Migration of existing software systems to mobile computing platforms:a systematic mapping study

Mobile computing has fast emerged as a pervasive technology to replace the old computing paradigms with portable computation and context-aware *** software systems can be migrated(while preserving their data and logic)to mobile computing platforms that support portability,context-sensitivity,and enhanced *** recent years,some research and development efforts have focused on a systematic migration of existing software systems to mobile computing *** investigate the research state-of-the-art on the migration of existing software systems to mobile computing *** aim to analyze the progression and impacts of existing research,highlight challenges and solutions that reflect dimensions of emerging and futuristic *** followed evidence-based software engineering(EBSE)method to conduct a systematic mapping study(SMS)of the existing research that has progressed over more than a decade(25 studies published from 1996–2017).We have derived a taxonomical classification and a holistic mapping of the existing research to investigate its progress,impacts,and potential areas of futuristic research and *** SMS has identified three types of migration namely Static,Dynamic,and State-based Migration of existing software systems to mobile computing *** to mobile computing platforms enables existing software systems to achieve portability,context-sensitivity,and high ***,mobile systems may face some challenges such as resource poverty,data security,and *** emerging and futuristic research aims to support patterns and tool support to automate the migration *** results of this SMS can benefit researchers and practitioners-by highlighting challenges,solutions,and tools,etc.,-to conceptualize the state-of-the-art and futuristic trends that support migration of existing software to mobile computing.

Supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA)systems are computer systems that gather and analyze real-time data,distributed control systems are specially designed automated control system that consists of geographically distributed control elements,and other smaller control systems such as programmable logic controllers are industrial solid-state computers that monitor inputs and outputs and make logic-based *** recent years,there has been a lot of focus on the security of industrial control *** to the advancement in information technologies,the risk of cyberattacks on industrial control system has been drastically *** they are so inextricably tied to human life,any damage to them might have devastating *** provide an efficient solution to such problems,this paper proposes a new approach to intrusion ***,the important features in the dataset are determined by the difference between the distribution of unlabeled and positive data which is deployed for the learning ***,a prior estimation of the class is proposed based on a support vector *** results show that the proposed approach has better anomaly detection performance than existing algorithms.

Aggressive restenosis after percutaneous intervention in two coronary loci in a patient with human immunodeficiency virus infection

A 54-year-old black African woman, 22 years human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-positive, presented with an acute coronary syndrome. She was taking two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and two protease inhibitors. Viral load and CD4 count were stable. Angiography revealed a right coronary artery lesion, which was treated with everolimus eluting stent. She also underwent balloon angioplasty to the first diagonal. She re-presented on three different occasions and technically successful coronary intervention was performed. The patient has reported satisfactory compliance with dual anti platelet therapy throughout. She was successfully treated with surgical revascularisation. The patient did not experience any clinical recurrence on follow up. This case demonstrates exceptionally aggressive multifocal and recurrent instent restenosis in a patient treated for HIV infection, raising the possibility of an association with HIV infection or potentially components of retro viral therapy.

Nano-single-crystal-constructed submicron MnCO_(3) hollow spindles enabled by solid precursor transition combined Ostwald ripening in situ on graphene toward exceptional interfacial and capacitive lithium storage

Hollow structuring has been identified as an effective strategy to enhance the cycling stability of electrodes for rechargeable batteries due to the outstanding volume expansion buffering efficiency,which motivates ardent pursuing on the synthetic approaches of hollow ***,an intriguing route,combining solid precursor transition and Ostwald ripening(SPTOR),is developed to craft nano single-crystal(SC)-constructed MnCO_(3) submicron hollow spindles homogeneously encapsulated in a reduced graphene oxide matrix(MnCO_(3) SMHSs/rGO).It is noteworthy that the H-bonding interaction between Mn_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)and oxygen-containing groups on GO promotes uniform anchoring of Mn_(3)O_(4) NPs on GO,mild reductant ascorbic acid triggers the progressive solid-to-solid transition from Mn_(3)O_(4) NPs to MnCO_(3) submicron solid spindles(SMSSs)in situ on GO,and the Ostwald ripening process induces the gradual dissolution of interior polycrystals of MnCO_(3) SMSSs and subsequent recrystallization on surface SCs of MnCO_(3) ***,MnCO_(3) SMHSs/rGO delivers a 500th lithium storage capacity of 2023 mAh g^(-1) at 1000 mAg^(-1),which is 10 times higher than that of MnCO_(3) microspheres/rGO fabricated from a conventional Mn^(2+)salt precursor(202 mAh g^(-1)).The ultrahigh capacity and ultralong lifespan of MnCO_(3) SMHSs/rGO can be primarily attributed to the superior reaction kinetics and reversibility combined with exceptional interfacial and capacitive lithium storage capability,enabled by the fast ion/electron transfer,large specific surface area,and robust electrode pulverization inhibition ***,fascinating in-depth lithium storage reactions of MnCO_(3) are observed such as the oxidation of Mn^(2+)in MnCO_(3) to Mn^(3+)in charge process after long-term cycles and the further lithiation of Li_(2)CO_(3) in discharge *** such,the Carbon *** approach may represent a viable strategy for crafting various hollow functional mat

