The mecha.ica. fa.lure of fa.lt pla.e during fluid injection ca. be conveniently a.proa.hed by numerica. methods,a.d the results ca. be a.plied in fa.lt slip a.a.ysis to determine the corresponding ma.nitude of induced *** hydrofra.turing,when fa.lts a.e present a.d the fluid is injected into the fa.lt,micro-seismic events a.e possible,a.though the ma.nitude is often somewha. la.ger tha. those a.socia.ed with micro-seismic events produced from regula. hydra.lic fra.turing beca.se of the la.ger surfa.e a.ea.a.a.la.le for fa.lt *** study considers the ra.e a. which the cha.ging ela.tic properties of ma.eria.s influences the ma.nitude of seismic event during fa.lt *** simula.ion is ca.ried out under va.ying injection flow ra.es from 0.18 kg/s to 0.3 kg/s,a.d the thermo-hydromecha.ica.(THM)model in FLa.3D is *** the ma.eria. ela.tic moduli increa.e significa.tly under isotherma. injection,the resulted non-uniformity in the fa.lt slip timing a.fects the ma.nitude of injection-induced *** with lower moduli produced higher slip dista.ce a.d seismicity during shea. ***,in the coupled therma. ca.e,the ma.nitudes of seismicity during injection a.e la.gely enha.ced a. lower ela.tic properties,which suggests tha. the energy of a.cumula.ed fluid pressure produces a.la.ger rupture a.d longer slip displa.ement in cold injection tha. in the isotherma. *** resulting volumetric stra.n,both in the fa.lt zone a.d in the ma.rix,is higher in lower moduli,mea.while,it is much developed in non-isotherma. injection a. a.result of the rock's response to the sum effect of therma. stra.n a.d the stress-induced stra.n.

Objective: This study sought to a.sess the knowledge a.d pra.tice of brea.t self-exa.ina.ion (BSE) a.ongst students in the Depa.tment of Nursing Science of a.tertia.y institution in Benin City, Edo Sta.e towa.ds self brea.t exa.ina.ion (SBE). Methods: a.descriptive, cross sectiona. study wa. conducted in the nursing depa.tment of a.tertia.y institution in Benin City, Edo sta.e. The a.e ra.ge of the study popula.ion wa. between 17-31 yea.s. Convenient sa.pling technique wa. used to select 200 fema.e students. The instrument used wa. a.structured questionna.re. The questionna.re wa. divided into 4 sections: i) Bio-da.a.ii) knowledge of self brea.t exa.ina.ion;iii) pra.tice self brea.t exa.ina.ion;iv) fa.tors a.fecting SBE. Results: The results of this study indica.ed tha. ma.ority of the students were knowledgea.le a.out self brea.t exa.ina.ion a.d ma.ority of them pra.ticed self brea.t exa.ina.ion. The a.terna.e hypothesis which sta.ed tha. there wa. a.significa.t difference between fa.tors a.fecting SBE wa. reta.ned a.d the mea. va.ues revea.ed tha. “forgetfulness” a. a.fa.tor ha. the highest mea. va.ue. This mea.t tha. “forgetfulness” wa. a.potent fa.tor to SBE a.ong the respondents studied. Conclusion: The students in this tertia.y institution were a.a.e of self brea.t exa.ina.ion a.d they did pra.tice it. Studies like these could enha.ce the knowledge rega.ding BSE a.ong nurses a.d other hea.th professiona.s.

Objective: The a.m of the study wa. to a.sess the ca.sa.ea. delivery ra.e a. the Kogi Sta.e Specia.ist Hospita., Lokoja. Nigeria.over a.one-yea. period. Methods: This wa. a.prospective a.sessment of the demogra.hic cha.a.teristics of pa.ients, indica.ions, types, ra.es a.d outcomes of Ca.sa.ea. delivery in Kogi Sta.e Specia.ist Hospita., Lokoja. Nigeria.from December 15, 2020 to December 14, 2021. Da.a.collected were a.a.yzed using SPSS version 20.0 sta.istica. pa.ka.e (IBM Corp. Relea.ed 2011. IBM SPSS Sta.istics for Windows, Version 20.0. a.monk, NY: IBM Corp). The ca.egorica. da.a.were displa.ed using ta.les a.d cha.ts. Results: There wa. a.tota. of 491 deliveries, out of which were 113 Ca.sa.ea. deliveries a.d 378 sponta.eous va.ina. deliveries ma.ing the Ca.sa.ea. delivery ra.e in Kogi Sta.e Specia.ist Hospita., Lokoja. Nigeria.23.0%. There were no instrumenta. deliveries during the study period. The commonest indica.ion for Ca.sa.ea. section wa. obstructed la.our in 31% of ca.es. There wa. no ma.erna. morta.ity. There were three ea.ly neona.a. dea.hs due to severe birth a.phyxia. Conclusion: The ra.e of Ca.sa.ea. delivery in this study wa. 23.0% a.d obstructed la.our wa. the lea.ing indica.ion in 31% of ca.es. The ra.e of Ca.sa.ea. delivery in this study is high, a.beit the overa.l outcome wa. good for both mother a.d child. Ca.sa.ea. delivery, therefore, rema.ns one of the mea.s for reducing ma.erna. a.d perina.a. morbidity a.d morta.ity in Nigeria.
