Increasing demands for improvement in power quality and power capacity have contributed to development of switched-capacitor multilevel inverters(SCMLIs).Recently developed SCMLIs enable single-stage voltage boosting,as well as inversion resulting in step-up ac *** reduction in number of components,this paper introduces a boost type singlesource nine-level(9-level)SCMLI employing two capacitors and three *** to the series-parallel connection process,capacitor voltages are inherently balanced and assist in quadruple voltage boosting from a *** voltage stress across semiconductor devices is limited to twice input voltage *** a minimum number of components,the proposed SCMLI can be extended to increase voltage levels without additional dc *** extension module adds two additional voltage steps in the output while maintaining maximum voltage stress the same as 9-level *** by in-depth analysis of circuit operation and power losses,a thorough comparison of recently developed single-phase 9-level MLIs is carried out,which verifies design *** simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the prominent features of the 9-level SCMLI under dynamic operating conditions.

Calcitonin receptor-like receptor(CRLR)is a human protein,that produces a calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor(CGRP)when associates with human receptor activity-modifying protein-1(HRAMP1).CGRP is believed to be involved in triggering of *** strategies were employed to design antimigraine drug using various CGRP antagonist/ligands but most of them have failed due to their inability to reach the target“CGRP receptor”as they get metabolized before conferring their pharmacological action and exhibit toxic effect to the *** present study,evaluated the binding of 13 phyto-chemical compounds of“Abrus precatorius”identified through GCMS analysis against the protein CGRP using“Discovery Studio software”.the molecular docking study and ADME/t properties prediction were performed with the compounds using C-DOCKER *** results showed that five lead compounds of *** may act as good inhibitors for migraine headache and the compounds can be re-designed and synthesized for better antimigraine activity.

the study of cordierite ceramic is the need of the hour in present technological world for various advanced engineering ***,which has relatively poor mechanical properties,has induced the use of various dopants to study the improvement in mechanical *** of seeking new materials with good mechanical properties has revived the research on ceria doped *** research conducted on pure cordierite and ceria doped cordierite ceramics has investigated the results of characterization and studied their *** cordierite and cordierite-ceria(CeO_(2))composite ceramics synthesized for various stoichiometric composition(5-20 wt%)were compacted at 240 MPa and sintered between 600℃and 1350℃for 3 *** characterization techniques used in this study were X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(tG)analysis and Fourier transform infrared(FtIR).the density was calculated using the Archimedes *** of the ceria addition on cordierite’s mechanical properties such as hardness,flexural strength and fracture toughness and on thermal properties as thermal expansion was *** results confirmed the presence of cordierite and ceria in the samples heat treated at 1350℃.Results of FtIR and tG analyses revealed the formation of cordierite and the effect of ceria *** mechanical properties studied were found to be encouraging and confirmed the suitability of cordierite-ceria as an alternate material for cordierite.

Kharsali village, located in the Northwest Himalaya near the confluence of the Yamuna River and Unta Gad, is situated on a thick(>150 m) paleolandslide deposit. the village is continuously being eroded at its base by the two rivers. Cracks are noted in most houses while the ancient Shani temple lying to the south of the village has tilted ~5° towards the northeast. three slope sections(S-1, S-2, S-3) were modelled and analysed to determine the displacement and shear strain patterns of the slopes. Based on surface failure conditions, potential slope instability of the Kharsali village was evaluated from 2D Finite Element Method(FEM) using Shear Strain Reduction(SSR) analysis in the Phase2 software. Results indicate a critical Stress Reduction Factor(SRF) of 1.5 for the southern edge of the village(S-1) housing the Shani temple. the development of failure surfaces at its lower portion signifies the propagating, progressive nature of the slope. the S-2 slope section is most vulnerable to slope failure, with a critical SRF of 1.08. this has been inferred by the formation of failure surfaces with displacements of 0.05-0.08 m. the S-3 section in the northern part of the Kharsali shows highest critical SRF of 2.76. the un-metalled road section in the north of the village near S-3 hasdeveloped a failure surface with displacement of 0.003-0.004 m, and a zone of subsidence. the S-3 section is relatively stable, whereas the S-2 section is the most vulnerable portion of the village.

