Hypersonic reentry trajectory planning by using hybrid fractional-order particle swarm optimization and gravitational search algorithm

This paper proposes a novel hybrid algorithm called Fractional-order Particle Swarm optimization Gravitational Search Algorithm(FPSOGSA)and applies it to the trajectory planning of the hypersonic lifting reentry flight *** proposed method is used to calculate the control profiles to achieve the two objectives,namely a smoother trajectory and enforcement of the path constraints with terminal *** smoothness of the trajectory is achieved by scheduling the bank angle with the aid of a modified scheme known as a Quasi-Equilibrium Glide(QEG)*** aerodynamic load factor and the dynamic pressure path constraints are enforced by further planning of the bank angle with the help of a constraint enforcement *** maximum heating rate path constraint is enforced through the angle of attack *** Common Aero Vehicle(CAV)flight vehicle is used for the simulation purpose to test and compare the proposed method with that of the standard Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)method and the standard Gravitational Search Algorithm(GSA).The simulation results confirm the efficiency of the proposed FPSOGSA method over the standard PSO and the GSA methods by showing its better convergence and computation efficiency.

Removal of dye from the industrial wastewater is one of the most important subjects in water pollution *** adsorption/desorption cycles of a basic dye, methylene blue, on the internal almond shell, sheep manure waste and sawdust were investigated using fixed bed column experiments in order to study the adsorption capacity to remove MB and adsorbent regeneration efficiency. The adsorption breakthrough curves were predicted by the Thomas model, Yoon Nelson model, and Wolborska model and modified dose–response model using non-linear regression analysis. The results showed that the modified dose–response model was more suitable for the description of breakthrough curves for three adsorbents only in the first cycle. Although sheep manure waste presents the highest adsorption capacity, it is hard to regenerate and needs more time regeneration. Conversely, the internal almond shell presents lower adsorption capacity, but they are more readily regenerated.

Explainable recommendation systems deal with the problem of‘Why’.Besides providing the user with the recommendation,it is also explained why such an object is being *** helps to improve trustworthiness,effectiveness,efficiency,persuasiveness,and user satisfaction towards the *** recommend the relevant information with an explanation to the user is *** systems provide the top-k recommendation options to the user based on ratings and reviews about the required object but unable to explain the matched-attribute-based recommendation to the user.A framework is proposed to fetch the most specific information that matches the user requirements based on Formal Concept Analysis(FCA).The ranking quality of the recommendation list for the proposed system is evaluated quantitatively with Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain(NDCG)@k,which is better than the existing *** is provided qualitatively by considering trustworthiness criterion i.e.,among the seven explainability evaluation criteria,and its metric satisfies the results of proposed *** framework can be enhanced to accommodate for more effectiveness and trustworthiness.

From fraud detection to speech recognition,including price prediction,Machine Learning(ML)applications are manifold and can significantly improve different ***,machine learning models are vulnerable and are exposed to different security and privacy ***,these issues should be addressed while using ML models to preserve the security and privacy of the data *** is a need to secure ML models,especially in the training phase to preserve the privacy of the training datasets and to minimise the information *** this paper,we present an overview of ML threats and vulnerabilities,and we highlight current progress in the research works proposing defence techniques againstML security and privacy *** relevant background for the different attacks occurring in both the training and testing/inferring phases is introduced before presenting a detailed overview of Membership Inference Attacks(MIA)and the related *** this paper,we introduce a countermeasure against membership inference attacks(MIA)on Conventional Neural Networks(CNN)based on dropout and L2 *** experimental analysis,we demonstrate that this defence technique can mitigate the risks of MIA attacks while ensuring an acceptable accuracy of the ***,using CNN model training on two datasets CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100,we empirically verify the ability of our defence strategy to decrease the impact of MIA on our model and we compare results of five different ***,we present a solution to achieve a trade-off between the performance of themodel and the mitigation of MIA attack.

High quality micro mould tools are critical for ensuring defect-free production of micro injection moulded *** demoulding stage of the micro injection moulding can adversely affect the surface integrity due to friction,adhesion and thermal stresses between the metallic mould and polymeric replicated *** the present work,we propose the use of precision electropolishing(EP)as a shaping and polishing process to control the draft angle and fillet radius of micro features in order to ease *** defects that occur in replicated polymer parts include cracks,burrs and distorted features.A nickel mould having multiple linear ridges and star shape patterns was designed for the present investigation to have characteristic dimensions ranging from 10μm to 150μm and with various aspect ratios to study the effect of electropolishing on modifying the shape of micro features and surface morphology.A transient 2D computational analysis has been conducted to anticipate the effect of shaping on the Ni mould after electrochemical polishing with non-uniform material removal rates,based on the distribution of current *** experimental results indicate that after shaping using EP,the draft angle of star-patterns and linear patterns can be effectively increased by approximately 3.6°,while the fillet radius increases by up to 5.0μ*** controlling the electropolishing process,the surface roughness can be maintained under 50 *** work uses a green and environmental friendly nickel sulfamate electrolyte which can be effective for shaping of nickel micro features without causing any surface deposition.

Enhancement of Resistance to Protein Fouling of Poly(ether imide) Membrane by Surface Grafting with PEG under Organic Solvent-free Condition

Poly（ether imide）（PEI） membrane with enhanced antifouling property was successfully prepared in a mild and simple procedure. The virgin membrane was firstly functionalized with an aqueous solution of diamino-terminated poly（ethylene oxide） block copolymer （PEG-diamine）. Glutaraldehyde was used in a second step as a linker to chemically attach additional PEG-diamine to the primary amine groups grafted on PEI membrane surface. Immobilization of PEG segments was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Ultrafiltration experiments revealed that the enhancement of a PEG coverage on the membrane surface provided superior anti-protein-fouling property. Cycles of protein filtration also demonstrated that the antifouling surface was stable over time and excellent ultrafiltration performance could be maintained without the need of harsh cleansing operation.

Alterations in cellular calcium(Ca^(2+))signals have been causally associated with the development and progression of human *** Ca^(2+)signals are generated by channels,pumps,and exchangers that move Ca^(2+)ions across membranes and are decoded by effector proteins in the cytosol or in organelles.S-acylation,the reversible addition of 16-carbon fatty acids to proteins,modulates the activity of Ca^(2+)transporters by altering their affinity for lipids,and enzymes mediating this reversible post-translational modification have also been linked to several types of ***,we compile studies reporting an association between Ca^(2+)transporters or S-acylation enzymes with specific cancers,as well as studies reporting or predicting the S-acylation of Ca^(2+)*** then discuss the potential role of S-acylation in the oncogenic potential of a subset of Ca^(2+)transport proteins involved in cancer.