Statins have been shown to be effective in reducing cardiovascular *** magnitude of benefits has been proportionate to the reduction in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c).Intensive lipid-lowering therapies using ezetimibe and more recently proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin 9 inhibitors have further improved clinical *** application of these treatments is undesirable and unaffordable and,therefore,has been guided by LDL-c ***,the residual risk in the post-statin era is markedly heterogeneous,including thrombosis and inflammation ***,the lipoprotein related risk is increasingly recognised to be related to other non-LDL-c markers such as Lp(a).Emerging data show that intensive lipid-lowering therapy produce larger absolute risk reduction in patients with polyvascular disease,post coronary artery bypass graft and ***,these clinical entities share similar phenotype of large burden of atherosclerotic *** plaque imaging may aid decision making by identifying patients with propensity to develop lipid rich plagues at multi-vascular *** patients may be suitable candidates for intensive lipid lowering treatment.

Role of coronary angiogram before transcatheter aortic valve implantation

BACKGROUND Coexistent coronary artery disease is commonly seen in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation(TAVI).Previous studies showed that pre-TAVI coronary revascularisation was not associated with improved outcomes,challenging the clinical value of routine coronary angiogram(CA).AIM To assess whether a selective approach to perform pre-TAVI CA is safe and *** This was a retrospective non-randomised single-centre analysis of consecutive patients undergoing TAVI.A selective approach for performing CA tailored to patient clinical need was *** outcomes were compared based on whether patients underwent *** primary endpoint was a composite of allcause mortality,myocardial infraction,repeat CA,and re-admission with heart *** Of 348 patients(average age 81±7 and 57%male)were included with a median follow up of 19(9-31)*** hundred and fifty-four(44%)patients,underwent CA before TAVI *** who underwent CA were more likely to have previous myocardial infarction(MI)and previous percutaneous *** primary endpoint was comparable between the two group(22.6%vs 22.2%;hazard ratio 1.05,95%CI:0.67-1.64,P=0.82).Patients who had CA were less likely to be readmitted with heart failure(P=0.022),but more likely to have repeat CA(P=0.002)and MI(P=0.007).In those who underwent CA,the presence of flow limiting lesions did not affect the incidence of primary endpoint,or its components,except for increased rate of repeat *** Selective CA is a feasible and safe *** clinical value of routine CA should be challenged in future randomised trials.

Evaluation and Analysis of Hospital Disaster Preparedness in Jeddah

Introduction: Disaster damage to health systems is a human and health tragedy, results in huge economic losses, deals devastating blows to development goals, and shakes social confidence. Hospital disaster preparedness presents complex clinical operation. It is difficult philosophical challenge. It is difficult to determine how much time, money, and effort should be spent in preparing for an event that may not occur. Health facilities whether hospitals or rural health clinics, should be a source of strength during emergencies and disasters. They should be ready to save lives and to continue providing essential emergencies and disasters. Jeddah has relatively a level of disaster risk which is attributable to its geographical location, climate variability, topography, etc. This study investigates the hospital disaster preparedness (HDP) in Jeddah. Methods: Questionnaire was designed according to five Likert scales. It was divided into eight fields of 33 indicators: structure, architectural and furnishings, lifeline facilities’ safety, hospital location, utilities maintenance, surge capacity, emergency and disaster plan, and control of communication and coordination. Sample of six hospitals participated in the study and rated to the extent of disaster preparedness for each hospital disaster preparedness indicators. Two hazard tools were used to find out the hazards for each hospital. An assessment tool was designed to monitor progress and effectiveness of the hospitals’ improvement. Weakness was found in HDP level in the surveyed hospitals. Disaster mitigation needs more action including: risk assessment, structural and non-structural prevention, and preparedness for contingency planning and warning and evacuation. Conclusion: The finding shows that hospitals included in this study have tools and indicators in hospital preparedness but with lack of training and management during disaster. Use of rotablation to rescue a “fractured” micro catheter tip: A case report

BACKGROUND High-speed rotational atherectomy (HSRA) is most commonly used to modify calcified coronary artery lesions to facilitate stent deployment and expansion. The use of HSRA as an emergency rescue technique to release a fractured microcatheter has not been described. We report the use of HSRA in a case of a fracture trapped corsair tip that was impeding coronary flow causing a ST elevation myocardial infarct. CASE SUMMARY A 79 years old male was scheduled for elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) to his left anterior descending artery (LAD). Given its calcific nature, a decision was made for upfront rotablation. During procedural preparations, the tip of an employed micro-catheter was separated from the shaft resulting in obstructing coronary flow and ST-segment elevation. The consensus was for an attempt bail out PCI strategy. A rotafloppy wire was advanced to the distal LAD using a corsair micro-catheter which was placed proximal to the occlusion site. Modification of the mid LAD segment was performed, resulting in mobilising the corsair tip, and deflecting it to a small diagonal branch. Following serial predilation, the procedure was completed using two overlapping drug eluting stents, jailing the corsair tip in the diagonal branch. The patient made uneventful recovery and was clinically stable at one year follow up. CONCLUSION HSRA may be offered as a bailed-out strategy to rescue fractured and jailed micro-catheter tip in high risk surgical cases.
