump therapy as they need a more freestyle and proper metabolic control to ensure adequate growth and ***, children and their caregivers should have proper education and training and understand the proper use of insulin pumps to achieve successful pump therapy. The pump therapy continuously improves to enhance its performance and increase its simulation of the human pancreas. Nonetheless, there is yet a long way to reach the desired *** To review discusses the history of pump development, its indications, types, proper use, special conditions that may enface the children and their families while using the pump, its general care,and its advantages and *** We conducted comprehensive literature searches of electronic databases until June 30, 2022,related to pump therapy in children and published in the English *** We included 118 articles concerned with insulin pumps, 61 were reviews, systemic reviews, and meta-analyses, 47 were primary research studies with strong design, and ten were *** The insulin pump provides fewer needles and can provide very tiny insulin doses, a convenient and more flexible way to modify the needed insulin physiologically, like the human pancreas, and can offer adequate and optimal glycemic control to reduce the risk of metabolic derangements in different tissues.

G-stochastic maximum principle for risk-sensitive control problem and its applications

Enhanced Deep Autoencoder Based Feature Representation Learning for Intelligent Intrusion Detection System

In the era of Big data,learning discriminant feature representation from network traffic is identified has as an invariably essential task for improving the detection ability of an intrusion detection system(IDS).Owing to the lack of accurately labeled network traffic data,many unsupervised feature representation learning models have been proposed with state-of-theart ***,these models fail to consider the classification error while learning the feature ***,the learnt feature representation may degrade the performance of the classification *** the first time in the field of intrusion detection,this paper proposes an unsupervised IDS model leveraging the benefits of deep autoencoder(DAE)for learning the robust feature representation and one-class support vector machine(OCSVM)for finding the more compact decision hyperplane for intrusion ***,the proposed model defines a new unified objective function to minimize the reconstruction and classification error *** unique contribution not only enables the model to support joint learning for feature representation and classifier training but also guides to learn the robust feature representation which can improve the discrimination ability of the classifier for intrusion *** set of evaluation experiments are conducted to demonstrate the potential of the proposed ***,the ablation evaluation on benchmark dataset,NSL-KDD validates the design decision of the proposed ***,the performance evaluation on recent intrusion dataset,UNSW-NB15 signifies the stable performance of the proposed ***,the comparative evaluation verifies the efficacy of the proposed model against recently published state-of-the-art methods.

Throughout the use of the small battery-operated sensor nodes encou-rage us to develop an energy-efficient routing protocol for wireless sensor networks(WSNs).The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol is a mainly adopted technique to enhance the lifetime of *** routing protocols are available,but the issue is still *** is one of the most important techniques in the existing routing *** the clustering-based model,the important thing is the selection of the cluster *** this paper,we have proposed a scheme that uses the bubble sort algorithm for cluster head selection by considering the remaining energy and the distance of the nodes in each ***,the bubble sort algorithm chose the two nodes with the maximum remaining energy in the cluster and chose a cluster head with a small *** proposed scheme performs hierarchal routing and direct routing with some energy *** simulation will be performed in MATLAB to justify its performance and results and compared with the ECHERP model to justify its ***,the simulations will be performed in two scenarios,gate-way-based and without gateway to achieve more energy-efficient results.

Handwritten character recognition systems are used in every field of life nowadays,including shopping malls,banks,educational institutes,*** is the national language of Pakistan,and it is the fourth spoken language in the ***,it is still challenging to recognize Urdu handwritten characters owing to their cursive *** paper presents a Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)model to recognize Urdu handwritten alphabet recognition(UHAR)offline and online *** research contributes an Urdu handwritten dataset(aka UHDS)to empower future works in this *** offline systems,optical readers are used for extracting the alphabets,while diagonal-based extraction methods are implemented in online ***,our research tackled the issue concerning the lack of comprehensive and standard Urdu alphabet datasets to empower research activities in the area of Urdu text *** this end,we collected 1000 handwritten samples for each alphabet and a total of 38000 samples from 12 to 25 age groups to train our CNN model using online and offline ***,we carried out detailed experiments for character recognition,as detailed in the *** proposed CNN model outperformed as compared to previously published approaches.

