BACKGROUND Pancreatic cystic lesions(PCLs) are common in clinical practice. The accurate classification and diagnosis of these lesions are crucial to avoid unnecessary treatment of benign lesions and missed opportunities for early treatment of potentially malignant *** To evaluate the role of cyst fluid analysis of different tumor markers such as cancer antigens [e.g., cancer antigen(CA)19-9, CA72-4], carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), serine protease inhibitor Kazal-type 1(sPINK1), interleukin 1 beta(IL1-β), vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A), and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)], amylase, and mucin stain in diagnosing pancreatic cysts and differentiating malignant from benign *** This study included 76 patients diagnosed with PCLs using different imaging modalities. all patients underwent endoscopic ultrasound(EUs) and EUs-fine needle aspiration(EUs-FNA) for characterization and sampling of different *** The mean age of studied patients was 47.4 ± 11.4 years, with a slight female predominance(59.2%). Mucin stain showed high statistical significance in predicting malignancy with a sensitivity of 87.1% and specificity of 95.56%. It also showed a positive predictive value and negative predictive value of 93.1% and 91.49%, respectively(P sitive mucin stain, cyst fluid glucose, sPINK1, amylase, and CEA levels had high statistical significance(P st, IL-1β, CA 72-4, VEGF-A, VEGFR2, and PGE2 did not show any statistical significance. Univariate regression analysis for prediction of malignancy in PCLs showed a statistically significant positive correlation with mural nodules, lymph nodes, cyst diameter, mucin stain, and cyst fluid CEA. Objective: Maximum androgen blockade(MAB), consisting of an antiandrogen plus either a luteinizing hormonereleasing hormone agonist(LHRHA) or orchiectomy, is a standard care for patients with prostate cancer. although, clinical trial results have been equivocal, none has shown a significant advantage in favor of MAB over castration alone in metastatic prostate cancer and MAB has been the subject of considerable controversy. The aim of this study was to compare MAB(orchiectomy or LHRHA "Goserelin") and anti-androgen "Bicalutamide" with castration alone(orchiectomy or LHRHA) in previously untreated metastatic prostate cancer patients. Methods: Hundred eligible patients with adequate performance status and adequate hematologic, hepatic and renal functions were included. MAB arm, fifty patients underwent castration either surgically by orchiectomy or medically by receiving Goserelin(3.6 mg) depot, which was injected subcutaneously every 28 days plus bicalutamide 50 mg once daily. Castration alone arm, fifty patients underwent castration alone either surgically by orchiectomy or medically by receiving Goserelin(3.6 mg) depot. Results: During the period from January 2011 to January 2013, with a median follow up of 18 months(range 6 to 24 months), there were eight deaths(16%), in MAB arm and ten deaths(20%) in castration alone arm. At three months, there were 35 patients(70%) with prostate specific antigen(PsA) normalization(≤ 4 mg/dL) in MAB arm versus 17 patients(34%) with PsA normalization in castration alone arm(P = 0.001). The median progression free survival(PFs) times were 22.18 months(95% CI, 19.7 to 24.2 months) for MAB arm versus 22 months in castration alone arm(95% CI, 18 to 25.9 months; P = 0.045). The survival rates for MAB arm were 82% at 18 months and 70.6% at 24 months versus 78.7% at 18 months and 75.1% at 24 months in castration alone arm(P > 0.05). The utilization of quantum states for the representation of information and the advances in machine learning is considered as an efficient way of modeling the working of complex *** states of mind or judgment outcomes are highly complex phenomena that happen inside the human *** these states is significant for improving the quality of technology and providing an impetus to scientific research aimed at understanding the functioning of the human *** of the key advantages of quantum wave-functions over conventional classical models is the existence of configurable hidden variables,which provide more data density due to its exponential state-space *** hidden variables correspond to the amplitudes of each probable state of the system and allow for the modeling of various intricate aspects of measurable and observable physical *** makes the quantum wave-functions powerful and felicitous to model cognitive states of the human mind,as it inherits the ability to efficiently couple the current context with past experiences temporally and spatially to approach an appropriate future cognitive *** paper implements and compares some techniques like Variational Quantum Classifiers(VQC),quantum annealing classifiers,and hybrid quantum-classical neural networks,to harness the power of quantum computing for processing cognitive states of the mind by making use of EEG *** also introduces a novel pipeline by logically combining some of the aforementioned techniques,to predict future cognitive *** preliminary results of these approaches are presented and are very encouraging with upto 61.53%validation accuracy.

Finding water resources for the desert plants is one of the important research areas since it enables saving water *** inermis plant was noticed to keep 5%of moisture in its rhizosphere zone;therefore,this study aimed to identify this source of *** endophytic bacteria were isolated from the root of *** and *** specific respiration rate was *** faecalis showed the highest specific respiration *** is a facultative chemoautotrophic hydrogen-fixing bacterium that utilizes the hydrogen gas as energy source and the water is produced as an end *** source of hydrogen gas for this bacterium is not only from air and soil gases but also from the hydrogen-producing bacteria such as Enterobacter spp.,which was among the isolated *** hydrogenases synthesizing genes(HoxC,HypA and HypB)were detected in most of the isolated bacteria and roots of four wild plants,out from 18 wild plant samples,epically the grains of the wild wheat *** result suggests that the hydrogen-fixing and hydrogen-producing bacteria transfer from the root through the plant to inhabit the grain/*** can help the grain/seeds to germinate in drought environment.

Effect of Natural Infection with Onion Yellow Dwarf Virus （OYDV） on Yield of Onion and Garlic Crops in Egypt

Present work highlights, first time in Egypt, the impact of OYDV infection on crops production. Plants grown in the field were individually labelled as either apparently healthy or diseased and were marked for harvesting. The percentage of yield loss due to viral infection was determined, on the basis of the average yield parameters of the healthy plant. The natural infection with OYDV in onion and garlic fields resulted in a substantial reduction in pseudo-stem length, number of leaves, plant weight and weight of bulb as well as number and weight of cloves. Results clearly indicate the impact of natural infection with OYDV on the crop yield of infected onion and garlic plants in comparison with the virus-free (uninfected) ones. The largest reduction in the yield of infected plants occurred in Chinese garlic (seds40) followed by (Baladi) garlic and onion Giza 20. This information suggests that measures have to be taken to prevent natural infection with OYDV into and within onion and garlic fields in order to avoid yield loss.
