As cloud computing usage grows,cloud data centers play an increasingly important *** maximize resource utilization,ensure service quality,and enhance system performance,it is crucial to allocate tasks and manage performance *** purpose of this study is to provide an extensive analysis of task allocation and performance management techniques employed in cloud data *** aim is to systematically categorize and organize previous research by identifying the cloud computing methodologies,categories,and gaps.A literature review was conducted,which included the analysis of 463 task allocations and 480 performance management *** review revealed three task allocation research topics and seven performance management *** allocation research areas are resource allocation,load-Balancing,and *** management includes monitoring and control,power and energy management,resource utilization optimization,quality of service management,fault management,virtual machine management,and network *** study proposes new techniques to enhance cloud computing work allocation and performance ***-comings in each approach can guide future *** research’s findings on cloud data center task allocation and performance management can assist academics,practitioners,and cloud service providers in optimizing their systems for dependability,cost-effectiveness,and *** methodologies can steer future research to fill gaps in the literature.

Functional Outcomes of Adult Tibia Shaft Fractures Treated with Solid Intramedullary Nails versus Hollow Nails: A Systematic Review

Introduction: The management of fractures of the tibia shaft is an important aspect of orthopaedic care, and the selection of the surgical method for fixation can substantially impact patient outcomes. The current review aims to compare the outcomes of adult tibia fractures treated with solid nails to those treated with hollow nails. Methods: A search on Scopus, PubMed, and Cochrane Library, using three keywords (Outcome, Tibia shaft fractures, Nail) was conducted in April 2023. Results were compiled and two independent reviewers screened and selected eligible articles After removing duplicates, titles and abstracts were read to exclude ineligible studies. Full-text articles of the remaining papers were read to select eligible studies which were further critically appraised to ascertain their methodological quality. The data extracted from the selected papers were synthesized using a combination of pooling of results, tests of statistical difference (t-test and chi-square) and narrative synthesis methods. Results: A total of 2295 articles were obtained from the databases and citation searching. A total of 9 papers were identified as eligible and included in the review. Findings revealed that there is no statistical difference in the outcomes of tibia fractures treated with either solid or hollow nail groups such as duration of surgery (p = 0.541), rate of delayed and non-union (p = 0.342), and rate of surgical site infections (p = 0.395). Conclusion: Intramedullary nailing of tibia shaft fractures with either solid or hollow nails have similar functional outcomes.

Background:Many kinds of orchids have significant health benefits although ade-quate research on their biological functions is yet to be carried *** study inves-tigated the paracetamol-induced liver damage-protecting effect of epiphytic Aerides odorata methanol extract(AODE).Methods:The protective effects of AODE were studied by analyzing its effect on liver function parameters,messenger RNA(mRNA)expression,and tissue histopatho-logical *** results were confirmed by ligand-receptor interaction of molecular docking and multitarget interaction of network pharmacological ***:AODE significantly(pid phosphatase,aspartate aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,alkaline phos-phatase,γ-glutamyl transferase,lactate dehydrogenase,and total bilirubin compared to the reference drug *** level decreased,and the antioxidant genes catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD),β-actin,paraoxonase-1(PON1),and phosphofructokinase-1(PFK-1)were upregulated in AODE-treated paracetamol-intoxicated rats.A total of 376 compounds comprising phenols and flavonoids were identified using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight-mass spectrometry(UPLC-qTOF-MS).The online toxicity assessment using SwissADME and admetSAR exhibited drug-like,nontoxic,and potential pharmaco-logical ***,in silico analysis showed that isoacteoside,one of the identified compounds,exhibited the best docking score(−11.42)with the liver pro-tein human pituitary adenylate cyclase-1(Protein Data Bank id:3N94).Furthermore,network pharmacology analysis identified the top 10 hub genes,namely AKT1(protein kinase B),CTNNB1(catenin beta-1),SRC(proto-oncogene c-Src),TNF(tumor necrosis factor),EGFR(epidermal growth factor receptor),HSP90AA1(heat shock protein 90α),MAPK3(mitogen-activated protein kinase 3),STAT3(signal transducer and activator of transcription 3),CASP3(caspase protein),

