The composition-dependent microstructural morphology variations of Se89Zn2Te5In4 and Se87Zn2Te5In6 chalcogenide alloys are investigated. Glassy and nanophase surfaces and structural morphologies of these alloys have been described with help of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM), and their elemental concentrations are confirmed from the energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Experimental results demonstrate that the microstructure of Se89Zn2Te5In4 alloy belongs to pure glassy state, while the Se87Zn2Te5In6 alloy is with nanophase structure.

In the present work,we study the time evolution,significance of the N-S asymmetry excesses presented as a function of the solar cycle and prominent rotational periods(~27 d)separately for the northern and southern *** have investigated short-term variations of the hemispheric solar activity(sunspot numbers and sunspot areas)during the time period 2010-2015,which covers the ascending and the maximum phase of solar cycle *** have implemented the Lomb-Scargle periodogram and continuous wavelet transform power spectrum techniques to study the time evolution and dominant rotational periods separately for the northern and southern hemispheres,and whole solar *** results showed that the northern hemisphere exhibited longer solar synodic periods than the southern hemisphere,indicating that the northern hemisphere has a lower rotation ***,the northern hemisphere was found to be dominant before transferring to the southern hemisphere during ***,the sunspot areas clearly demonstrated a two-peak structure of solar activity in the northern and southern hemispheres respectively during 2012 and *** statistical significance of the southern hemisphere affirmed enhanced excess during the maximum phase of solar cycle 24.

We have theoretically studied the modal dispersion equation and effective refractive index of one-dimensional plasma photonic crystals (1-D PPCs) having different materials in one unit cell. The dispersion relations related for such structure is derived by solving Maxwell’s equation using the transfer matrix method. It is found that the presence of plasma in a unit cell enhanced the phase matching ability and provides additional degree of freedom to control phase matching condition compared to the conventional one-dimensional photonic crystals (1-D PCs).

A total of 33 samples of mine water discharges from the different mines of West Bokaro Coalfields of Hazaribag district of Jharkhand, India, were analyzed to carry out qualitative assessment and suitability for domestic, irrigation and industrial purposes. The electrical conductivity (EC) for measured samples and spatial differences reflects the wide variation in lithology, surface activities and hydrological regime prevailing in the region. The anion chemistry shows the dominance of SO4 2- and HCO3 - with minor contribution from Cl, NO3 and F. The cation chemistry indicate that 79% of the samples are Ca > Mg > Na > K, while the 6% belong to Ca > Na > Mg > K and 1% of Ca > Mg > K > Na. Concentrations of some heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Ni, Cr) are found to be well above the prescribed permissible levels recommended for the drinking water. The water quality assessment for drinking purposes indicate that most of the mine water having high TDS, total hardness (TH) and sulphate concentrations, suggests that mine water of the study area is not suitable for direct use in drinking and domestic purposes. The mine water can be used for irrigation purposes; however, high values of salinity, %Na, SAR, RSC and Mg-hazard at certain sites restrict its suitability for agriculture uses.

In this research paper,a solar air heater with triangular fins has been experimentally analysed and ***,an experimental set-up of a solar air heater having triangular fins has been developed at the location of 28.10°N,78.23°*** heat transfer rate through fins and fins efficiency has been determined by the Finite Difference Method model *** experimental data and modeled data of response parameters have been optimized in MINITAB-17 software by the Response Surface Methodology *** creating the response surface design,three input parameters have been selected namely solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height *** range of solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height ratio is 600 to 1000W/m^(2),4000 to 6000,and 0.4 to 0.8 *** response surface design has been analyzed by calculating the outlet temperature,friction factor,Nusselt number,fin efficiency,thermal performance factor,and exergy *** optimum settings of input parameters:solar intensity is 1000 W/m^(2);Reynolds number is 4969.7,and the fin base to height ratio is 0.6060,on which these response:namely outlet temperature of 92.531℃,friction factor of 0.2350,Nusselt number of 127.761,thermal efficiency of 50.836%,thermal performance factor of 1.4947,and exergy efficiency of 8.762%.

This work aims to present and explore thermal management techniques for the wire arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)of IN718 *** heat can be mitigated via air or water *** this study,the material was deposited under four different heat-input conditions with air or water *** air cooling,the layer is deposited in a normal atmospheric air environment,whereas with water cooling,the material is deposited inside a water tank by varying the water *** validate the air and water cooling thermal management techniques,IN718 single-pass and multilayer linear walls were deposited using the bidirectional gas metal arc welding based WAAM setup under four different heat input *** the deposition of single layers,the temperature profiles were recorded,and the geometric and microstructural features were *** multilayer wall structures,the mechanical properties(hardness,tensile strength,and elongation)were determined and assessed using the corresponding microstructural features explored through scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)*** microstructure observed through SEM analysis in the building direction was found to be nonhomogenous compared with that in the deposition ***,water cooling was found to govern bead characteristics,such as wall width and *** grain size and anisotropy of the mechanical properties also decreased in the water-cooled ***,water cooling is an economical and efficient method to mitigate excessive heat accumulation in WAAM-deposited IN718.

In the present study,we applied Tsallis non-extensive statistics to investigate the thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of quark matter in the Polyakov chiral SU(3)quark mean field *** this model,the properties of the quark matter were modified through the scalar fieldsσ,ζ,δ,χ,vector fieldsω,ρ,ϕ,and Polyakov fieldsΦandΦ¯at finite temperature and chemical ***-extensive effects were introduced through a dimensionless parameter q,and the results were compared to those of the extensive case(q→1).In the non-extensive case,the exponential in the Fermi-Dirac(FD)function was modified to a q-exponential *** influence of the q parameter on the thermodynamic properties,pressure,energy,and entropy density,as well as trace anomaly,was *** speed of sound and specific heat with non-extensive effects were also ***,the effect of non-extensivity on the deconfinement phase transition as well as the chiral phase transition of u,d,and s quarks was *** found that the critical end point(CEP),which defines the point in the(T−μ)phase diagram where the order of the phase transition changes,shifts to a lower value of temperature,TCEP,and a higher value of chemical potential,μCEP,as the non-extensivity is increased,that is,q>1.

In this paper, our main objective is to find out the necessary and sufficient conditions for a cyclic code of arbitrary length over the ring of four elements R1 = F2 ＋ u2 （u^2 = 1） to be a reversible cyclic code. We also obtain the structure of cyclic DNA codes of odd length over the ring R = F2 [u, v]/（u^2 -1, v^3 -v, uv- vu）, which plays an important role in Computational Biology. Furthermore, we establish a direct link between the elements of ring /{ and 64 codons used in the amino acids of living organisms by introducing a Gray map from R to R1. Among others, binary images of cyclic codes over R are also investigated. As applications, some cyclic DNA codes over R using the Gray map are provided.
