Corona Virus Disease-2019(COVID-19)continues to spread rapidly in the *** has dramatically affected daily lives,public health,and the world *** paper presents a segmentation and classification framework of COVID-19 images based on deep ***,the classification process is employed to discriminate between COVID-19,non-COVID,and pneumonia by Convolutional Neural Network(CNN).Then,the segmentation process is applied for COVID-19 and pneumonia CT ***,the resulting segmented images are used to identify the infected region,whether COVID-19 or *** proposed CNN consists of four Convolutional(Conv)layers,four batch normalization layers,and four Rectified Linear Units(ReLUs).The sizes of Conv layer used filters are 8,16,32,and *** maxpooling layers are employed with a stride of 2 and a 2×2 *** classification layer comprises a Fully-Connected(FC)layer and a soft-max activation function used to take the classification decision.A novel saliencybased region detection algorithm and an active contour segmentation strategy are applied to segment COVID-19 and pneumonia CT *** acquired findings substantiate the efficacy of the proposed framework for helping the specialists in automated diagnosis applications.

Quality Characteristics of Gamma Irradiated Beefburger Formulated with Partial Replacement of Beef Fat with Olive Oil and Wheat Bran Fibers

Five beefburger formulations were prepared with substituting beef fat with olive oil and levels of wheat bran and irradiated at doses of 0 and 3 kGy, then samples were refrigerated stored and their quality characteristics were investigated. The results indicated that replacement of beef fat with olive oil and ascending levels of wheat bran in burger batter significantly decreased their contents of total lipids and saturated fatty acids, while increased their contents of dietary fibers, unsaturated fatty acids and the ratios of unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids to the saturated ones. moreover, significant improvements were observed in the cooking yield and moisture and fat retention of samples, proportionally to the added wheat bran, and both raw and cooked burger samples showed a high sensory acceptability. Irradiation of samples effectively inactivated Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella and enterobacteriaceae and significantly reduced the counts of mesophilic and psychrophilic bacteria as well as molds and yeasts without any adverse effects on the quality characteristics of samples. Thus, reducing beef fat levels with the addition of olive oil and wheat bran produced a highly acceptable beefburger products with improved nutritional content as well as improved cooking and binding properties, while irradiation improved their microbiological quality.

Steady State Analysis of an Isolated Self-Excited Dual Three-Phase Induction Generator for Renewable Energy

In this paper modelling and analysis in autonomous mode of dual three-phase induction generator (DTPIG) with a new algorithm have been done. We develop the steady state model of a dual three-phase self-excited induction generator for stand-alone renewable generation dispensing with the segregating real and imaginary components of the complex impedance of the induction generator. The obtained admittance yields the adequate magnetizing reactance and the frequency. These two key parameters are then used to compute the self-excitation process requirements in terms of the prime mover speed, the capacitance and the load impedance on the one hand and to predict the generator steady state performance parameters on the other. Steady state performances and characteristics of different configurations are clearly examined and compared. The analytical results are found to be in good agreement with experimental results.

Optimization of Air Quality monitoring Network Using GIS Based Interpolation Techniques

This paper proposes a simple method of optimizing Air Quality monitoring Network (AQmN) using Geographical Information System (GIS), interpolation techniques and historical data. Existing air quality stations are systematically eliminated and the missing data are filled in using the most appropriate interpolation technique. The interpolated data are then compared with the observed data. Pre-defined performance measures root mean square error (RmSE), mean absolute percentage error (mAPE) and correlation coefficient (r) were used to check the accuracy of the interpolated data. An algorithm was developed in GIS environment and the process was simulated for several sets of measurements conducted in different locations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This methodology proves to be useful to the decision makers to find optimal numbers of stations that are needed without compromising the coverage of the concentrations across the study area.

The main role of this article is to describe dental assistants and the dental department’s role in the dental delivery system for Special health care needs (SCHN) by creating a structure to educate the dental assisting profession and project factors that have a significant impact on the dental assistant. The dental assisting management of SCHN patient’s profession including dental Assistance general responsibilities, regulation credentialing, and education. The SCHN patient’s management creates a challenge in all area of the dental department. Handling patient with a SCHN is underexplored throughout the dental staff especially when there is not enough theoretical foundation, education and training to deal with this category of patients. SCHN patients are defined as individuals who have abnormal behavioral impairments, mental conditions or/and chronic disease or abnormal laboratory results. Thus, the aim of this article is to guide all dental assistance staff in the best dental management choice for SCHN patients. All health care teams are part of patient care in most medical settings. A work environment supportive ensures positive outcomes for patient care. This article was considered as those categories of patients required more care and special way to deal with, moreover language, age, gender and education level of the patient are also considered significant parries. Not many studies were found to support the care of SCHN patients in dentistry department. Taking experience from other area help to design a system to handle the SCHN even if it requires hiring a Dentist who is specialized in that filed.