目的探讨miR-141-5p在黏膜黑色素瘤(MM)组织及细胞中的表达及其意义,分析其影响MM细胞生物学行为的机制。方法回顾性收集2015年1月至2020年12月温州医科大学附属第一医院手术切除的MM和色素痣组织标本。qRT-PCR法检测并比较MM和色素痣组织、MM细胞株A375和人角质形成细胞株HaCaT中miR-141-5p、细胞外信号调节激酶(ERK)1/2 mRNA的相对表达量。采用Pearson相关分析miR-141-5p与ERK1/2 mRNA相对表达量的相关性。A375分别用miR-141-5p模拟物(模拟物组)、miR-141-5p模拟物对照(模拟物对照组)、miR-141-5p抑制物(抑制物组)和miR-141-5p抑制物对照(抑制物对照组)处理;采用qRT-PCR检测并比较4组细胞中miR-141-5p相对表达量;采用细胞计数(CCK)-8法、克隆形成实验、流式细胞术、划痕实验和Transwell侵袭实验观察并比较4组细胞存活率、增殖能力、细胞凋亡比例和细胞迁移、侵袭能力;采用Western blot法观察并比较4组细胞ERK1/2、磷酸化的ERK1/2(p-ERK1/2)蛋白相对表达量。采用HE染色、免疫组化染色观察MM和色素痣组织形态并检测p-ERK1/2、ERK1/2表达水平,比较不同p-ERK1/2、ERK1/2表达情况MM患者临床病理特征差异。结果miR-141-5p和ERK1/2 mRNA在MM组织和A375中表达下调(均P0.05)。结论miR-141-5p可能通过ERK1/2通路影响MM细胞生物学行为。

Model-independent Veltman condition,naturalness and the little hierarchy problem

We adopt a bottom-up Effective Field Theory(EFT)approach to derive a model-independent Veltman condition to cancel out the quadratic divergences in the Higgs *** show using the equivalence theorem that all the deviations in the Higgs couplings to the W and Z from the SM predictions should *** argue based on tree-level unitarity that any new physics that naturally cancels out the quadratic divergences should be ≤19 *** show that the level of fine-tuning required is unless the O(0:1%-1%) UV sector has a symmetry that forces the satisfaction of the model-independent Veltman condition,in which case all fine-tuning is *** also conjecture that,if no new physics that couples to the Higgs is observed up to~19 TeV,or if the Higgs couplings to the SM particles conform to the SM predictions,then the Higgs either does not couple to any UV sector or is fine-tuned.

Vitamin D improves viral response in hepatitis C genotype 2-3 nave patients

AIM: To examine whether vitamin D improved viral response and predicted treatment outcome in patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 2-3. METHODS: Fifty patients with chronic HCV genotype 2-3 were randomized consecutively into two groups: Treatment group [20 subjects, age 48 ± 14 years, body mass index (BMI) 30 ± 6, 65% male], who received 180 μg pegylated α-interferon-2a plus oral ribavirin 800 mg/d (Peg/RBV), together with oral vitamin D3 (Vitamidyne D drops; 2000 IU/d, 10 drops/d, normal serum level > 32 ng/mL) for 24 wk; and control group (30 subjects, age 45 ± 10 years, BMI 26 ± 3, 60% male), who received identical therapy without vitamin D. HCV RNA was assessed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Undetectable HCV RNA at 4, 12 and 24 wk after treatment was considered as rapid virological response, complete early virological response, and sustained virological response (SVR), respectively. Biomarkers of in? ammation were measured. RESULTS: The treatment group with vitamin D hadhigher BMI (30 ± 6 vs 26 ± 3, P 400 000 IU/mL, 65% vs 40%, P identifi ed vitamin D supplement [odds ratio (OR) 3.0, 95% CI 2.0-4.9, P 15 ng/mL, OR 2.2, P 30, OR 2.6, P < 0.01) as independent predictors of viral response. Adverse events were mild and typical of Peg/RBV. CONCLUSION: Low vitamin D levels predicts negative treatment outcome, and adding vitamin D to conventional Peg/RBV therapy for patients with HCV genotype 2-3 signifi cantly improves viral response.

Introduction: Malnutrition is a major public health problem in Mali, despite the efforts of the government, its technical and financial partners. The aim of this study was to evaluate the integrated management program for acute malnutrition (IMPAM). Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study that took place from January to December 2020 in the Douentza health district. The study included anyone with at least one malnourished child aged 6 to 59 months in their care who agreed to take part in the study, community health center staff who had given their consent, and the URENI manager at the Douentza reference health center. Data collected via questionnaires were entered into Excel and then analyzed using Epi-Info version 7 software. Results: A total of 138 acutely malnourished children aged 6 - 59 months, including 71 girls (51.45%), 138 accompanying mothers and 11 health workers, were included in our case study. Among the malnourished, 54.34% were in the 12 - 23 months age group and 69.57% had the severe form. 93% of the mothers interviewed were satisfied with the care provided, and all the health staff interviewed stated that community conflicts had an impact on IMPAM’s activities. Cure rates were 81% in Moderate Outpatient Nutritional Recovery and Education Unit (URENAM), 84% in Severe Ambulatory Nutritional Recovery and Education Unit (URENAS) and 92% in Recovery and Intensive Nutritional Education Unit (URENI). Drop-out rates were 19% in URENAM, 16% in URENAS and 0% in URENI. The death rate was 8% in URENI and 0% in URENAM and URENAS. Conclusion: This study confirms the high prevalence of malnutrition in the district (10.54%). It also reveals that factors such as inter-community conflict and insecurity have seriously affected the IMPAM program.
