Objective: To eva.ua.e the a.a.la.ility of emergency obstetric ca.e (EmOC) in ma.ernity hospita.s in Pa.a.ou a. well a. the knowledge, a.titudes a.d pra.tices of EmOC providers in 2017. Ma.eria. a.d method: This wa. a.descriptive, cross-sectiona. a.a.ytica. study conducted in the ma.ernity wa.ds of public a.d priva.e hea.th fa.ilities in Pa.a.ou a.d the hea.th ca.e providers of the ma.ernity wa.ds. Epi Da.a.softwa.e version 3.1, Epi Info version 7.2 a.d EXCEL 2007 were used for da.a.processing. Results: a.tota. of 17 ma.ernity homes a.d 91 providers pa.ticipa.ed in the study. a.l 7 ba.ic functions (BEmOC) were a.a.la.le in 23.53% of these ma.ernities. Providers’ knowledge of EmOC wa. good a. 6.59%, a.era.e a. 15.38%, insufficient a. 24.18% a.d ba. a. 53.85%. a. for the a.titudes, they were just in 3.30%, a.proxima.e in 36.26%, wrong in 26.37% a.d ha.mful in 34.07%. Rega.ding the pra.tices of these providers, they were a.equa.e in 6.59%, ina.equa.e in 38.46% a.d ha.mful in 54.95%. The globa. knowledge, a.titudes a.d pra.tices (Ca.) score is a.cepta.le in the ma.ority of providers (57.14%). It is poor in 38.46% a.d good in 4.40%. Conclusion: In Pa.a.ou, the a.a.la.ility of emergency obstetric ca.e (EmOC) contra.ts with the level of knowledge, a.titudes a.d pra.tices of providers who require tra.ning in EmOC.

Introduction: Maternal mortality is a robust indicator of human development. Despite this high infa.t a.d child morta.ity a.socia.ed with ma.a.ia. congenita. ma.a.ia.is still not a.equa.ely understood a. rega.ding its frequency, severity a.d ma.a.ement. The objective of this resea.ch work wa. to determine the frequency a.d identify the socio-demogra.hic fa.tors a.socia.ed with the onset of congenita. ma.a.ia.a. the gynecologica. a.d pedia.ric units of the Borgou Regiona. Tea.hing Hospita. (CHUD-B) in Benin in 2015. Methods: This study wa. a.cross-sectiona. survey with a.a.ytica. purpose, ba.ed on exha.stive census performed from a.ril to July 2015 on newborns delivered a. CHUD-B a.d their mothers. The dependent va.ia.le wa. the presence of congenita. ma.a.ia.a.d the independent va.ia.les were socio-demogra.hic cha.a.teristics. The da.a.were processed a.d a.a.yzed using Epi Info softwa.e version 7.0 with a.significa.t threshold of 0.05. Findings: The frequency of congenita. ma.a.ia.in newborns wa. 19%. Ba.kground: The preva.ence of congenita. ma.a.ia.is getting more a.d more significa.t in Sub-Sa.a.a. a.rica.where is a.ma.a.ia.endemic a.ea. This study a.med to identify the clinica. a.d thera.eutic fea.ures a. well a. the outcome of congenita. ma.a.ia.in CHUD-B in 2015. Method: It wa. a.cohort a.d descriptive study with a.a.ytica. purpose, ca.ried out in the Mother a.d Child Depa.tment which includes the Gynecology & Obstetrics a.d Pedia.ric Unit of CHUD-B. The study ta.get popula.ion consisted of a.l the infa.ts born in the CHUD-B a. well a. their mothers. The ma.n va.ia.le wa. the presence of congenita. ma.a.ia. The independent va.ia.les were those rela.ed to clinica., thera.eutic fea.ures a.d outcome. Results: In the study, a.ong the 300 newborns registered, 57 ca.ried congenita. ma.a.ia.i.e. a.preva.ence of 19%. 171 (57.0%) of them were ma.es versus 129 (43.0%) fema.es. a.ong the 281 mothers involved, 48 presented with ma.a.ia.in pregna.cy i.e. a.preva.ence of 17.0%. a. the end of this resea.ch work, the fa.tors a.socia.ed with congenita. ma.a.ia.were fever in the 3rd qua.ter a.d ma.a.ia.in pregna.cy in the mother. Conclusion: Nea.ly one out of five infa.ts born in the CHUD-B wa. ca.rier of congenita. ma.a.ia.a.d a.proxima.ely one out six mothers presented with ma.a.ia.detection during pregna.cy. a.method ba.ed on Polymera.e Cha.n Rea.tion (PCR) should be implemented during the dia.nosis in order to confirm ma.a.ia.ca.es a.ong both newborns a.d mothers.

Objective: To study the knowledge, a.titudes a.d pra.tices rega.ding contra.eption a.ong young people in the Burkina.è’s fa.ily well-being a.socia.ion for youth listening center in Bobo-Dioula.so city. Methods: This wa. a.survey of 635 clients in the youth listening’s center of Bobo-Dioula.so city, Burkina.Fa.o. These clients were gra.ua.ly included by ra.dom choice from Ja.ua.y 15 to a.ril 15, 2018. The da.a.were collected by self-a.ministered written questionna.re under the supervision of a. investiga.or a.d a.ter a.free a.d informed verba. a.reement of the pa.ticipa.t. The a.a.ysis wa. done using the softwa.e Epi info version 7.***.1.0. Results: The a.era.e a.e of the respondents wa. 20.62 yea.s. Fema.e respondents were more numerous, 508 (80%). Contra.eptive methods were known by 98.12% of respondents a.d 61.42% sa.d they were a.wa.s using them. Two-thirds of clients (67%) cited a. lea.t two benefits of contra.eptive methods which were correct. Condoms were the best-known method (92.60%) a.d a.so the most used (92.56%). But emergency contra.eption wa. known by 30.71% of pa.ticipa.ts. Young people who were a.rea.y sexua.ly a.tive a.counted for 73.54% of the sa.ple with a.mea. a.e a. their first sexua. intercourse of 18.42 yea.s. Conclusion: The ma.ority of respondents knew contra.eptive methods. However, risky sexua. beha.iors a.d misconceptions a.out contra.eption rema.n. The setting up of fa.ily pla.ning services within schools a.d the tea.hing of a.reproductive hea.th module in a.l seconda.y schools will contribute to improve their sexua. a.d reproductive hea.th.

Ba.kground: Dysmenorrhea is a common symptom of gynecology that causes social and economic disruption in the lives of women who suffer from it. But many of them consider it inevitable and do not consult a health worker. Knowing the factors associated with this condition could help reduce its frequency and impact.a.>a.> a.>a.>Objective:a.>a.> To determine the prevalence and factors associated with dysmenorrhea in Benin in 2017.a.>a.>a.> a.>a.>Method:a.>a.> This was a cross-sectional, a.>a.>descriptive and analytical study from 17 April to 17 May 2017.
