With rapid advancement in surgical techniques and improvement in implant materials, rate of internal fixation for pubic symphyseal disruption in rotationally and vertically unstable pelvic ring injuries has increased. Among various modes of implant failure, screw/ plate breakage and loosening are common complications following unstable fixation. Migration of loose screws into the urinary bladder has been reported as an extremely uncommon complication of pubic symphyseal plating. Here we present a case report of a 52-year-old female who pre- sented with asymptomatic passage of screws in her urine following migration into the bladder, 2 years after symphy- seal plating for pubic diastasis in an anteroposterior compression pelvic ring injury.

The quality of coke affects the performance of the blast furnace, factors affecting coke quality include coal properties, coal charge granulometry and carbonization conditions. The coke properties in elude the size analysis, cold strength (Micum Indices-M4(). MI0) and hot strength (Coke reactivity Index-CrI, Coke Strength after reaction-CSr) properties and structural properties such as coke structure and texture. Structural properties comprise the porosity, pore-cell wall thickness and pore sizes, while textures consist of the carbon forms in the coke. In present work, advanced method such as image analysis method was used to interpret coke microstructure. Conventional methods such as determination of coke porosity by measurement of real and apparent density and mercury porosimetry have a number of limitations. Coke size, magnification, number of image frames captured, process of pellet preparations and coke properties such as M4(), M|0, CrI and CSr (low, medium and high values) were taken as variables for experimental purposes. The coke structure parameters such as porosity, length, perimeter, breadth, roundness, pore-wall thickness and pore size distribution of the pores were determined by image analysis method. This method provided average porosity in addition to pore-wall thickness and pore-size distribution. The pore wall thickness measuremenl by image analysis method provided significant correlations with M40, CrI and CSr values. This explained the usability of image analysis for coke structure measurement.

We address the Tc (s) and multiple gaps of La2CuO4 (LCO) via generalized BCS equations incorporating chemical potential. Appealing to the structure of the unit cell of LCO, which comprises sub- lattices with LaO and OLa layers and brings into play two Debye temperatures, the concept of itinerancy of electrons, and an insight provided by Tacon et al.’s recent experimental work concerned with YBa2Cu3O6.6 which reveals that very large electron-phonon coupling can occur in a very narrow region of phonon wavelengths, we are enabled to account for all values of its gap-to-Tc ratio (2Δ0/kBTc), i.e., 4.3, 7.1, ≈8 and 9.3, which were reported by Bednorz and Müller in their Nobel lecture. Our study predicts carrier concentrations corresponding to these gap values to lie in the range 1.3 × 1021 - 5.6 × 1021 cm-3, and values of 0.27 - 0.29 and 1.12 for the gap-to-Tc ratios of the smaller gaps.

Nearly 95% of monomers or chemical intermediates used today are based on fossilized carbon such as coal and petroleum. This has resulted in a high rate of depletion of fossilized reserves, continuous escalation in petroleum prices, environmental impact with the increase in emission of greenhouse gases, and accumulation of non-biodegradable waste on earth. Current global main challenges are moving towards green sources - need for vast new and sustainable material resources;supplement, reuse and replace petroleum based polymeric materials;biodegradability of materials to prevent build up of waste;toxicity associated with the preparation, usage and environmental safety. recent investigations are therefore, focused on procuring materials from the plant resources, agricultural waste and their utility in synthesis of polymeric materials. Amongst the polymers derived from natural resources poly(lactic acid) is a leading candidate. Commercial quantities of natural oil-based polyols such as castor, soya bean oil have been available over the past several years and currently used for synthesis of? polyesters, polyurethanes etc, but today many other? natural materials are also being investigated. It should be possible to produce sustainable polymers commercially and economically.

A perfect solution to the present natural convective flow problem of a vertical transfinite plate owing to the impulsive motion in the ubiety of first ordered chemical reaction, radiation absorption, radiation, Newtonian heating and species concentration in its plane is evolved by applying the method of Laplace transforms in closed form at the plate. Exact results for velocity, temperature, concentration fields are prevailed and expressions for heat and mass transfer rates are also found. The effects are analyzed for the respective invariables for both ammonia and water vapor.