Low Serum Free Triiodothyronine Is Associated with Increased Risk of Decompensation and Hepatocellular Carcinoma Development in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis

Background: FT3 levels in plasma may provide a marker for liver status in cirrhosis. Aim: The aim is to correlate thyroid functions with hepatic status in compensated and decompensated cirrhosis, and to study their effect on development of HCC. Settings and Design: Prospective controlled cohort study. A total of 58 patients with liver cirrhosis were recruited from Kasr AlAiny ER and outpatient clinics. Patients were categorised into compensated (11), decompensated (39) and patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (8). The study also included 12 healthy controls. methods and material: Liver function tests, TSH, FT4 and FT3 and abdominal ultrasound and triphasic computed tomography abdominal scans were done. Statistical Analysis Used: Chi-square and unpaired t-tests were used for comparison. One way ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis tests were used to compare more than two groups. Spearman Correlation followed by logistic regression analysis of significant variables was used to find predictors of dependent variables. Results: The frequency of patients with low FT3 was significantly higher in patients with liver cirrhosis (48%), and HCC (50%) than control subjects (12%) (p-value mean serum FT3 was lowest among decompensated patients (2 pg/ml ± 0.7), followed by patients with HCC (2.5 pg/ml ± 0.7) and highest among compensated patients (3.7 pg/ml ± 0.4), p-value male gender, ulcer bleeding and encephalopathy were independently associated with the development of HCC (OR, 95% CI: 1.1, 0.3 - 8). Conclusions: Low FT3 is common among patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis and HCC. FT3 shows a significant negative correlation with severity of liver disease and deterioration of liver function. Low FT3 shows a significant independent association with HCC.

Health-Promoting Behaviours of University Nursing Students in Jordan

The purpose of this study was to determine health-promoting behaviours of university nursing students in Jordan. This descriptive cross-sectional study used convenient sampling technique to recruit 167 undergraduate nursing students in Jordan. Data were collected by using an Arabic version of Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II. The study results revealed that the mean item score for total Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II was (127.24 ± 21.03). The students obtained highest scores in spiritual growth (25.04 ± 4.70) and lowest in physical activity subscales (16.27 ± 5.21). Significant difference was found between Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II subscales (stress management, health responsibility, and interpersonal relations) and students’ age and gender.

Characteristics of escape mutations from occult hepatitis B virus infected patients with hematological malignancies in South Egypt

AIm To investigate the prevalence and virological characteristics of occult hepatitis B virus(HBV) infections in patients with hematological malignancies in South *** Serum samples were collected from 165 patients with hematological malignancies to monitor titers of HBV DNA, hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag), and antibodies to HBV core(anti-HBc) and surface antigens. Serum samples negative for HBs Ag and positive for anti-HBc were subjected to nucleic acid extraction and HBV DNA detection by real-time polymerase chain reaction. DNA sequences spanning the S region were analyzed in cases with occult HBV infection. In vitro comparative study of constructed 1.24-fold wild type and S protein mutant HBV genotype D clones was further performed. RESULTS HBV DNA was detected in 23(42.6%) of 54 patients with hematological malignancies who were HBsA g negative, but anti-HBc positive, suggesting the presence of occult HBV infection. The complete HBV genome was retrieved from 6 occult HBV patients, and P120 T and S143 L were detected in 3 and 2 cases, respectively. Site directed mutagenesis was done to produce 1.24-fold genotype D clones with amino acid mutations T120 and L143. The in vitro analyses revealed that a lower level of extracellular HBsA g was detected by chemiluminescence enzyme immunoassay(CLEIA) with the clone containing T120 mutation, compared with the wild type or the clone with S143 L mutation despite the similar levels of extracellular and intracellular HBs Ag detected by Western blot. Southern blot experiments showed that the levels of intracellular HBV DNA were not different between these clones. CONCLUSION Occult HBV infection is common in patients with hematological malignancies and associated with P120 T and S143 L mutations. 120 T mutation impairs the detection of HBsA g by CLEIA.