the Deccan Syneclise is considered to have significant hydrocarbon potential. However, significant hydrocarbon discoveries, particularly for Mesozoic sequences, have not been established through conventional exploration due to the thick basalt cover over Mesozoic sedimentary rocks. In this study, near-surface geochemical data are used to understand the petroleum system and also investigate type of source for hydrocarbons generation of the study area. Soil samples were collected from favorable areas identified by integrated geophysical studies. the compositional and isotopic signatures of adsorbed gaseous hydrocarbons （methane through butane） were used as surface indicators of pe- troleum micro-seepages. An analysis of 75 near-surface soil-gas samples was carried out for light hydrocarbons （C_1-C_4） and their carbon isotopes from the western part of tapti graben, Deccan Syneclise, India. the geochemical results reveal sites or clusters of sites containing anomalously high concentrations of light hydrocarbon gases. High concentrations of adsorbed thermogenic methane （C1 518 ppb） and ethane plus higher hydrocarbons （∑C2＋ = 977 ppb） were observed. Statistical analysis shows that samples from 13% of the samples contain anomalously high concentrations of light hydrocarbons in the soil-gas constituents. this seepage suggests largest magnitude of soil gas anomalies might be generated/source from Mesozoic sedimentary rocks, beneath Deccan traps. the carbon isotopic composition of methane, ethane and propane ranges are from 22.5‰to -30.2‰ PDB, -18.0‰ to 27.1‰,, PDB and 16.9‰-32.1‰ PDB respectively, which are in thermogenic source. Surface soil sample represents the intersection of a migration conduit from the deep subsurface to the surface connected to sub-trappean Mesozoic sedimentary rocks. Prominent hydrocarbon concentra- tions were associated with dykes, lineaments and presented on thinner basaltic cover in the study area, which probably acts as channel for the micro-seep

A review of jellyfish aggregations focused on India’s coastal waters was conducted,with the aim to enhance understanding of conducive conditions and subsequent ecological *** swarming,as well as their beach strandings,have been reported from many areas of the world—including India’s coastal waters.A variety of natural(winds,tidal fronts,surface currents,water temperature,salinity,turbidity,dissolved oxygen)and anthropogenic(water quality deterioration,overfishing,translocation,habitat modification)factors play pivotal roles in triggering jellyfish *** aggregation events in the forms of their swarming in coastal waters and beach strandings have resulted in ephemeral nuisances such as water quality deterioration,food chain alterations,hindrance in seawater uptake by power plants,clogging of nets during fishing operations,and tourism *** well-known Indian tourist beaches(e.g.,Puri,Chennai,Goa,and Mumbai)have experienced beach *** recurrence of such events,jellyfishes are relatively less scientifically investigated and monitored in Indian coastal ***,it is important to determine the environmental conditions that trigger jellyfish swarming,in order to develop effective monitoring and prediction *** study additionally proposes a conceptual framework towards development of a jellyfish monitoring system for Indian waters using satellite and model data.

Structural Basis for Complementary and Alternative Medicine:Phytochemical Interaction with Non-Structural Protein 2 Protease-A Reverse Engineering Strategy

Objective： to understand the druggability of the bioactive compounds from traditional herbal formulations ＂Nilavembu Kudineer＂ and ＂Swasthya Raksha Amruta Peya＂ to heal chikungunya virus （CHIKV） infection. Methods： the efficiency of twenty novel chemical entities from ＂Nilavembu Kudineer＂ and ＂Swasthya Raksha Amruta Peya＂ to inhibit CHIKV infection in silico were evaluated. Ligands were prepared using Ligprep module of Schr0dinger. Active site was identified using SiteMap program. Grid box was generated using receptor grid generation wizard. Molecular docking was carried out using Grid Based Ligand Docking with Energetics （GLIDE） program. Results： Molecular docking studies showed that among twenty compounds, andrographoside, deoxyandrographoside, neoandrographolide, 14-deoxy-11-oxoandrographolide, butoxone and oleanolic acid showed GLIDE extra precision （XP） score of-9.10,-8.72, -8.25,-7.38,-7.28 and -7.01, respectively which were greater than or comparable with chloroquine （reference compound） XP score （-7.08） and were found to interact with the key residues GLLI 1043, LYS 1045, GLY 1176, LEU 1203, HIS 1222 and LYS 1239 which were characteristic functional unit crucial for replication of CHIKV. Conclusion： the binding affinity and the binding mode of chemical entities taken from herbal formulations with non-structural protein 2 protease were understood and our study provided a novel strategy in the development and design of drugs for CHIKV infection.
