An extinct hydrothermal barite-silica chimney from the Franklin Seamount of the Woodlark Basin, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, was investigated for mineral distribution and geochemical composition. Six layers on either side of the orifice of a chimney show significant disparity in color, mineral assemblage and major element composition. Electron microscope（SEM） images reveal that the peripheral wall of the chimney is composed of colloform silica, suggesting that incipient precipitation of silica-saturated hydrothermal fluid initiated the development of the chimney wall. Intermediate layers, between the exterior wall and the inner fluid-orifice, dominate with barite and sulfides. Low Sr-to-Ba ratios（SrO/BaO = 0.015–0.017） indicate restricted fluid-seawater mixing, which causes relatively high-temperature formation of the intermediate layers. Whereas the innermost layer bordering the chimney orifice is characterized by more silica and a higher Sr-to-Ba ratio（SrO/BaO = 0.023）, could have formed due to a paragenetic shift from a high-temperature active phase to a cooler waning stage of formation. A paragenetic shift is also probably responsible for the change in mineral formation mechanism that resulted in the textural variation of barite and colloform silica developed during different growth phases of this barite-silica chimney.

The aim of this study was to formulate drug-loaded bio-lipstrips using novel bioexcipients isolated from the fruit pulp of Litchi chinesis(biomaterial L)and to explore the potentiality of lip skin as a novel translabial drug delivery *** biomaterial,prepared by a simplified economical process and purified by hot dialysis,was subjected to various physicochemical evaluations along with spectral analysis including Uv,FT-IR,Mass and ^(1)H *** lipstrip formulated with the novel bioexcipients was screened for its functional properties,including filmability using a film-casting method,and bio/mucoadhesitivity using a shear-stress method,the Park and Robinson method and a rotating cylinder ***-loaded bio-lipstrips were formulated by using biomaterial L as a strip former and dextrose as a *** formulated strips were subjected to various evaluations,including thickness,folding endurance,in-vitro release and in-vivo *** release of rosiglitazone maleate was maintained over 24 h,which was confirmed in in-vitro and in-vivo release *** results reveal that this biopolymer possesses promising stripability as well as *** formulated bio-lipstrips are feasible for delivering rosiglitazone maleate by translabial administration.

The present paper, a theoretical analysis of steady fully developed flow and heat transfer of two immiscible magneto hydrodynamic and viscous fluid, partially filled with porous matrix and partially with clear fluid bounded by two vertical plates, has been discussed, when both the plates are moving in opposite directions. The plates are maintained at unequal temperatures. The Brink-man-extended Darcy model has described the momentum transfer in a porous medium. The effect of various parameters and Darcy number are discussed in the flow field and the temperature profiles numerically and are expressed by graphs. The non-dimensional governing momentum and energy equations are analytically solved by applying the homotopy perturbation technique and the method of ordinary differential equation. It is observed that magnetic parameter (M) has a retarding effect on the main flow velocity and is to enhance the temperature distribution, whereas the reversal phenomenon occurs for the Darcy dissipation parameter (Da). The skin-friction component has also been determined and is presented with the help of a table. The magnetic parameter (M) reduces the skin friction coefficient for clear fluid region and is to increase the skin friction coefficient for porous region. It is also evident from table that getting bigger the width of the clear fluid layer increases the skin friction. The skin friction coefficient on both the plates (comparing at y = 0 and at y = 1 for A or B) increases when those are heated.

In this paper, our main objective is to find out the necessary and sufficient conditions for a cyclic code of arbitrary length over the ring of four elements R1 = F2 ＋ u2 （u^2 = 1） to be a reversible cyclic code. We also obtain the structure of cyclic DNA codes of odd length over the ring R = F2 [u, v]/（u^2 -1, v^3 -v, uv- vu）, which plays an important role in Computational Biology. Furthermore, we establish a direct link between the elements of ring /{ and 64 codons used in the amino acids of living organisms by introducing a Gray map from R to R1. Among others, binary images of cyclic codes over R are also investigated. As applications, some cyclic DNA codes over R using the Gray map are provided.

Development and Application of a validated HPLC Method for the Determination of Clindamycin Palmitate Hydrochloride in Marketed Drug Products: An Optimization of the Current USP Methodology for Assay

A simple efficient isocratic reversed-phase HPLC method was developed and validated for the determination of clindamycin palmitate hydrochloride (CPH) and its commercially available oral solution products. Separation was achieved on a Phenomenex Zorbax (Luna) cyano column (150 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) with a Phenomenex cyano guard cartridge (4 × 3.0 mm) on Agilent 1050 series HPLC system. CPH and its resolution standard lincomycin were eluted isocratically at a flow rate of 1 mL/min with a simplified mobile phase (potassium phosphate buffer (5 mM, pH 3.0)—acetonitrile—tetrahydrofuran (20:75:5, v/v/v)) and detected at 210 nm. The column was maintained at 25?C. The method was validated according to USP category I requirements. Robustness and forced degradation studies were also conducted. CPH marketed drug products were obtained from a drug distributor and assayed for potency using the validated method. validation acceptance criteria were met in all cases. The analytical range for CPH was 15 - 500 μg/mL and the linearity was r2 > 0.999 over three days. The method was determined to be specific and robust. Both accuracy (92.0% - 103.8%) and precision (0.67% - 1.52%) were established across the analytical range for low, intermediate and high QC concentrations. Method applicability was demonstrated by analyzing two marketed products of CPH, in which results showed potency >98%. The method was determined to be an enhancement over the current USP methodology for assay as a result of increased efficiency, reduced organic solvents and the elimination of matrix modifiers. This method was successfully applied for the quality assessment of: 1) currently marketed drug products and 2) will in future assess the product quality of novel dosage forms of CPH for pediatric use.