Sustainable Coastal Landscaping Using Reclaimed Irrigation Water in Dubai

Dubai became a truism and business hub of the Middle East. Dubai Municipality (DM) treats municipal wastewater and has implemented reclaimed water (RW) distribution systems for the irrigation of greeneries in the city. Reusing water has been a sustainable solution to reduce the consumption of potable water, which is produced through the expensive processes of desalination. Using RW raises concerns regarding the accumulation of RW’s nutrients in soil and consequently stormwater pollution especially in coastal areas. The quality of RW, the accumulation of RW’s nutrients in soil and interaction between stormwater and soil should be assessed to estimate the environmental impacts of using cost-effective RW. The objective of this research is to form a practical assessment methodology for estimating the extent of stormwater pollution when rainwater is exposed to soils irrigated with RW. The research attempts to determine the impact of RW’s nutrients concentrations and the land characteristics including foliage and land slopes on stormwater pollution and potential environmental catastrophes in seashores. The results of pollution estimation were considered to moderate the pollution of runoff generated from lands in coastlines.

Effect of five diatomaceous earth formulations against Tribofium castaneum （Coleoptera： Tenebrionidae）, Oryzaephflus surinamensis （Coleoptera： Silvanidae） and Rhyzopertha dominica （Coleoptera： Bostrychidae）

Laboratory bioassays were conducted to determine the effect of food source on the survival of Tribolium castaneum Herbst, Oryzaephilus surinamensis L. and Rhyzopertha dominica F., after exposure to five diatomaceous earth （DE） formulations： Protect-It, Insecto, Perma-GuardTM, Dryacide and SilicoSec. Adults of these species were exposed to DEs at the rate of 0.5 mg/cm^2 for 1 day on filter paper inside plastic Petri dishes. After exposure, the initial mortality was counted and live individuals of the three species were held for a week in glass vials containing 50 mg wheat flour, rice and whole wheat, respectively. In the second experiment, after 1 day exposure to DEs, beetles were transferred to Petri dishes without food and held for a week to determine if the presence of food source would decrease the mortality of beetles. Experiments were carried out at 27℃ and 55% RH in the dark. The initial mortality in both of the experiments reached 100% for the three species exposed to Protect-It and in the case ofR. dominica and O. surinamensis exposed to Dryacide. In contrast, low level of mortality （〈 10%） was observed for T. castaneum exposed to Perma-GuardTM and Insecto. The mortality after the post-treatment period on food was decreased for the three species exposed to Perma-GuardTM and in the case of T. castaneum and R. dominica exposed to Insecto and SilicoSec. Adults of O. surinamensis were the most susceptible followed by R. dominica and 100% adult mortality was obtained, whereas T. castaneum were the least susceptible beetles to DEs. Protect-It and Dryacide were the most efficient DE formulations and can be used effectively in a stored grain integrated pest management program.

In the network field,Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)contain prolonged attention due to afresh *** like health care,traffic,defense,and many more systems espoused the *** networks contain tiny sensor nodes containing embedded processors,TinyOS,memory,and power *** nodes are responsible for forwarding the data *** manage all these components,there is a need to select appropriate parameters which control the quality of service of *** sensor nodes are involved in transmitting vital information,and there is a need for secure and efficient routing to reach the quality of *** due to the high cost of the network,WSN components have limited resources to manage the *** is a need to design a lightweight solution that ensures the quality of service in *** this given manner,this study provides the quality of services in a wireless sensor network with a security *** incorporated hybrid lightweight security model is designed in which random waypoint mobility(RWM)model and grey wolf optimization(GWO)is used to enhance service quality and maintain security with efficient *** version 16 andNetwork Stimulator 2.35(NS2.35)are used in this research to evaluate the *** overall cost factor is reduced at 60%without the optimization technique and 90.90%reduced by using the optimization technique,which is assessed by calculating the signal-to-noise ratio,overall energy nodes,and communication overhead.

Controlling feedback control systems in continuous action spaces has always been a challenging ***,reinforcement learning is mainly an area of artificial intelligence(AI)because it has been used in process control for more than a ***,the existing algorithms are unable to provide satisfactory ***,this research uses a reinforcement learning(RL)algorithm to manage the control *** propose an adaptive speed control of the motor system based on depth deterministic strategy gradient(DDPG).The actor-critic scenario using DDPG is implemented to build the RL *** addition,a framework has been created for traditional feedback control systems to make RL implementation easier for control *** RL algorithms are robust and proficient in using trial and error to search for the best *** proposed algorithm is a deep deterministic policy gradient,in which a large amount of training data trains the *** the system is trained,the agent can automatically adjust the control *** algorithm has been developed using Python 3.6 and the simulation results are evaluated in the MATLAB/Simulink *** performance of the proposed RL algorithm is compared with a proportional integral derivative(PID)controller and a linear quadratic regulator(LQR)*** simulation results of the proposed scheme are promising for the feedback control problems.
