Prediction of stability in Sg(Smart grid)is essential in maintaining consistency and reliability of power supply in grid *** the fluctuations in power generation and consumption patterns of smart cities assists in effectively managing continuous power supply in the *** also possesses a better impact on averting overloading and permitting effective energy *** though many traditional techniques have predicted the consumption rate for preserving stability,enhancement is required in prediction measures with minimized *** overcome the complications in existing studies,this paper intends to predict stability from the smart grid stability prediction dataset using machine learning *** accomplish this,pre-processing is performed initially to handle missing values since it develops biased models when missing values are mishandled and performs feature scaling to normalize independent data ***,the pre-processed data are taken for training and *** that,the regression process is performed using Modified PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization)optimized XgBoost Technique with dynamic inertia weight update,which analyses variables like gamma(g),reaction time(tau1–tau4),and power balance(p1–p4)for providing effective future stability in *** PSO attains optimal solution by adjusting position through dynamic inertial weights,it is integrated with XgBoost due to its scalability and faster computational speed *** hyperparameters of XgBoost are fine-tuned in the training process for achieving promising outcomes on *** results are measured through evaluation metrics such as MSe(Mean Square error)of 0.011312781,MAe(Mean Absolute error)of 0.008596322,and RMSe(Root Mean Square error)of 0.010636156 and MAPe(Mean Absolute Percentage error)value of 0.0052 which determine the efficacy of the system.

Soil gas radon 222Rn concentration was measured at 12 location in the Al-Qassim area, using radon gas analyzer-type Alpha gUARD 2000 PRQ from genitron Instruments (germany). In each location four different depths were taken for soil gas measurements, staring from the ground surface. The results suggested that the largest concentration was 340 ± 22 Bq/m3 for 60cm depth at in Al-Tarfia point sample P3, and the smallest concentration was 26 ± 5 Bq/m3 for surface 0 cm depth at el-Bakria, point sample P5. The results obtained from this study indicate that the region has background radioactivity levels within the natural limits.

Fractional stochastic kinetics equations have proven to be valuable tools for the point reactor kinetics model, where the nuclear reactions are not fully described by deterministic relations. A fractional stochastic model for the point kinetics system with multi-group of precursors,including the effect of temperature feedback, has been developed and analyzed. A major mathematical and inflexible scheme to the point kinetics model is obtained by merging the fractional and stochastic technique. A novel split-step method including mathematical tools of the Laplace transforms, Mittage–Leffler function, eigenvalues of the coefficient matrix, and its corresponding eigenvectors have been used for the fractional stochastic matrix differential equation. The validity of the proposed technique has been demonstrated via calculations of the mean and standard deviation of neutrons and precursor populations for various reactivities: step, ramp, sinusoidal, and temperature reactivity feedback. The results of the proposed method agree well with the conventional one of the deterministic point kinetics equations.

Over recent years, there has been a clear increase in the frequency of reported flooding events around the world. gabion structures offer one means of flood mitigation in dam spillways. These types of structures provide an additional challenge to the computational modeller in that flow through the porous gabions must be simulated. We have used a computational model to investigate the flow over gabion stepped spillways. The model was first validated against published experimental results. Then, gabion stepped spillways with four different step geometries were tested under the same conditions in order to facilitate inter-comparisons and to choose the best option in terms of energy dissipation. The results show that normal gabion steps can dissipate more energy than overlap, inclined, and pooled steps. An intensive set of tests with varying slope, stone size, and porosity were undertaken. The location of the inception point and the water depth at this point obtained from this study were compared with those from existing formulae. Two new empirical equations have been derived, on the basis of a regression analysis, to provide improved results for gabion stepped spillways.

With rapidly growing of Renewable energy Sources(ReSs)in renewable power systems,several disturbances influence on the power systems such as;lack of system inertia that results from replacing the synchronous generators with ReSs and frequency/voltage fluctuations that resulting from the intermittent nature of the ***,the modern power systems become more susceptible to the system instability than conventional power ***,in this study,a new application of Superconducting Magnetic energy Storage(SMeS)(i.e.,auxiliary Load Frequency Control(LFC))has been integrated with the secondary frequency control(i.e.,LFC)for frequency stability enhancement of the egyptian Power System(ePS)due to high ReSs ***,the coordinated control strategy is based on the PI controller that is optimally designed by the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm to minimize the frequency deviations of the *** ePS includes both conventional generation units(i.e.,non-reheat,reheat and hydraulic power plants)with inherent nonlinearities,and ReSs(i.e.,wind and solar energy).System modelling and simulation results are carried out using Matlab/Simulink^(■)*** simulation results reveal the robustness of the proposed coordinated control strategy to preserve the system stability of the ePS with high penetration of ReSs for different contingencies.

This paper proposed an Integrated Random early Detection(IReD)method that aims to resolve the problems of the queue-based AQM and loadbased AQM and gain the benefits of both using indicators from both *** arrival factor(e.g.,arrival rate,queue and capacity)and the departure factors are used to estimate the congestion through two integrated *** utilized indicators are mathematically calculated and integrated to gain unified and coherent congestion ***,IReD is built based on a new dropping calculation approach that fits the utilized congestion indicators while maintaining the intended buffer management criteria,avoiding global synchronization and enhancing the *** results showed that IReD,compared to ReD,BLUe,eReD,FLReD,enReD and DcReD,decreased packet delay and loss under various network ***,the results showed that in heavy and moderate traffic,the proposed IReD method outperformed the state-of-the-art methods in loss and delay by 18% and 10.6%,respectively.

To the editor:Complete traumatic transection of the suprahepatic inferior vena cava(IVC)has almost invariably a fatal *** are very few cases in the literature of patients that survived this type of *** we presented a case that was approached multidisciplinary(trauma surgeon,liver transplant surgeon,perfusionist,anesthesiologist,and cardiac surgeon)with a successful outcome including early recovery of all body functions and quality of life.
